A pleasant surprise for lunch! Great food (with kids menu), big bar with plenty of offerings, and nice service. Ambiance was quintessential Irish. We’ll be back!

Overall decent place. The food and beer was excellent.
Had a lot of minor problems with the room itself. The bathroom shower was really irritating to use and I burned myself several times while washing due to the design. The heavy doors and lots of stairs made having a suitcase annoying. The window outside was really poorly soundproofed so you could hear every person or car that passed by. Would have also been pretty nice if they had a mini fridge. Finally parking is a massive headache.
Would I recommend it? Sure. I do think the rooms desperately need some TLC though, the shower in particular.

Absolutely loved the food. The stew and the panini were outstanding. Highly recommended. Good staff and reasonable price.

Current COVID set up, they meet you at the door. Take COVID passport, ID, and contact details for follow up. Then you're let into the bar area.
Standard pub food, nice range of beers including several IPAs not commonly found. Staff are lovely. Warm and cosy decor with multiple screens for sports.
S. M.

Great outside dining space both in front of the pub & at the back. The meals were delicious. I have to say the Seafood Chowder was divine. ❤️ Great prices. Very friendly & helpful staff. An absolute to have dined there.

I ate in this place about two years ago with my two kids. In our opinion, this is best pub we have ever eaten in. We always compare food we get now to this.
I would strongly recommend a visit, absolutely superb
C. M.
Friendly staff, delicious food. Always a great atmosphere. Even in these strange times.

Excellent EXCEPT room heating not turned on, despite request, so motorbike clothes were still damp in the morning.
Good food and Netflix included

Went here every second afternoon while in Blarney on holiday. The locals were very friendly and people at next table spoke to us each time. Very friendly service, great food and good ambience.

Beautiful Sunday lunch and lovely helpful staff. Great price
E. H.
Fantastic food and lovely staff great price

This pub is very pretty. The interior is beautiful and very nicely decorated. The staff are welcoming and helpful. We also regularly come to ask you if everything is going well or if you want something. The dishes are very good. I had a seafood chowder, as well as delicious sausages with mashed potatoes and mashed green peas, served with onion fritters, accompanied by a delicious onion sauce. Everything is homemade, even the mashed potatoes. For a pub, that’s really great and very enjoyable. I recommend this restaurant where you eat very well, in a relaxed atmosphere.
G. H.
Staff and food were excellent. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

This is a lovely spot in Blarney . we visited here during the covid pandemic so had to sit outside . Table service was fast and friendly and well organised . pity indoors was out of bounds as it looked lovely .
A. Q.
Lovely food. Enjoy eating here
A. C.
I had dinner at this pub after an afternoon visit to the Blarney Castle. Every staff member was extremely welcoming and kind. I ate the best chicken wings of my life (they were so good I could dream about them) and the wonderfully relaxing atmosphere made every bite and sip of cider/beer taste even better (if possible). The entire evening was accompanied by Kieran O'leary, a local musician, who played his guitar and sang impromptu every song tourists and costumers asked for. He was extremely talented and entertaining, making what was already a great night... Simply perfect!
O. H.
Nice place for a pint of Guinness. Friendly staff.

I visited Blarney by myself because I was in Cork in business and had a couple days off. The bus from Cork to Blarney stops right in front of this place, so it was the path of least resistance for food, but fortunately, the food was outstanding. At least, the Guinness Beef Stew was. I toured the castle then came back and ate...and also drank. Then, fortified with extra courage and American arrogance, I walked across the street to the green where a game of hurling was in progress. I'd been fascinated by that smashed-in face waiting to happen of a game, and I asked the locals who were playing if I could join in. They kindly obliged, and while I can't say I made much of a contribution to my team's success, I also didn't walk away with a broken nose or missing teeth. We then repaired back to the Muskerry for drinks on me (well, on my corporate credit card), and I ended up missing the last bus back to Cork. Thankfully, my company also had an open tab with the local taxi company. All in all, a good time with good food and good drink. Next time, I think I'll just get a room at the adjoined B&B.

Lovely cosy little hotel & pub, nice food too ☺️
M. A.
We stopped for lunch after visiting Blarney Castle. Very glad we did. The food was better than good - we all had different items each was superior. Our waiter was welcoming, friendly and made s few lunch suggestions - all good. The prices were fair for the good food and large portion size. The location is ideal, in the middle of everything. Give this a try.
K. F.
Beautiful Pub. We had a lovely meal and a couple of pints here tonight. Covid19 precautions perfectly adhered to. Plenty of social distancing between tables, well versed staff made for a relaxing atmosphere. Plenty of sanitiser etc. Overall a great experience. 10/10
M. B.
We were in the restaurant upstairs so we had quite which was very nice. We had a special of stuffed chicken which was wonderful and fish and chips which was OK. The fish comes out a whole fillet and crumbles, the batter also is not that good but it was tasty. We also had the cheesecake and it was nice. They have a good selection of alcohol. All and all I would definitely return.
C. B.
Lovely staff very nice place to go.great food
C. T.
Delicious food and wonderful service. Perfect lunch stop!
K. H.
Great atmosphere, very friendly staff. Good food and drink. Well worth a visit
G. S.
Very nice pub. Great atmosphere. Premier league live broadcast and live music.
We slept at the b&b for two nights and we enjoyed it, though it's could be noisy at night, specially on weekends (after a long day of tourism and a couple of Guinness, who cares)
If you can, ask for rooms on the third floor. It's a lot less noisy there.
k. s.
Incredible bar and Resturant. It’s almost feel like you are in a museum. They have a great decorations and collections of drink. The bar is amazing very beautiful
We had dinner here too. The meal was hot and fresh. Only thing was the stir fry had too much oyster sauce. Overall it’s a great bar to check it.
We love it. 👍👍👍🇮🇪
C. T.
This pub is absolutely incredible. My wife and I are here on our honeymoon; the owner came up to us, bought us a shot for celebration, then we had an amazing conversation about his history and our own histories. We have been here a few times, and it always had a very at-home feel, if you have the time definitely come to this beautiful pub!
E. W.
Fantastic food with a friendly service!!!
R. F.
Fabulous place with great facilities and staff
Can't wait to visit again
L. J. M.
The food was decent and we ended up visiting twice. The first night, I ordered a starter and was thankful that I did, for the portion was the perfect amount. My husband ordered the fish and chips, and was dissatisfied -- when he attempted to move the fish off of the chips, the fish essentially disintegrated by sliding right out of the fried batter and onto the table, as well as falling to pieces. He ended up scrapping the fried batter and eating some of the chips. The next night was ordered the beef filet (lacked much flavor, but was still pretty good) and the beef stew (lacked much flavor, but was much better than the previous night's fish and chips debacle.) That said, the service was amazing and we'd go again if we were still in Blarney.
A. T.
Covid being managed very well! Felt safe! Plenty of room between diners and staff are very competent! Was refused one night because they were full and needed to implement social distancing. Was disappointed but to give them credit they are behaving very professionally!!
L. S. C.
This was an absolute gem of a find for my last evening in Ireland. Visited the castle in the daytime, absolute must see and came home to this gorgeous cosy inn, about a five minute walk. The food was lovely, breakfast portions are massive, the room was spacious, sparkling clean and ever so comfortable. But above all else the highlight for me was the generous, helpful and infinitely kind staff. Thanks for being so welcoming and brilliant! Can’t recommend highly and would definitely stay here again.
All the best,
Lily

All staff were very friendly and the place has a good atmosphere. Our room was a decent size and had everything we needed. The food is lovely... not a huge amount of options for main meals, but what they do, they do EXTREMELY well. Thoroughly recommended!
F. W.
The room was decent in size, there was good wardrobes to hang things up in. But, the mattress was pretty firm. The window didn't seem to fully close and the tv reception was in and out. The bathroom needs an update, although the water pressure was amazing! It is very close to the castle and grounds and a great chippy and shops and the bus into Cork, so great location. The bar downstairs seems very popular!
R. K.
Had an amazing day here in the beautiful sunshine, friendly staff couldn't do enough for you, excellent food and cold refreshing drinks to top it off.
In these strange times, it was nice to feel a bit normal in a safe environment.
G. C.
Really lovely staff and nice food. During tough times it's easier for hospitality staff to be short-fused. But these people are honestly so nice and welcoming
p.
Great tasting food with a friendly and pleasant staff. Very helpful with suggestions to the menu and local life. The atmosphere is pleasant and offer live music around 8 or 9 PM. Made us feel very welcome and the prices for the food was well worth it. Special for €20 drink meal and dessert. Now this isn't a promise but if you take a look at the picture it beats a leaf in a cappuccino any day!
B. B.
I had the stew and my wife the code and chips. Food was all well cooked and flavorful. The beef in my stew was spoon-cuttable and very savory. The code was battered nicely, and had a great crunch to it. Staff was friendly and responsive. All in all a great little place.
M. N.
Great place. Very friendly
Will definitely return
F. T.
Excellent spot for a drink or bite to eat, wonderful friendly staff. Food is outstanding. Great place for a bit of live music and great for just meeting the friends for a chat. Very clean, comfortable and spacious. Lovely guest rooms with everything you need. Highly recommend you visit here when in Blarney.
M. L.
Lovely people, great food and live music. Room was clean and service was excellent. If you want to drink and not drive this is where you want to stay. Now, if you are expecting a quiet place to rest look elsewhere; the rooms are located right above the bar and it gets VERY noisy. This was not a problem for me or my family. We where so tired, we slept like babies.
Breakfast was delicious the next morning, had the large Irish breakfast. It was probably one of the best breakfasts I've ever had.
O. H.
Went for an early dinner after visiting the Blarney Castle and Woolen Mills. Lovely spot! The promotion going on was brilliant. We received the meal, drink, dessert and coffee/tea for €20! One of the owners even sat down with us for a bit to chat and see if we were properly satisfied with the experience. I'm from the states and I will definitely be telling people about this place ☺️
W. B.
Excellent service and beautiful food 👌
L. P.
Beautiful old style pub with amazing decor. Food is traditional, simple and tasty. Service is fast. Beer is local. Groups can find a spot easily. It can be packed while there are sport matches.
H. S.
Good food, superb staff and top class accommodation.
P. W.
Fantastic meal tonight. 4 clean plates after dining. Good service even though staff were v busy
R. G.
We didn't stay in the Muskerry Arms but did stop in for dinner on a recommendation from our B&B. The service was good and the food was excellent. Recommend the Irish Chowder! Also, they had the best Guinness I had the entire time in Ireland.
T.
Good space at the back of the premises. Nice pint served
J. B.
My wife and I just stayed at the Muskerry Arms for 5 nights and I have to say that it is a top quality pub/hotel in a perfect location facing the village green in Blarney.. The pub has great live music most nights, the staff are extremely friendly, a good selection of dishes are on the menu - all well prepared and a good selection of beers at the bar. The rooms are fine with good facilities. Hard to fault and reasonably priced too. Highly recommended.
R. M.
Hearty food. I had the Munster burger. Very decent meal. Lovely hand-cut thick chips with a proper side salad with lettuce, cherry tomatoe and a little sweetcorn. The burger comes with bacon, red onions and relish. The staff accommodated my dairy-free requirement, which I appreciated. It was all very nice. My partner had lasagne which came with garlic bread, a side of chips and a side salad. Also very well received.
In addition, the atmosphere of the pub/restaurant is lovely, with a warm cosy feel to the place. We both enjoyed our meals a lot and would not hesitate to return in the future. 5 stars.
a. n.
Service went above and beyond expectations, truly life savers in our situation. Room was spotless and perfectly decorated. Food was delicious, and the bar atmosphere was fun, happy, and inviting. Will definitely be returning.
A. M.
Compliant with covid rules. Good service and spotlessly clean.
T. L.
Perfect place to pop in before or after visiting Blarney's Castle. Staff was very friendly, and the service was quite quick for the Irish standards. Good selection between "posh" foods (steak, seafood, etc), and pub styled food. Prices are reasonable, especially being so close to the castle. Handicapped accessible, and suitable for children. It was one of the better meals I had on holiday.
D. N.
Absolutely great spot. A real traditional Irish bar and great food also☺️
D.
I had dinner here. Always a few people in the place which is a good sign. I got the special, turkey and ham with mash and veg. Very nice food and good sized portion. They didn't offer tap water so it came to €16.50 as I ordered bottled water.
N. A.
Good food and very clean. I love it and there's live band every weekend and bingo every Wednesday 9:30-11:30. An excellent bar for family night out and friends
m. o.
I'm a regular patron of this fruendly and pleasant pub. The food is consistently tasty and well served and the portions are very generous. Great value with table service by well trained and friendly staff. Great place to visit!
J. P.
We were recommended this place by our airbnb host. We ordered the daily special (stuffed pork loin and supreme chicken) and it was delicious! No wait, food came at a reasonable time and portions were good. The Guinness made everything taste even better ;)
P. M.
Friendly staff, great food, great value!
J. M.
This B and B was so awesome! Very friendly staff made you feel like a family member. The restaurant and pub have excellent food choices and great selection of beers as well. Gary O’Connor will go out of his way to make you feel as though you are not only a guest... but a distant relative!! And outside your window is a great woolen milk and Blarney castle is just minutes too. In addition, it matters not if it is raining or sunshine..... this oasis outside of Cork is purely enjoyable in all weather conditions.
d. T.
Great decor. Can't beat Guinness on tap and a good seafood chowder. Fabulously located just outside the Blarney Castle. P.S. They have lots more to drink and a robust menu.
F. P.
Only reason this place isn't a 5 star is the bathroom was tiny and a weird smell was on the 3rd floor. Other than that, It was clean and fine. Food was simple but very good. Rooms were small but adorable and laid out well. Parking and wifi are free. Checking in at the bar was new novelty for me. All the staff was helpful and friendly. I recommend staying here.
M. S. (. R.
Beautiful place with atmospheric walls inside regarding to the Castle, amazing delicious food (big portions!) at the dinner menu, but if only coffee quality would be better then I would give 5*.
D. C.
Lovely food, great service.
K. M.
(March 2017) We popped in the night before our wedding and the restaurant had not yet opened yet for the evening, but the owner was in there chatting with some friends. He let us stay and have some drinks and then once the cook arrived they made us a fantastic meal. He found out we were getting married and offered us free dessert and a shot of Baileys. Such a wonderful host and owner. Thank you!
E. D.
Fab pub would highly recommend. Staff are lovely.
M. D.
The O Connors are THE most gracious hosts I have ever met. Jerome and Garry are a credit to their late mother. The best food and fun in the world. Thanks again for a wonderful function today. Special thanks also Tony and the girls in the kitchen, Stan and Hillary in the bar and Jackie who organized everything. From he Yanks brother-in-law - I know he was very happy with us all.
C. M.
Great bar and food
C. P.
Within walking distance of the Blarney woolen mills, Blarney castle, and a fun group of local establishments this little BnB makes for an ideal destination. If you can survive the country drive you will be rewarded with all the pubs and cafes you can shake a pint glass at. Quality restaurant upstairs and a rowdy pub downstairs will leave everyone satisfied. Reasonable pricing leaves you with plenty of cash to enjoy the local nightlife!
L. M.
In January 2016 I visited my sister who was studying abroad in Cork. During a day trip to the Blarney Castle we stopped here for dinner. This was one of the best restaurants I have been to in the world. The food was delicious, the decor was classic, the staff was friendly, and the presentation was exquisite. I would highly recommend this pub to everyone.
J. O. S.
Beautiful food 👌and very friendly staff. 5 stars
A. A.
We very much enjoyed our one night at this B&B. We ate dinner in the bar on the ground floor and their stuffed chicken is fabulous. We walked over to the Blarney Castle Hotel for drinks and live music and it was a lot of fun. This area is gorgeous and my favorite part of our week long Ireland vacation. Highly recommend.
j. p.
Perfect for a quick walk to Blarney castle of a short bus ride into the city. We also used this as home base to go to Kinsale and Cohb for day trips with our rental car.
The rooms as small but cozy and well equipped. The bar downstairs is nice and they have a full restaurant as well for breakfast and dinner on site.
The only downside was accessing the rooms at night through the busy bar. Aside from that it was a great stay.
Also, the Irish Woolin Mill is right across the street as well for great shopping.
I. V.
Great food, fast and very efficient service, and they were very busy too, impressed. Fish and Chips, was excellent too. Helpful and friendly staff. House wine quality, needs attention, but otherwise, really good.
K. H.
Clean, comfortable, great breakfast, and great staff. We arrived in the middle of a soccer match, so the pub was so packed that people were pouring out into the streets. My mom bravely went in and got our room keys. The rooms were clean and cozy!
They had live entertainment that night which caused many in our group to have a late and fun filled night.
The breakfast was delicious.
We were very pleased when we found out that Blarney Castle was just a walk away. Will definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in the area!
A. S.
Great food and service!
S. F.
The best pub in town!!! Came here with my wife & kid from Florida USA. We ordered the Chicken wings and they are the most delicious wings we've ever eaten in our lives. The Seafood Chowder was excellent as well and our kid had the Chicken Goujons. We loved everything and if you're in town, it is a must to stop here and get a bite to eat. What makes it even better is the owner, checking on you to ensure you are enjoying your meal!! We will definitely be back here whenever in Blarney, Cork.
V. C.
Eating at Muskerry Arms was an amazing Ireland experience. If you plan to visit the Blarney Castle, plan to eat here during your visit. There is a bar and restaurant and it was very busy when we went, but we still received excellent service. The food was INCREDIBLE. The beer was incredible as well and very well priced. I would highly recommend Muskerry Arms as a part of your Ireland experience.
P. H.
Great food great pub

K. B.
The food was the best I had through my travels of Ireland. The owner was very nice and helpful. He advised us to listen to the music upstairs and I was very glad I did. This is a must to return to upon my next travel to Ireland.
M. O. M.
Lovely food. Prompt service. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Would go there again maybe for a few drinks next time.
S. M.
Truly worth every penny - the room is beautiful and the pub is great. Our host is gracious and we are right at home. The location is awesome, too...right on the green near the foot of Blarney Castle.
S. L.
Blarney is a beautiful little town. We popped into Muskerry Arms for supper at 9pm but their kitchen was already closed so they referred us across the road to a Chinese restaurant to which they have an agreement where you can still order drinks from them. The Muskerry arms is a warm hospitable and traditional pub sadly we were only there for 1 night otherwise would have gone back.
N. B.
Warm and charming B&B above a wonderfully quaint pub, with a nice restaurant on the second floor. The staff are fantastic and extremely friendly. The rooms are nice and quite large for a B&B and our had a private bath, which was nice. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the linens were soft. We had dinner at the restaurant, the food was well prepared and the staff was prompt and helpful. After dinner we went to the pub and even though it felt like somewhere the local residents would go, they made sure to make us feel at home. The bartender was friendly and knowledgable about the area and things to do and places to visit. They had a decent draught beer selection and a large whiskey menu, needless to say we enjoyed out night at the bar. They also have breakfast in the morning and I would recommend their full Irish breakfast, as it was one of the best I had during my two week stay in Ireland. We will be staying here when we come back through this part of Ireland, because we had such a nice time at the Muskberry Arms B&B.
M. E.
Myself and family went to Nells Restaurant to celebrate the start of my daughter's 12 birthday with a breakfast. I can't rate the food or service high enough. The restaurant itself is very classy and a cosy place to sit and eat. 10/10 :)
A. B.
Big place, lots of seating but still intimate. Staff was professional and friendly. The food was a tasty twist on traditional Irish food.
L. T.
Excellent food and friendly caring staff.
Service was fast and the food was tasty.
C. L.
Great food, spotlessly clean, comfortable bar & restaurant. There’s always a warm welcome - I highly recommend.
A. M.
Awesome food, awesome smiles, awesome prices, awesome beers!!!!😊
D. S.
We stopped in here on our way to Blarney castle and the famous stone. Plenty of friendly staff at the bar and good food and beer on tap. We also enjoyed the flair on the walls and the history documented in the photos!
d. s.
Great environment. Very friendly staff. Went for an Irish breakfast and it didn't disappointed at all. Would highly recommend.
A. F.
Absolutely one of my favorite memories in Ireland. Everyone was so friendly. Gary was such an incredible person. He knew my friends and I were going to walk back to our B&B and kindly drove us home. Such an incredibly kind man.
I. O.
Great food. Amazing selection of whiskeys. Comfortable. Attentive, friendly staff, and management ensure that clientele are well looked after. Newly refurbished restaurant is really cosy, and the promo deal is a no-brainer.
M. T.
Went here after early morning charity walk, so it was a strange opening hours for them & I don't think the were fully staffed. Also made it hard to judge what their standard service would be. Fair play to them for opening so early & supporting an important community event. Will definitely try here again some time.
M. G.
Great meal. Had the beef stew and gourmet sausages. Try the black pudding on top of Caesar Salad. It’s to die for. Seafood chowder is very good too.
B. B.
Wow, what a place. We read reviews, and had a great lunch. The soup is to die for, and hamburgers are way to big for one person. Also, it looked like the bar in the middle of the day was busy.
D. k.
Great food and went out of their way to accommodate a wheelchair user...its his favourite spot now for lunch👍👍☺️
S. G.
Meal was lovely, however we were overcharged for 2 meals. It wasn't until I checked the menu board outside that I could confirm this. We didn't have time to go back in, otherwise we woumd have missed our tour bus
T. O.
Great food as alway!
K. B.
Very good food, good and pleasant staff. Be nicer if teapot was full at end of meal, nothing better than a hot drop.
J. A.
Great locals place. Went during the off season and got to experience the place with the locals. Great food, great beer, and great service. Visited with my wife and 14 month old, and they even had a high chair for our son. Definitely a good place to eat and drink while visiting Blarney.
I. E.
The bed sheets were clean, it was a good sleeping, the wifi signal is strong, works well, the bar downstairs is nice and there is a big restaurant as well.
Although the bathroom was clean, it was to old, should redesigned, black umidity spots on the bathrooms ceiling. There is no normal curtains in the room, and you cannot really prevent the light to come in, also you really cannot close the windows completely, which brings to a lot of noise during the night cause the hotel seats on the main street
S. C.
Lovely meal and good service. Live music whilst we ate which was nice but it was a little aloud at times. Reasonable pricing for the food we had.
J. D.
Great atmosphere! Live music was great. Room was comfortable. Very close to Blarney Castle (walking distance). Nell's was delicious for breakfast and dinner.
E. L.
Nice pub and bar food restaurant. The boy said it was his favorite place to eat and so we ate there several times whilst in Blarney. Staff were nice and food was too. Prices were fair from what I can recall.
J. S.
Best beef stew I’ve ever had.. My wife says the apple pie was the best she’s ever had.. That’s two great reasons to visit, plus the service was great too!
R. C.
Great atmosphere, very caring and personable staff and owners. Food and beverage we're great. Gary and the staff do a superb job of making sure you feel comfortable.
B. V.
Went in for a quick bite. We had a burger and fish and chips. Pretty quick service and nice staff. Food was good, not great but I would go back.
M. P.
The food was great, but the service was slow and disorganized. It took a while to get a waiter everytime we needed something and our table was forgotten about several times due to busyness.
P. C.
Very welcoming atmosphere, good selection of beers and whiskies, amazing food, especially the burger!! Will be back often!
M. D.
Great food, great atmosphere, and certainly the best beer and live entertainment! Local fresh food and a assortment of other tasty dishes. You can't go wrong!
J. C. H.
Fantastic atmosphere, great staff and brilliant food. Highly recommended.
K. “. C.
Came for lunch, portions were great, we decided to split two dishes & Rachel even had them in separate bowls for us. Very good burger & seafood soup
G. B.
Good beer and great service
J. K.
I can only rate the pub as we have not stayed in the guest house. The pub is superb in fact one of the best I've visited in Ireland - good beer, excellent food and a lively atmosphere - everything you imagine when you say Irish pub.
L. F.
Great place! Excelent and very attentive service. Good food, and cozy atmosphere. 🙂
K. C.
Stopped by for breakfast may 16.
Amazing service.

Our best pub experience in Ireland: great atmosphere, fantastic food and the best live music in Irish tradition you can find. If you ask me, the main attraction of Blarney is not to kiss the Blarney stone but to spend an evening at Muskerry Arms.
