Wandered over on a whim while exploring Kilkenny. Nice collection of shops. Grabbed a piece of souvenir artwork at a reasonable price. The shops seem to run a wide gamut with respect to cost.

(Translated) Beautiful building next to Kilkenny Castle, transformed into an exhibition space with exhibitions, shops and ateliers of local artisans. Particularly beautiful are the goldsmiths workshops in the inner courtyard. Take some time to browse the imaginative contemporary Irish creations, ranging from cups to fabrics to jewels; from a few tens to several thousand euros. The courtyard at the end leads to a beautiful garden. (Original) Bel palazzo accanto al castello di Kilkenny, trasformato in uno spazio espositivo con mostre, negozietti ed atelier di artigiani locali. Particolarmente belli i laboratori orafi nel cortile più interno. Dedicate un po' di tempo per curiosare le fantasiose creazioni irlandesi contemporanee, si va dalle tazze ai tessuti ai gioielli; dalle poche decine alle diverse migliaia di euro. Daĺla corte in fondo si accede a un bellissimo giardino.

(Translated) Not your usual tourist kitsch! Something special! Directly opposite the castle, a large area with many inner courtyards is dedicated to craftsmanship. Here you can get noble souvenirs and also something special for yourself: woven, sewn, knitted, embroidered, knitted, knotted ... or glass art, decorative items, painting, reverse glass, etc. WC on the 1st floor in the restaurant. (Original) Nicht der übliche Touristen-Kitsch! Etwas Besonderes! Direkt gegenüber dem Schloss ist ein großer Bereich mit vielen Innenhöfen der Handwerkskunst gewidmet. Hier bekommt man edle Souvenirs und auch Besonderes für sich selbst: gewebtes, genähtes, gestricktes, gesticktes, gewirktes, geknüpftes… oder Glaskunst, Deko-Artikel, Malerei, Hinterglas usw. WC im 1. OG im Restaurant.
