Room was cold with terrible smell on the hall. Internet does not work and TV was fuzzy
Bar staff were rude and unhelpful. There was no food on the premises before after 8pm. We were advised the shop next door which is owned by the same people as the hotel was open but it was not.
I understand that we are in difficult times but heating and basic facilities should be at a good standard

We eat there a few evening and enjoyed some very enjoyable meals .
The steak was delicious, as was the lamb shank , burger and chicken wings .
Yet the highlight of the stay was the service! With Tara on the front desk always happy to help, Mo the manager and the star of our stay , had to be Susan! .
Evening time was bliss, with service like this. Never without a drink , food orders were quickly delivered and always with a smile .
Congratulations on having such wonderful staff, they are doing a stellar job .

It was excellent. The food served at the wedding was excellent, every course was good. The rooms are what you would expect from a small hotel. Simple but clean. This is really a fantastic place and I would stay again without hesitation.

Great thanks to the staff for looking after us today. As designated driver I was offered a selection of mocktails to choose from. The Afternoon Tea itself was lovely and freshly made and everything was so tasty. All the staff looked after us very well we felt very pampered.

Now the negatives,
Tired old TV with limited and very poor quality channels.
Water was barely hot for the 2 days we were there resulting in a rushed bath time.
Had to change firstly the TV as wasn't working and then 30 minutes later rooms because of sink blockage with inefficient plug.
Overall I found it a charming place but fell short of what is considered acceptable these days, If it wasn't for the great food and staff I'd mark it down to 2 star, but they are doing a great job with one hand tied behind their backs and helping the hotel out no end.
The hotel must invest if they want to compete in this market, would I return here...?
Yes purely for the access to the excellent Royal canal Greenway and the fact that the food was great.
Special mention to what I think is a floor manager who worked his socks off for us in changing rooms and also so friendly in the restaurant...
O. A.This is what is described as a hidden gem. This place looks very unassuming from outside but it is quite massive. It's know for its wedding venue, however it's a great place to relax for a few days. You could feel the warm ambience right from the door. It's a combination of vintage and modern. Check in was very pleasant. We arrived late but the kitchen was still able to accommodate us despite that it was about to close. The food was very tasty and flavoursome. Comfort food at its best with a touch of fine dining. Every meal was quite delicious. The accommodation has been well maintained and we had a comfortable sleep. The shower was one of the best I've used. The staff were so outstanding. Ever so courteous and friendly. If I would critique anything, it would be the small tv and lack of channels. Remote control was not working as well. The tv and lack of channels would be a big deal if you came with the kids because they would easily be bored. There was a live performance on our last night which was really cool. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here and we are already planning our next visit to this beautiful hotel. Quite outstanding really.

B.From Suzanne at the front desk who helped me book over the phone and checked me in to Bo, Kerrie and the rest of the Murty bar staff (I didn't get all their names) I have never been so well taken care of. My compliments to the chef, I ordered the Hamlet burger and thouroghly enjoyed every morsule.

D. W.Stopped at the Hamlet after a walk along the Royal Canal at Enfield. The Hamlet is only minutes away with plenty of parking at the back. They have a great outdoor dining set up at the back also. Staff very friendly and efficient, food very good and good value. Well worth a visit.
S. O.Wedding Venue Review - We just had our wedding in the Hamlet Court and it was an amazing day. Our wedding coordinators were Sharon and Fiona, and from the first time we met them, right through to the wedding day and after they have been outstanding. They are incredibly accommodating, and they never caused undue stress to us in the run up to the day. We had to reschedule twice due to Covid restrictions and there were no issues on the hotels part in helping us out, which was brilliant. The food was incredible, and on the day it was prepared by John, the owner of the hotel, who is very relaxed and pleasant to deal with. Mo, the manager, was also brilliant to deal with. The entire staff are excellent, and John should be very proud of the team there. The room was very nicely set up, and even though we only had 6 guests, it felt very cosy and romantic. We would absolutely have no issues recommending the Hamlet Court for a wedding, or any other service. They always go above and beyond.

M. W.I selected this hotel from the internet and decided to book as I was most impressed by Sharon the receptionist who was extremely helpful. However, I didn’t know how good, bad or indifferent it was going to be. Well, on arrival, any concerns quickly evaporated; the exterior or the hotel was festooned by the most beautiful hanging baskets, the hotel itself was clean and well decorated and our room was large (with a king size bed and another single bed) and lovely decor. Everything we could have wanted or needed was there. We ate in the small informal dining room where the menu was extensive, to say the least, and the food was excellent. The staff were all wonderful and nothing was too much trouble for them, extending good humour and true Irish hospitality. I would heartily recommend anyone to book this hotel d experience it for themselves. One thing I can tell you is, we will keep be back!

The Hamlet Court Hotel is a gem and a credit to the family that runs such a professional, friendly,lively and welcoming establishment.
All staff were so attentive and went out of their way to assist in every way possible.
We booked into the restaurant for the 2 nights we stayed and it was top class,the waiter was so nice,a character and has been working there for 18years.
Room was spotless.
We visited Dunadee Forest which is a short journey from the hotel.
Also toured Trim Castle and went to Bettystown beach.
We are regretting leaving to go to the next hotel.

We came in late after being at a nightclub and the night porter made us stand out in the rain while he checked our names 1 by 1 on his sheet. I made quite a fuss and had to barge in as was freezing and thought he was carrying on ridiculously then he tried to say I wasn't staying in my room. Very unprofessional and very bad attitude we were so angry being treated like that. Plus breakfast was bit of a let down also

Hotel was amazing, clean, superb staff, my evening meal was fish and chips with tartar sauce and a helping of Garlic bread. It was superb I could not fault it in the least. For breakfast I had scrambled eggs with bacon, the chef came out greeted me and offered me more or crispier bacon. he was the nicest chef I’ve met in a long while.
The girls on reception desk where helpful, very polite and did their job is remarkably well.
I left my laptop mouse behind me by accident, they rang me and said it was put aside safe till my next visit and I can guarantee there will be a next visit.

N. Q.I visited the Hamlet Court hotel for the first time last Saturday for a family wedding. The hotel is situated in a lovely spot in co. Kildare, a beautiful area. What impressed me.most about the venue was that it was really family-friendly. The staff were very polite and seemed very well organized. The maitre was very careful about every detail (i.e. at a certain point as I had ordered salmon and I was one of the last guests to be served, I was left with no vegetables. The maitre spotted that and made sure I was served vegetables straight away). The food was delicious. As I said I ordered salmon and it was lovely. Children were made feel very welcome, which for me is a massive plus, having three youngsters aged 6 and under. I had a very positive experience, I would love to be back and this time stay overnight.
