C. O.Well worth the visit. There's lots of information and historical objects from across Monaghan to see in the museum. I found the War of Independence exhibition particularly interesting with detailed information related to the county from that time period. Also it's free to enter so I'd certainly recommend paying a visit there.
S. H.Very friendly and welcoming staff. The museum is sensibly laid out (starting with early settlers and ending with the Irish War of Independence). Good for killing an hour or so on a wet Saturday in November!

S. O. K.great to see how our tax money is spent positively. this place shows history of monaghan for 5000 years. they managed to create a whole room around one event during the war regarding a spitfire!! its free in and well worth an hour.... suitable for all ages...

f. P.Ok but the exhibition "The Watchmen" lauds Eoin O'Duffy and somehow neglects to mention that he was a Nazi sympathizer, so if they can make an oversight like that, how much of the rest of the displays are inaccurate. Apart from that the staff were very pleasant and it passed 30 minutes.
