Reviews of Central Library
There are no seats to use while studying,, just borrow and go home,
Wide range of books though. Nice library
A well organised one. Have lots of wonderful books. For all ages and covers hundreds of sectors. A highly recommended library in dublin city centre
The staff are helpful and friendly
Excellent facility, very helpful staff.
I have a library card from the Central Library in Ilac Shopping Centre and I must say I am a fan of the amenities of this unit, plus the nice staff and great material.
Its a very nice place to study (but gets crowded, specially being inside the mall), they have electrical sockets to charge your computer and cellphone, you can study other languages (for free), free wifi, daily newspapers, self service barrow or return the borrowed items, you can borrow DVDS, comics, mangas, you have a free PC use for 50 mins and even a keyboard to study music.
This library made my life in Dublin much easier and pleasant overall, specially leaving all my personal stuff behind in other country.
Ps: The site from Dublin city public libraries is awesome and have a lot of information and content too.
Not everyone has a access to Internet or even a device for accessing to Internet, or access to the right book,
...so ; this library is like a temple for lecture.
Here is one sincere
donor of appreciation and a big Thank you😊
I rate it as the best place in Dublin to work and study in a relatively quiet environment. Every disturbance is handled in no time. You have a great choice of books, comics, DVD and music.
This library has a good book collection and music disks. It’s a good place to study but need more desks and electrical sockets for can need charge your computer or mobile.
It's really small and tiny, but what a great place to study and receive some help. The staff is reaaaaally friendly and willingful to help. There's a great facilitie for those who want to study other languages and a lot of free programs to help the community.
Located at the mall. I got my library card here. It is harder to get a library card in the US than a gun. It is easier to get a gun in the US than a library card. I read a horrible book about gypsy losers who reproduce early and spend all their time dressing up. They live in trailers and try to steal from the government and tax payers. I tried to learn some foreign languages. Alot of people were trying to learn foreign languages that you had to make an advanced reservation to reserve a spot. The language program was not in anyway authentic to the language I was trying to learn. At least this library is at the mall
Great selection of books music etc love going there
Usually crowded but for a good reason, the library is full of resources and facilities being offered free of charge for the public. They also do organize informational events.
One of my favourite places in Dublin, this is my option when I have some time to kill in the city centre. Great catalog, friendly staff, and they can even bring books from other branches if you need.
The ilac library is peaceful and quite for reading and listening to music with your earphone so that you will not happy.
Good place to study and work, with free WiFi and plugs to charge laptops or phones.
Nice place to study (although a bit crowded). Free use of the computer (internet). Also simple and cheap service for printing and scanning documents.
Not enough plugs for charging the computer, only a few desks have this facility. If you need to work with the computer you have to wait a long time to use it, but plenty of books.
Excelent place to study!
Free wifi and silently ambient.
I used to visit this place 3 or 4 times a week to study english
Nice place to study, very quiet. Need more space and plugs for computers and cellphones.
Great place to get a good book. (The staff are lovely, knowledgeable and friendly)
The wifi works but this is absolutely no place to study. Mobile phones going off, kids running around and people chatting away..
Unlike the intreo center over at parnell street this place will print your digital documents. This can be achieved by emailing your digital documents to a special email address.
It is INCREDIBLY NOISY(especially in the children's section) but other than that it's pretty adequate.
Free open wifi, all the daily newspapers, great study space. And it's all free!
Excelent services: Internet connection, books, learning center, helpful crew helping and kind
I wish there were a branch closer to me, but I'm always happy to visit this branch to pick up my holds.
A perfect place to come and study in peace and quiet
Great public facility with very helpful staff.
Very friendly and easily accessible
Great place to study.
Used to work there :)
I love this library...
Love this library
It's a very convenient library, located on the second floor of a shopping mall. It occupies a small area but has a decent collection of books. The disadvantage is that the space for self-study and study is quite crowded. I recommend it to those who don't mind it, otherwise it will be quite uncomfortable.
It's a very good place to study, read a book and you can also watch films. It's cool to register to be able to borrow some books. There are preferential chairs for the elderly and a children's area.
Ps: it has wifi
It is a place where you can sit and read for free, but it is located in the city center. After leaving at 6 o'clock in the evening, you may encounter many drunk people, so please pay attention to your own safety.
great
They don"t really have a wide variety on classics, but the place itself is nice.
