S. C.After flying all night to get to Dublin, we needed a quiet place to recuperate for a couple of days. Trim is only 45 minutes from the Dublin airport. The Highfield House is THE place to stay in Trim. It is a gracious old house but has all the modern amenities. Breakfast was made to order per our preferences. It is a short walk to town. There are miles and miles of walking paths along the river and around the Trim Castle. Say hee-haw to the family of Donkeys across the road.
O. G.Wow Highfield House was amazing! Geraldine was so lovely and the house was beautiful.
We rented out the whole house for a group of 20 and it was perfect. Every room had an ensuite with extremely comfortable beds. Lovely outside patio area with wooden gazebo which had a gas heater which was an excellent touch! The kitchen in the house is incredible - proper industrial kitchen! Perfect for cooking breakfast for our group. Beautiful view of Trim Castle from the house and was only a 5 minute walk into the town.
Geraldine was very accommodating with check in and check out times. Didn't have to rush out in the morning which was really so nice. Couldn't recommend Highfield House enough! Hopefully I will be back in the future! Thanks for everything :)

W. A.We wrapped up a 10 day trip by staying at Highfield house. This was truly saving the best for last! We were greeted by our lovely host and she made us immediately feel at home. This is a spacious beautiful old house with a manicured comfortable courtyard. This house is a short walk to everything in downtown Trim. The breakfast was fantastic. It is a short drive from Dublin and convenient to the airport. Very nice!
J. I.I needed to move room because of serious smell in bathroom that just would not go away. Next room was not as nicely appointed, but still comfortable. Furniture not my style. It had a lot of character; but appeared to be modern construction in an older style, and not very well constructed at that. Had a good nights sleep and a wonderful breakfast the next morning. Staff are quite friendly and helpful. Location is very good; close to the castle and downtown restaurants.
D. N. P. S.A beautiful bed and breakfast walking distance to downtown Trim and Trim Castle. We stayed here on the night before flying out to Dublin. Was a quick 40 minute drive to the airport on a Saturday. Didn't get to have breakfast but the menu looked delicious.
A. M.I had a lovely stay at Highfield House. Bed was comfy, although the pillow was okay, the bed linen not my cup of tea but I know it is to suit the style of the house. Bathroom very nice I didn't notice the shower gel etc until after a shower they were hidden behind the curtains. The breakfast was perfect!

l. p.We arrived here for our first night in Ireland and couldn't have experienced better hospitality. The grounds and house are beautifully appointed and the breakfast is delicious. The service is top notch. Geraldine made us feel as though we were visiting her in her own home. The perfect start to our Irish holiday!

M. H.Very nice place, peaceful and quiet with a beautiful view of the landscape garden to the front overlooking the river. The entire premises is spotless clean. Plenty of sockets in the room which is always a plus. The staff and owner extremely friendly. I would recommend this place for its unique charm and warmth.
D. H.A friendly place in a GREAT location. Highfield House is more like a small, intimate hotel than a bed and breakfast. However, the rooms a great, and the breakfast provides a lot of good options. The best part about the establishment is that it is within waking distance of the heart of Trim, including the castle, and the walking trials along the River Boyne. It seems to be heavily frequented by American tourists.
D. M.The hostess made every effort to allow us access early to our rooms to change for a wedding after we travelled a long distance.
There is a wonderful, warm and homely atmosphere about the old house and the set breakfast menu was amended without fuss to suit a friend of mine.

J. H.Beautiful B&B across the street from Trim Castle (Braveheart movie). Fairly large with spacious rooms. Great hospitality, apparently it was a previous hospital back in the day. The full Irish breakfast and more was very good and plentiful. If you are in the area I would definitely would recommend it

M. P.Beautiful room and location second to none. We were just a moment's walk from Trim Castle, where some scenes from Braveheart were filmed in 1994. There were ample parking spaces, strong Wi-Fi and TV with a cable box!
