E. C.Good place to get dinner in the heart of the town. Currently there is only outdoor seating available but indoor seating will be available in the future. Prices are quite expensive for what you get. Just the main course alone cost €24.85. I would presume you are paying for the view of the cascade but service is a bit slow. However the food is very flavourful.

Considering it been the first weekend after the lockdown measures the place was exceptional and all cleaning measures in place. It was my first meal out in 18 weeks and it did not disappoint!

Ok, the vegetarian option could have been more substantial but at only 8 euro I can't complain. Question: why do some restaurants presume all vegetarians/ vegans survive on two salad leaves and water?
U. M. S.Great location but every time I've eaten here the food has been woeful. It is rare that I would not eat something, but it has happened here more than once. There's a fantastic balcony and it really is a terrific place to sit out with a drink in summer. The staff are fairly cold and don't pay any attention when there's an issue with food, they must be used to it.

J.Absolutely fantastic food and wonderful service!!! I ordered the asparagus and feta cheese flat bread and loved every bite! (i rarely try new foods and combinations and was more than pleasanty surprised!) our high spirited toddler loved her pasta and was even invited to visit the kitchen to be entertained briefly so mom and dad could savor a few bites in peace. Best spot to eat since we have been in Ireland!!!

D.We found Byrnes Restaurant in Ennistymon by chance ... while staying in nearby Lahinch, we could not locate parking for any of the restaurants that had been recommended to us - and to be truthful, the street they were on was a bit too rowdy for us as we were exhausted after sight-seeing and traveling all day and wanted a quiet dinner. We decided to stop at Byrnes and try it out - and we were so glad we did! The atmosphere was so inviting and charming, and the waitstaff greeted us immediately. We had a wonderful, relaxing meal - the seafood chowder was exquisite, the fish & chips were excellent, and the tenderloin with mashed potatoes was absolutely delicious. We thought we had hit the jackpot by this point, only to be impressed once again when our server brought our dessert ... literally, the best chocolate mousse we have ever had. This was for sure, our top dining experience during our two week vacation, which spanned not only Ireland, but England, Scotland and Wales as well. A phenomenal experience! Highly recommend Byrnes, and we will revisit for sure when we come back. :-)
R. B.Helpful but discrete staff. A nice choice available of traditional indoor restaurant, sunroom areas, or large outdoor deck area overlooking the Ennistymon Cascades. There is a wonderful view of the 1790's Old Town bridge, right 'round to the tidal stretch of the Cullinagh River. Almost forgot to mention.....the food is very good.

A.(Translated) Establishment with strange decoration since the facade is extremely colorful, the entrance is quite chic, with some stools and a nice bar, then the intermediate room, absolutely not lit, and the third room which gives on a beautiful terrace with a view on the famous waterfalls of Ennistimon. But this room has filthy chairs and plastic tablecloths that compete with them.
The menu of the restaurant is also rather mismatched because there is a traditional Persian entrance, the Ghormeh sabzi. I could not resist the discovery of this quirky dish in the heart of Ireland! Entertaining but slightly too seasoned with Greek fenu which gives a bitter tip a little unpleasant. But overall good.
The seafood chowder is a kind of seafood soup. Well, here it is, it's nice.
Serrano ham mullet is interesting. Too bad it is placed on a nice mass of mash very compact and embellished with two good big half toasted shallots. It puts you there.
The plate of the sea is good but deserves better than the banal cocktail sauce. The crab claws are cooked in a very powerful broth.
As for the famous waterfalls, we were unlucky because we came after 15 days without rain in the region! Yes, it is possible in Ireland. So they were dry. This gives a rarer image ...

Etablissement à la décoration étrange puisque la façade est extrêmement colorée, l'entrée est assez chic, avec quelques tabourets et un beau bar, puis la salle intermédiaire, absolument pas éclairée, et la troisième salle qui donne sur une belle terrasse avec vue sur les fameuses chutes d'eau d'Ennistimon. Mais cette salle est dotée de chaises immondes et de nappes en plastique qui leur font concurrence.
La carte du restaurant est aussi assez dépareillée puisqu'on y trouve une entrée traditionnelle perse, le Ghormeh sabzi. Je ne pouvais résister à la découverte de ce plat décalé en pleine Irlande ! Divertissant mais légèrement trop assaisonnée de fenu grec ce qui donne une pointe amère un peu désagréable. Mais globalement bon.
Le seafood chowder est une sorte de soupe maritime. Bon, ben voilà, c'est sympa.
Le mulet au jambon Serrano est intéressant. Dommage qu'il soit déposé sur une belle masse de purée bien compacte et agrémenté de deux bonnes grosses demies échalotes grillées. Ca vous pose là.
L'assiette de la mer est bien mais mériterait mieux que la banale sauce cocktail. Les pinces de crabe sont cuites dans un bouillon très puissant.
Pour ce qui est des fameuses chutes d'eau, nous n'avons pas eu de chance car nous sommes venus après 15 jours sans pluie dans la région ! Eh oui, c'est possible en Irlande. Donc elles étaient à sec. Cela donne une image plus rare...
