S. T.We had a lovely few days in the Holyrood Hotel with family. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotless and our room was spacious with a modern bathroom. The food in both restaurant and bar was tasty and there was a great atmosphere as we relaxed listening to the live music in the evenings. The children loved the kids club and we all enjoyed using the pool. Great location, great service and we have already booked our next stay.

First impression was the Spacious and comfortable reception area, waiting staff pleasant and Communicative.
Room was clean, beds comfortable, linen soft and white.
Breakfast hot and served with pleasant staff. Evening meal of 4 courses was excellent The Chef is to be praised.
Reception staff are capable, proffesional and thankfully humorous.

C. A.Went here for break with partners family. Stayed for 2 nights. Room was great (shower is a bit small for taller people) the bar was great and the food was lovely however the only issue my and my partner had was the difficulty of getting served at the restaurant
I understand that it is a family hotel but given we were sitting away from the family and the children we didn't get the service we would have liked.
The only time we got amazing service was when seated with the children

A. L.Stayed in there at the start off the week for a September sizzler had the most amazing time friendly staff and the hotel was spotless couldn't fault it! The food in the restaurant was amazing as well in the waterfront bar! The hotel is just relaxing will be back
L. S.Place was good, rooms were fine and we had a decent view but we went during 30 degree weather and it was impossible to sleep. Service was great, food/drinks were great and staff were friendly and willing to conversate. Perfect location in my opinion, great view of the beach, there is a corner shop that sells drinks just a 30 second walk away and is out of the way of the adventure park so young children can sleep early without hearing it.

Room was very clean. Spa was fantastic. I had a head shoulders and neck massage and was completely relaxed afterwards. Pool was very clean and much better than some more expensive hotels I've stayed in. Food was amazing with very attentive and friendly staff. Hungarian guy was lovely and friendly. Reception staff very knowledgeable. Great that the hotel has their own car park. First time staying in Bundoran for a long time but definately will be back. Live music in the bar at night. Everything you need under one roof amazing 5*****

The food was enjoyable and service was plesent. This is not a hotel for couples. Large family presence so exspect a loud dinner lol.
S. M.Stayed for 2 nights. Rooms were very nice and very clean. Staff were fantastic and very helpful. Only 2 issues were the evening meal and the noise of some guests around the smoking area. My partner ordered chicken nuggets and chips, the nuggets were distinctly cool and the chips hard. My daughter also had a large hair in her food. The boneless ribs that I had were poor in quality and very fatty.
We were told last orders were at 11pm and the hotel reception had to be vacated by 11.30 due to covid restrictions. I fully understand and agree to this important new policy, however, I was kept awake by people talking in the smoking area to well past 2.30am. I cant understand if the reception area was cleared at 11.30 then why were guests allowed to stay in that area until basically whenever they wanted. Maybe this question can be Answered. When paying for our food at the bar my wife kept all receipts and credit card receipts as proof of purchase so we could get loyalty card points updated. On checking out of the hotel this morning, we tried to get the points added to our loyalty card via the receipts. My wife was told that the points couldn't be added on as this should have been done at the time of purchase( Meals and drinks from the bar) this annoyed me as it seemed the receptionist just didn't want or couldn't be bothered to total up the receipts, he also refused to recognise the credit card receipt for €78 which was for bar food and drinks.
A. K.Booked a massage and facial in the escape spa and beauty and it was AMAZING Well worth the money and felt very relaxed afterwards I highly recommend anyone who is staying in the hotel to avail of this service! Also want to say a shout out to Chelsea the girl who done my massage it was great :)

O. h.Stayed at the Holywood Hotel a few days ago, I have to say it was by far the best holiday and stay i had been on, from the staff being so friendly they went out of there way to help us and the cleanliness of the hotel to the food was all 100% I couldn't fault there service and hospitality, we also had the seaweed bath which was amazing felt great after it if there was 1p stars i would score the whole experience 10 out of 10 we will definitely be back great hospitality

K.Lovely hotel, great atmosphere, spotlessly clean, great location nice staff let down by ridiculous waiting times in the waterfront bar waited 20 mins to be served one day and 50 mins for two burgers the next day it was not busy on either occasion even getting a drink from bar was a chore loads of staff around so that wasn’t the issue. We where seated by the manager on several occasions just badly executed. Also although breakfast was run very well the breakfast was certainly not a full Irish 2 sausages, 2 rashers and a peice of tomato and potato bread thrown in fryer by the looks of it on a very small plate could do with improvement. Having said this we would return as we liked the hotel we would just eat elsewhere

v. r.We as a family of five were on holidays and had our evening meal here on two days. On Sunday, the portions were good, the food was good - home made chips and the batter was fresh on the fish, major draw back was the waiting time to be served our food, it was almost an hour. One person was drinking so they gave us two complimentary drinks. Today (Thursday), we got served quicker but there was no communication between staff, they came to take our order a second time. The food was not so good this time, alot smaller portions, frozen chips instead of homecut chips and the chicken wings were definitely not fresh, the top layer of chicken underneath the skin was hard. The batter wasn't as nice either on the fish - it tasted more like fish that had been frozen than fresh fish. I found the prices a little bit expensive for what we got. I would say that I found all the staff to be nice and courteous. All in all I've had much better food elsewhere but people haven't much choice at the moment with Covid unfortunately.

C.I travelled with the Corr group I asked for a room close to the lift as I am elderly and I also wanted to be close to the rest if the family, that's exactly what I got, the service and food was delicious, the staff were very helpful and curtious, I really enjoyed my stay and above a I felt safe as regards covid as all measures were adhered to. The weather was horrible when we went but it didn't matter as everything we needed was in the hotel. The kids activities and entertainment was brilliant the hotel went out of there way to make sure the kids had the time of there life so much so my kids didn't want to leave. We will be back again and again.
D. J.Great hotel but let down by kids running riot. I can't fault the hotel, food was fantastic, the staff are constantly cleaning and staff checking who is coming in and out of the hotel to prevent covid. The problem is kids just running mad into the wee small hours, the parents seem to set up shop at bar, kids aren't allowed in the bar after 8pm so are left to fend for themselves and that involves running up and down the corridors all evening, banging doors, I even stumbled across a football match in a corridor. Nothing really the hotel can do or say or they are the worst in the world.
a. t.Reception staff friendly and helpful. Bar staff were a bit of a mixed bag to be honest and it always seemed like we had to wait a while each time we wanted to order. One lady was exceptional however and served us our Sunday carvery. She was so efficient and friendly...reckon they need more staff like her. That said, the room was comfortable and I enjoyed my spa treatments. Overall it was good value for money.

I can't comment on the hotel itself as I didn't stay but the Spa was excellent. After my first treatment with Dominque I had to come back each day of my trip. Can't wait to go back for more!. Very well recommended

S. R.When placing reservation, asked for a double room with 2 single beds and advised that one of us was disabled. We were told that there wouldn't be a problem.
We booked in but on seeing the room, it was NOT what we had booked.
Double room with double bed, not enough room to manoeuvre a wheelchair.
Top floor and room furthest from the lifts.
Only small window windows. Only 1 of the 3 actually opened.
Definitely not what we were expecting or what we paid for.
The "spa facilities " weren't in the hotel but backed onto the rear of the hotel but also was open to the public. A small fee would buy an all day pass.

C.Lovely atmosphere, great staff and excellent services. However, the evening events can be loud and disrupt your sleep and the queuing for meals is dreadful. Overall, it’s a very clean hotel, great for families and couples or even lone stays. There really isn’t much to complain about. As a bonus, the hotel is in the middle of Bundoran’s major attractions!

G. G.Loving this place. We arrived yesterday and our room is great and the location even better. Room has 2 double beds and a pull out double room. I've seen some reviews saying they had dirty bathrooms ours was spotless. Food is fantastic and the kids club is excellent. The bar is lovely and the Guinness is great. Not a bad price for a hotel.

J. D.Lovely hotel. Staff were amazing from restraint to bar to kids club. Kids club is probably one of the best iv seen. Alot of different activities for all ages including bringing the kids to the cinema and other places.
Restraint food was very good and menu was changed daily. Room service was good. We got a family room and it was a good size. Only negative was there are alot of 2 or 3 steps up and down on the way to the faily rooms and we had a child in a wheelchair so that was difficult. But we never informed the staff so completely our fault. Maybe there are family rooms at the other end of the hotel were there are no steps?
Will be visiting again soon. Possibly in the summer.
D. K.we had a fantastic wk end here. the swimming pool was a tad cold for me but the Jacuzzi soon warmed me up. The room I stayed in was spotless and very comfortable. Room service 10 /10 food was 10 / 10. I will definitely go back soon.
T. D.We spent a night here in a seafront room on 05/11 and it was great. We had read a cpl of reviews that did not say a lot but we couldn't fault it and especially for the price.
Aine in the spa gave us great treatments, Kelly and Savannah at reception and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Food was tasty, breakfast fine tho the bacon could sit less in the holder.
We even had a chat with Sean on checkout. We will hope to take advantage of 1 of their offers again.

J. S.Pre booked three weeks earlier based upon projected Weather forecast which indicated best temps and no rain.
We have stayed many times at the Holyrood and have always enjoyed our stays.
On this occasion we took advantage of a three day offer plus additional two Free nights B&B on their over 55s scheme.
Upon arrival we were warmly Greeted and allocated our Room by Friendly Knowledgeable Reception Staff.
Our Room was on the second floor accessed by Lift and was our preferred option requested at time of Booking, (not always possible)
During our Stay we found the facilities excellent as usual, as were all of the Staff, from Reception, Restaurant, Bar and Grill Room and of course Housekeeping.
Will we be staying at the Holyrood again, of course we will.
B. G.If you want to feel more stressed out leaving a hotel than when you entered the hotel, then go here. The hotel's pool, hot tub are filthy and tiny. Someone else's dirty underwear behind the bed, waiting over 30 minutes for breakfast. We asked for a quiet room, but were listening to the disco across the road until after 3am. Ordering food is another challenge. Ordering a drink from the bar can take ages, too. Bar one or two the staff need to shift out of 1st gear, and undergo a customer service course. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location.
L. S.I stayed for one night and the staff was incredibly helpful. At reception you will find 2 tanks with nice and natural flavoured water. It was really quiet during my stay so I enjoyed a lot walking around the hotel :). Breakfast was delicious, included in the price and you can choose from a range of full Irish breakfast, vegetarian breakfast and pancakes, but you have buffet to choose from a range of slices of white, brown and seed's bread, with syrups and honey, cereals, orange juice and coffee or tea served with the breakfast.
What I enjoyed the most was the time at the spa, you can use all the facilities in the blue river leisure and spa. The temperature of the swimming pool was perfect, not too warm. The hot tub was very relaxing :)
The room was spotless as the bathroom, with a really nice bath ;) the room was warm, quite big and the bed incredibly comfortable!!

Bathroom was a good size but everything was just so old and dated. Breakfast was very good and staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself though was very tired and dated looking and in need of a good facelift but I'm sure the management already knows this. Reminded me of a hotel like Fawlty Towers in style and decor.

m. s.We stayed here as it was near the Rory Gallagher festival which we were going to. I myself was in a wheelchair due to a leg injury . Tey have parking at the back of the hotel wit disability parking. Facing it there is a lesure centre part of the hotel u go in through there where there is a lift to take u to the main recp. Beware tat once the lesure centre is closed u will have to go through the car park to the front door. We got to our room which smelled really bad of cigarette smoke my husband went down and brought it to the ladys attention at the recp reason being Tey have a strickley nó smoking ban in the hotel if caught u cud be fined so we dint like tem to tink it was us. I tink the cleaners tat do the rooms shd have brought it to the attention of the manager wen tey were cleaning it and shd not have put us r anyone else in there until the smell was gone. Tey were to send someone up to spay something I presume it wud have been air freshener which never happened. On a positive note the room was really gud size had coffee and tea facilities and was cleaned to a very high standard other tan the small matter I stated above sheets, bedlinen, towels all spotless. The staff in the hotel were very accomadating, helpful and very friendly. We ate both nights in the hotel bar whice had a carvery with a great selection on the menu. The food was to a very high standard which was delicious both nights. I wud highly recommended eating here. Also the waiting staff in the bar were so helpful and very chatty recomending places to see and things to do Tey couldn't do enough for us. Tey really are such a lovely bunch. I wud recommend tis Hotel and I defiantly wud stay here again, its central to everything. I would have given it 4 stars only for the issue wit the smoke and nobody had appolagisrd to us for it at the time.

b.Lovely hotel . Decor if beautiful. But the place if run down. The pool was like a muddy river. Breakfast was cold and over cooked . Bar staff were slow . Toilet seat and roll holder broken. This hotel could be a classic if run a bit better .

B. M.Very big, old fashioned hotel with lovely atmosphere. More than friendly staff, nice bar food menu and great breakfast selection. The rooms are big and beds are very comfortable, all linen including the towels are spotless. However, The hotel is very tired and a bit jaded and needs tons of money for a major facelift. Decor mainly and sealants around baths sinks and toilets. Bedroom furniture needs renewed too. Apart from that it's great. We used the spa for facials...Awesome!! Would stay here again if we were in Bundoran

N. H.Hotel a bit dated but ok. We were given a breakfast and evening meal included in price of stay. The morning was very hectic for breakfast , long wait, but food fine. When we went for evening meal it was a set menu as in with price, we paid extra supplement for steak, the meal was mediocre, and definitely would not have paid for it had it not been included. And the wait was rediculous as there was hardly anybody in restaurant. Would definitely not eat in there again. The pool area was ok . Overall ok.

D. S.Just arrived to be informed that the changing rooms for the Blue leisure spa are being refurbished and if you want to use the facilities you have to change in your room?? This is not mentioned on their Facebook page ???Also booked this weekend away before Christmas and when I tried to book the free treatments I was told I would be called back. No call. Rang again yesterday to book and again I was told that I would be called back as the therapists where busy still no call back. Tried to book when I arrived to be told that all treatments are booked out.
If I would have been made aware of this beforehand I wouldn't have wasted my time coming down or would have rebooked for another weekend. Not amused
r. w.Good points and bad points , the good first . A good deal when you consider it worked out about 47.50 euro pp pn ,bottle of sparkling wine & chocs on arrival, spa treatment each person, one dinner any night . Now the bad , 20 mins wait to be served breakfast each morning, bar staff not the friendliest, no hot tub ,no showers in pool area and no working jacuzzi ,I personally wouldn't be rushing back there .

M. R.Nice hotel, just 2 concerns I have. Firstly myself & my family spent several days there. We specifically asked days before arrival to be placed on the 1st floor because it's one level, instead they put us on the 2nd which you have to negotiate several small flights of stairs. I don't have a problem with climbing up & down stairs but when you have a small child in a pram and carrying luggage it soon became a problem, in fact it was a nightmare.
Secondly my son who is autistic injured himself in the hotel, be bent his finger in a way that it stretched tendons. His finger had swollen and started to bruise, we thought it was broken. We approached the receptionist & asked to see a First Aider, the reply we got was there isn't one, there is a pharmacy across the street. Now were I'm from it is employment law to have a qualified First Aider. I can't understand why they don't have one, it doesn't cost much to get one or two members of staff trained.

Wasnt great trying to get kids bk over after them up to 11.30 dancing with marian in the lobby. Everything else was 1st class.

S. o. h.At first appearance from outside thought it looked very tired but inside it was clean and breakfast was dead on and evening meal also but I could not help get the stench of stagnant water or blocked sewerage in my bathroom in my room and also in reception area it got right up my nose and was border line sickening as had a few beverages but overall fair.
