The craftsmanship is literally to die for, the packaging was cute and it came with a little sheet that contained history on both the store and the rings along with other merchandise. An absolutely wonderful and historic Jewellers Shop. This is the only true place to buy an Irish Claddagh ring but they sell other jewellery as well and I needed a new chain for a locket. Jonathan and his wife could not have been more helpful they know everything about the history of Galway and could even tell my husband where his ancestors shop used to be over a century ago. They have a lovely Claddagh Ring museum at the back of the shop which is free to visit and a little treasure of the city overlooked by many. Just pop in if you are passing, they make everyone feel welcome.

They folks here are so easygoing and welcoming. There is a lovely small museum of historical Claddagh rings -- These folks are truly the inheritors of the authentic and original ring makers. My wife and I gifted each other two gold rings, and the master jeweler re-sized my ring, cutting and adding gold to for my finger. The shop experience was grand, can and they will do other custom work if you ask. Why go elsewhere?

A few years ago I bought my silver claddagh ring from the T D Claddagh shop, as I wanted an 'original'. Recently by freak accident it got caught in a shopping trolley and snapped. I posted it to the store to see if they could fix it. The team couldn't have been more helpful, they repaired and posted my ring back to me in a short turnaround time, no questions asked. Wow, what a treasure! For beautiful quality Claddagh rings, this is THE place to be! The staff are welcoming, kind and really know their craft. The master jeweller works right in front of you as you gaze at the rings. They have options in yellow, rose and white gold, with high carat. Also silver jewellery available. My husband and I got our wedding rings from here, they are the most wonderful and accommodating people, they resized our rings for us time and time again. We stopped in and bought them then, as our trip went on, we would notice the rings sliding about too much and would go back and have them resize. Then walk out and repeat, until we both felt like it was perfect. Any time we stopped by they had their jeweller there within 30-45 minutes, just enough time to grab a drink and head back.
