Wonderful Cinema, in a nice layout design, lots of screens, very comfortable, & so clean. Lots of space , & bathrooms are so spacious, & kept so clean. They pay great attention to covid hygiene rules. Really enjoyed the reclining seats, so comfortable. Staff friendly & helpful. Tickets can be bought on line, & seats chosen as well. Refreshments can be booked in advance as well. A great experience, well worth a visit, if you are in Salthill.👌

Went here for the first time and watched my preferred movie in a comfortable reclined seat. Ample space between rows. Staff friendly and helpful. My only gripe was there was popcorn all over my seat when I arrived and I was at the first showing of the day. Would recommend this cinema to others.

Part 2 of my review for the night. Please refer to Samyo Google review for part 1. Went for the cinema after dinner. My friend booked our tickets online but the cinema was not that packed anyway eventhough it was the weekend. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable. The seats were also very spacious and can be recline. Very comfortable seats I must say but would have been 5 star if the hallroom wasn't too warm. Overall pretty nice experience. Oh and there was one minor glitch at the end of the post credit scene of the movie where suddenly the audio was muted. And it was Marvel movie at that! So you know how important and crucial Marvel's post credit scene is. So that was letdown. But I am sure is just a minor glitch in the system because I think our movie was the last to finish that night so my impression was the system might have thought we were done. And I think they allow refunds/new tickets for whoever claimed that night. Oh and the wife said the bathroom was clean and tidy. Sorry for the long review/rant but would highly recommend for whoever wants a movie night out. And please omniplex, adjust your heating system.

Lots of space and nice and clean with great seats but the price of for example a bag of sweets is 4.20 , they are 3.90 in other cinemas in Galway which is already almost double the price of a local shop at 2 euro. Once again as a parent to 3 kids I cannot help but feel ripped off every time I try to do family stuff with them. I would go back but I wouldn't buy anything there its just too expensive for a family.

Booked online for tickets and treats, made the admission process a breeze, tip: snapshot your qr ticket code as mine would not load up on the day (staff were very helpful). As cinema is below street level, load tickets in phone beforehand as reception will drop out very quickly below foyer. Due to covid countermeasures, screen was constantly cold with fresh air pumped in, so have warm clothing to hand, otherwise top notch experience.

Went to see Free Guy with the wife and 2 kids while down on holidays. Real old school cinema Fancy place and absolutely spotless. Pros: Cinema is really nice and staff very friendly. Reclining seats and a choice of seating area when booking online. You can book online or at the cinema. There is parking adjacent the cinema on the promanad. They have a decent selection of drinks and popcorn. Cons: No hot foods available. Smell of dampness / mould between screen 2 and 5. Toilets are at the other end of the building and not maintained well by staff throughout the day.

Lobby styled in a more classic cinema look. The cinema screens themselves are very generous and spacious, with very comfortable recliner chairs. Also front row is far enough away from the screen to actually watch a movie.

I was at a showing of Dune. The screen, sound and seats were perfect. There is no phone signal which is a bonus. However about 8 teenage girls who were seated at the front decided to exit and re-enter multiple times as well as swap seats. Super annoying. Multiple people requested and got refunds. The manager was not happy but complied. Kudos to the cinema however they could have stepped in earlier as they must have noticed these kids coming and going. Its rare to have a film disrupted this much. I will go again.

It still smells damp from the flood a few years back. The self ticketing machines do not give you enough time to select your seats and instead of asking you if you want more time go back to the start. Infuriating. The only plus are reclining seats which are my favourite.

This was our first visit and we were so impressed by the fabulous decor We were greeted by a girl who explained where to collect tickets food etc There was a highly efficient ordering system to avoid close control And the auditorium was spotless with ample seat social distancing. First time back at the cinema since the pandemic began and I loved it. I felt very safe and protected (and I'm vaccinated), great sanitising protocol in place, e-tickets and ordering on the machine if you want food, then collect at desk. The seats are recliners, such a treat... and seats directly beside, vehind and in front of us were locked so no one seated here... fantastic social distancing. Well done to all involved, we thoroughly enjoyed our night...a little bit of normality in a still crazy world.

As a cinema, its amazing, I was very impressed with the layout, the aesthetics and the sound equipment. As others have mentioned, it gets very cold and there is also a strange smell but being beside the sea is probably the cause. The main reason for knocking off a star is that the toilets are so far away from some of the screens. They're so far away you'll miss a lot of your movie just getting there.

Was here to watch TENET. As a theatre experience it was wonderful. Nice & comfortable seats. Sound and picture quality immaculate. Wish there was OmniplexX or IMAX equivalent. Safety wise all protocols are followed. Sears cleaned before and after each show. Maybe just 20-30% of the theatre capacity is filled. Once you book your seats, surrounding seats are automatically blocked so that social distancing is maintained. Will visit for the next movie for sure.

Lovely cinema, love the recliners. A few things that make it less enjoyable- The smell!!! It’s so damp and dreary and on the very long decent to the bathroom the smell gets worse. Also I accidentally booked the wrong seats online and had booked the front row instead of the back. No option to move. The front seats are far too close to the screen and we had to creak our heads back for the whole movie. Saying that , It’s got so much potential as a brilliant experience.

Lovely cinema and very compliant with covid guidelines

The place is wonderful, clean & warm. You walk down into a nice, large lobby and are met with very kind people at the registers. But, here's the gem; Reclining seats with an ungodly amazing amount of leg room. Never again will you get shoved into some shoddy cushioned seat that has numerous stains on it while some child kicks the back of your chair. This will be my go-to place as long as it remains.

It was an amazing experience... for what's offered it's worth the extra euro or two than a regular cinema! The inside is beautiful and it's not too hot or cold. The manager was so helpful and the screen was amazing. The seats were so comfy and well-spaced. The bathroom was so beautiful and the design is so stunning. Really nice cinema and the price isn't unreasonable for what you're getting. Their recliner seats and so comfortable and the screens aren't as tightly paced as other cinemas. When I price compared with other cinemas there was €3 difference in the price of a ticket and when you're comparing the level of comfort you're getting it's well worth it for the extra little bit of money

An extremely nice cinema with excellent comfy recliner chairs. The staff were helpful and friendly. They had the latest movies with various time options. One thing of note, if you decide to see a 3D movie, you will need to bring your own glasses or purchase some reusable ones. I know that other cinemas have their own glasses which you return.

The chairs!! They electronically recline into like a bed!! They're so comfy. Place is beautifully decorated. Screens are huge, place is clean. Popcorn was so good, LOVE the coke and Fanta slurpees (though the coke machine is rarely working). Pricey for sure but really worth it for a cinema experience and I know they're going to be expanding and adding even more amenities.

What a great cinema..total relaxation in the leather seats. Not sure how many seats in screen one maybe about 100 but feels like you're in your own sitting room and the screen is massive and the sound is brilliant so well worth €14 and the staff are well trained. I enjoyed Hobbs and Shaw.

Booked good seats online only to find that others had sat in them when we got there. The usher who was showing us to our seats said he didn't want to move them. What's the point in having the option to choose seats if the reservation isn't upheld?

Unfortunately there is just one counter for food and tickets so if you have purchased tickets on-line and want to buy some food/drink you need to queue. When I was there recently the queue was to long. It would be great to have separate counter past the ticket check where food or drinks can be purchased.

The Omniplex Salthill is a wonderful cinema, it had 1920's decor, the seats are leather and have buttons on the right hand side of the seat which you can press for a foot rest to come up and the seat to recline. The rows of seats have a lot of room between them meaning lots of room to walk by and you don't have to squeeze your legs up when someone walks past! The staff are friendly and helpful and their stylish uniforms are very professional. The popcorn and refreshments are very nice but my only complaint would be they (and the tickets) are a bit pricey. A student and child ticket is €9 and an adult €14. The regular combo, which consists of a regular sized drink and popcorn is €8.50. In my opinion this is a bit expensive but overall the cinema is lovely and a delight to go to.

Nice cinema, lovely comfortable reclining seats. Kids sink in the toilet was a lovely touch. Went there sat 7th December in the afternoon. One blonde staff member serving popcorn was very rude and I felt we just interrupted the craic she was having with a coworker. Didn't crack a smile, "what do you want". Another guy working there with glasses couldn't have been more helpful and helped me sort out a family pass as a christmas present.

Wednesday 28th August 2019 I found myself in Salthill looking for something to do for a few hours. I had only €15 in my wallet and I thought to myself “why not go see a film in the new cinema that was recently opened at the old Baily Point complex” so that is just what I did. Upon arrival at the cinema I thought to myself this looks like any other cinema and it’s probably going to be cold, but boy was I so wrong as I will explain... When I entered through the front doors into the foyer of the cinema I had to rub my eyes as I couldn’t believe that I was actually in a cinema, it looked like I had boarded a cruise liner ,I was taken aback by the breath-taking architectural design of the building, From the moment I entered it was an absolutely wonderful experience. I honestly thought that I was in a completely different place. For a moment I thought I was actually in Las Vegas, there was one enormous light fixture/chandelier , In the upper foyer and a very long staircase stretching down towards the lower foyer, where the box office/snack bar are located. The interior was mostly a very rich golden colour with a lot of black edging/borders. The staff who where well presented (wearing an elegant 3 piece styled suit uniform). It all seemed to be so delightful until I got to the ticket counter when I discovered the prices of the tickets (€14 for an Adult or €9 for a student) but that is to be expected for such a luxurious cinema, after all it is a “D’luxx” cinema so basically you are paying for a luxurious five star experience, the theatres are beautifully stylish and extremely modern unlike any other cinemas in Galway. All the seats are leather upholstered and are fitted with an electronic reclining feature. The sound and picture are excellent. It’s almost like you on the set of the film. It’s definitely worth a visit for all ages especially if you have children and want to entertain them.

It's worth 14 euro IMO cause they're marketing themselves as Screen 7 in the Eye except across the entire cinema. It might actually keep out some of those less desirables you sometimes have to share a screen with. E.g. Some teenage wan thought it'd be cool to take a selfie with Thor on the screen in the background.
