Staff were absolutely terrific, really accommodating and friendly. Food was excellent and served in a positive environment. The rooms were cleaned really well and very quickly. My only gripe would be that the heating system/radiators slowly turning on and off made a surprisingly loud noise and enough to wake us up during the night/morning but other than that our stay was wonderful. We'll definitely be back again

I went here for lunch, we tried taco chips, they were lovely and very big portion, but not as nice as abra. We tried chicken cesar wraps, which were big portions with chips aswell. The staff were lovely and friendly and even took a photo for us as I was on holiday and wanted a family photo. The only downside was it was really sunny and the outdoor seating area had a plastic cover which was trapping the heat. But over all it was a fab afternoon. Would definitely recommend if in the area, someone across from me had salmon and it looked devine.

Food was really tasty, would recommend the spicy chicken burger with a creamy Guinness. They also have fantastic crispy wings and a new dish with crispy chilli chicken with fries, garlic and hot sauce. Delicious. Also a great pint of Guinness. Great selection of beers on top and tv screens

Popped out to the Woodfield to get some dinner for take-away. Ordered their unreal chicken wings, the Cajun chicken burger (if you haven't tried it yet, just do) and the vegetarian curry, quality food! Everything was delicious. Love the food, the welcoming staff. The friendly bar staff and service ladies on meal times. Very relaxing lovely seating area in front. Food delish. Open airy and bright. And inside warm little snugs with regulars at the bar all in for food chat and a pint. Great place to go ample parking however if going for lunch go early to get the parking place especially if you have elderly, need to maneuver wheelchairs in tiny spaces relating to parking 🥵apart from that could not praise kitchen staff enough food is excellent and plentiful. 5 stars!oh and they know when to bar anyone acting inappropriately. Kudos to them for that.

Very noisy, the room we were in was adjacent to the kitchen, and due to the window not being soundproof the noise from the extractor fan, and compressor for the kegs kept us awake nearly all night. On a positive note, the food in the bar was fantastic.

Visited yesterday for a Sunday lunch with my partner. First time we've had a meal at this hotel. The bar area was busy due to a hurling match on the tv's. But fortunately it was warm enough to sit outside, although the noise of the traffic did disturb the peace (not much they can do about that so a mute point). The beef roast was very tender served with a mash and veg. Service was impeccable. Great value for money. Cannot fault the bar/restaurant at all. Will definitely be coming back.

A great place to stay with ample parking for anyone driving there. The food from the adjacent restaurant was amazing and truly scored some serious points with me. The rooms were large and clean but we had issues with the plumbing of the place. The sink cold water tap didn't work correctly and the shower dials were clearly faulty. Some staff members were a bit moody but I guess everyone can have a bad day.

This was a very well priced hotel. It was close to the city centre and a decent night life. Our room was just above the bar which was very busy. You could hear a little bit when the room was perfectly quiet going to bed but we just turn the fan on and couldn't hear anything. All and all it was a place to crash for the night with a clean room and bed.

This Hotel has recently changed hands and is now a very comfortable and welcoming establishment. The bar in the Woodfield serves great value for money food and is a great place to visit for a drink after a match in the Gaelic Grounds (just 2 minutes down the road) or Thomond Park (about a 10 minute stroll away)

Relatively pricey for what you get. 120 for a smallish room, on the edge of the city. Shower cramped. Bathroom very tight. It was a must stay on a Saturday, so it was that or twice the price in the city centre.
