C. B.The hotel is stunning! Interior design has been completed with taste and sophistication. Annette was the most wonderful host as was her son who delivered the most fabulous breakfast. The location is perfect with lots of lovely walks on your doorstep including the river outside the front door. I cannot wait to return especially when restrictions are eased.
N. R.Just had the most amazing dinner here. Had the mushroom and chicken pasta, it came with ciabatta and pesto, I actually hate pesto but decided to try it anyway, it was fabulous. Our server was Michelle & a girl with red hair they were both very attentive and friendly. Thank you very much for a lovely evening

C. m.Stayed here for a Saturday night with a couple of friends recently. The hotel is in a nice location by the river. Rooms were clean and cosy, coffee machine in the room was a nice touch. Bar was busy and had a nice crowd in it. Guinness was very good. Food was nice, well presented and reasonably priced. We were served most of the night by Amy who was excellent. She was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. She was very knowledgeable on the cocktails available and could recommend good cocktails for 'the girls' in our group. Breakfast was very filling and delicious. The ladies serving breakfast were a true example of good Irish hospitality. Would recommend.

P. O. D.I don't write many things about where I stay but some places deserve to be mentioned. Awsome hotel. Spotless and very well maintained. The food available in the bar is in my opinion fantastic. Highly recommend place to stay and eat.
p. m.Great food and the staff, in particular the head waiter were very good. The loose a star as the cap on the tank for the septic tank was open in the outdoor dining area leaving a light but definet odour
R. S.Normally a good spot to stop but today I was short on time and they didn't have my pasta dish ready within the 30mins I was sitting there so I had to leave. €10 for a few chicken wings isn't great value.

Steak was pretty bland and tasteless, ciabatta bread dry and came with nothing on the side.
Basically I had a lump of tasteless meat on dry bread. The pepper sauce was excellent though.

She said if I was not happy with the room she would change it. The room is stunning, absolutely immaculate and smell lovely. The location is also stunning. Not only would I stay again, I would move in!

L. W. C.Keenan's is a fabulous boutique Hotel. It is second to none for certain! Annette is one THE most genuinely customer focused owners you will ever meet. An absolute Lady! Already cannot wait to re visit. Definitely one of my favourite spots.
In the pictures I've posted Annette is sporting the Bonemarrow for Leukemia Trust t shirt. Keenan''s very generously covered B&B costs for an over night of a 250km+ cycle.

We didnt eat in the evening due to late arrival and previous plans but dinner menu had plenty of options. Rooms were very clean and modern but a little to compact in size..
Only real issue was size of beds. two very narrow single beds pushed together to makeup a double bed. So bed was not to comfortable for a couple. As singles our daughters felt cramped and confined. They advised singles were more suited to teenagers than adults.
Room was wheelchair room but was not suited to wheelchair guest needs. Wheelchair bathroom door has to be held open for wheelchair person. No safe or accessible shower facilities in room. Even the sinks are to high.

Parking can be troublesome as it is only a small village and the hotels car park is quite small but when you do find a space it's well worth it

C.Food took an hour to get to us and in the process we asked a waiter where our food was and he came across quite rude. The food was nice though.

Food was one the best meals I have had in a hotel in a long time and very reasonably priced. The decide and surroundings throughout are just stunning and cant thank the staff and management enough for such a wonderful place. Little things like the real tea (tea leafs) that were served for breakfast and toast rack. As they say it's the simple things can make a difference. Can wait to go back and visit.

Today I thought the vegetable lasagna was terrible. It was too small, burned black, dry and as far as I could see had only a small amount of spinach in it.

A nice warm welcome from Betty who showed us the room first and we were very impressed. Small, but with everything you need for a very comfortable stay, and a little balcony overlooking the river. The attention to detail all over the property is second to none. Dinner in the bar was superb, a great menu and very good service. It's a cosy comfortable place and even on a Tuesday night was busy.
Breakfast in the morning, consisted of a very nice buffet table and then hot breakfast cooked very well to order by David. The overnight cost for two sharing is not in the "economy" bracket, but Keenans is not an "economy" hotel, far from it. I was sorry we could only stay for one night.
Definitely one for your to do list.

N.As far as local places go or even if your on a journey to somewhere else, make sure you stop in here for food. You will not regret it. I had the ravioli with spinach and a sauce with mozzarella over it, I ate it within minutes wanting more and more, I even ate half my wife's dinner which was the chicken breast on beautiful bread with lovely sauces ... great price too and staff are friendly and polite. Again I cannot stress enough that you should stop by here no matter what ! I'll definitely be coming back again.
