Lovely walks. But walled gardens needed a bit of TLC and it was early August and cafe was closed. Pity as lots of potential especially in the vegetable gardens. Would easily pay more per person to have a guide walk around and explain and sample various fruit and veg that were growing. My children wanted to know so much but i didn't have the knowledge. Missing a trick there i think.

Only wish there were more stars! Staff, superb, food ditto. Organic garden and Aine in a class of their own. Grounds and museum so very lovely. Every time I go, it gets better AND the iced Americano deserves a medal.

Just had a wonderful Coffee in Kaffa Coffee, the top coffee maker in North Mayo in a great atmosphere.

Wonderful café run by really nice guys. It's perfect for sitting out in the gorgeous gardens there. Great coffee too! Buy your coffee beans or ground coffee there as well... I do.

A pleasant place to spend some leisure time over a tasty snack meal. Friendly, helpful staff make you feel welcome and inclined to resolve to return soon. Due to all the hard surfaces and lack of soft furnishings, the room tends to reverberate to the sounds of chairs scraping and the like. This does not detract too much from the otherwise pleasant ambience.

Nice place found along a small country lane. Various wooded walks and trails. Small museum and several gardens. Recommend having a snack and tea in the cafe. Lots of organic produce on sale from their garden.

During my time in Mayo, I stumbled upon the Enniscoe Looped Walks and was pleasantly surprised. You can find the looped walks at the North Mayo Heritage Centre. Unfortunately when I visited during the pandemic, the centre was closed but the looped walks were still accessible. The Enniscoe Loop Walks is accessible from the car park, and offers 3km of walks through peaceful forests along Lough Conn. During rainy weather, it would be a good idea to bring along some wellingtons because the footpath can get quite muddy. Should the Genealogy centre be open when you visit, you’ll have the opportunity to trace your family routes in Mayo. There is also a museum available at the centre which displays a variety of agricultural and domestic artefacts found in Mayo. While you are there, also if it is open, there is cafe and walled garden you can visit.
