Except I couldn't turn the heat off. Staff was aware of the problem. Restaurant and bar was fantastic. Ate breakfast at the outside seating area enjoying the fresh air.

D.Genous 3, room great and very peaceful, receptionist on leaving I would say appalling, breakfast service not great as with and the food, lacked flavour, rubbery poached eggs and horrible blackpudding. Seriously blame management on training and standards, it doesn't take that much more effort to do a good job as oppose to a mediocre.

s.We arrived in for lunch on Monday at the same time as a coach tour. The dining area was extremely busy. I had my elderly father with me who hadn't been there for many years. We were about to leave when a wonderful member of staff Kevin said he would get us a table and sandwiches. Service excellent. Food great. But the staff want out of their way to accommodate us. Very very thankful to them. Really lovely lunch and a trip down memory lane,. Thank you

D. H.We had our wedding at The Racket Hall in January 2019. Everything about it was amazing from start to finish. The staff were fantastic to deal with and genuinely could not do enough to help us. All our guests raved about the food, which was all so plentiful and tasty.
We would highly recommend visiting this hotel for any occasion, you will not be disappointed.

D. K.I've gone to dances here .. I've eaten here .. I've stayed here .. I can't say I have a genuine complaint, but if I had, I'd simply say that while the bedrooms are really great, the bar area is a bit dreary and dated.
The food I've eaten here has been great. And the drink I've had at the dances has been quite satisfactory.
I do enjoy the dancing here.
I've stayed here twice with my daughter and once with my partner at the time.
Overall .. I'd have no problem staying here again .. look ya can't please everybody !
T. A.I attend meetings at Racket Hall a couple of times a year. I usually try to arrive in time for a very good breakfast. The hotel provides a decent carvery at lunchtime. I believe that they run country music events here. Not being a country fan, I've not been tempted to go to one. It looks like a good place to hold a music or dancing weekend .

w. c.Unfortunately its very hit and miss here with food the reason I keep going back is for convenience and when the food is good its very good. The staff at times seem not to care. In the past I have been left waiting ages for a menu and got so sick of waiting I just left. Very pleasant decor sadly they have a tendency to close off sections of the bar dining area close to the fire. I have never stayed but I believe the rooms are nice.

w. m.Twenty eight members from our local Active Retirement Ireland group went for a four night break to the Racket Hall Hotel. They have been going on breaks twice a year since 2006 and they have reported that this was the best trip since we started.
It would take to long to relate all they said but they all of them commented on how comfortable the hotel was and that the stall were particularly helpful in every way.
Their special appreciation was reserved for their coach driver Johnny McDonnell who was with them for the four days and his advice on day trips was invaluable
As the organiser I found Nicole extremely helpful and efficient and every request was dealt with positively and promptly

s. f.Very helpful, room we were given very dark but was changed to another room and it wasn't a problem. Very pleasant staff, breakfast delicious. Not a modern hotel in appearance but we like that and facilities very good. Roscrea golf course nearby, lovly course and staff very helpful and the weather was fantastic. Perfect
M. M.We have been here several times now since its reincarnation and have to compliment the quality of the food.. Can't comment on the bar really but the premises are generally very clean. Keep up the good work there.. hearing passing visitors say the same says a lot too.

Downside needs warming up downstairs where breakfast is served no offence and some waiting staff are unfriendly chef won't make extra food even if supplies are running low at breakfast time or if it's a mere handful of guests for breakfast then waiting staff must cook the breakfast.
There are windows with black ground in mildew it's not pleasant to look at
I understand that the hotel is in the ownership of KPMG and that finances are so tight that staff are kept to an absolute minimum salary but freezing eating area come on change to a smaller room
Bedrooms even with lights on are relatively dark with a massive bed in the room
