Good value for the money. Staff was friendly and helped us. Room was OK, but the beds was very soft and U shared. Me and my gal kept rolling towards the middle of the bed. The pub was great for pints, only €4. Quite for from central Dublin. Takes about 20-30min to walk to O'Connell street.

They were laying new carpet when I stayed and did everything to make sure I could get in with comfort. The staff were helpful and the room ok. The hotel is dated but comfortable. Irish breakfast freshly cooked. Beds clean and fully working bathroom.

Great staff and food. First floor rooms are noisy as they are over the bar. Music does end at 2:30 though. Noise is okay for night-owls but not great for families. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

I'm so glad that we decided to stay at the Portobello Hotel when we visited Dublin. The hotel itself is above a pub, so if you are going to be staying here, keep that in mind for noise level. The noise bothered me a bit as a very light sleeper, but not my husband. Valentino and the staff were completely amazing and continually went above and beyond to make us feel at home during our stay helping us with everything from directions to umbrellas. Our room was spotless, breakfast amazing, the hotel is short walk from downtown, what else could anyone ask for?

Decent price for where it is located. 25 minute walk to Dublin city. Good services but some maintenance issues i.e: the elevator was broken for a day , the window in the bedroom couldn't close . Not your typical hotel but for the price you're paying it's great :)

The name "Potobello hotel" is a little deceptive, I'm reviewing the bar. The bar stretches along under the actual hotel. Every time we've been here the staff have been great. Fair selection of beers and ales. Great areas to watch sport, as there are Tv's all over the place. And you can sit and watch the swans chasing the ducks away from their signets, when in season, whilst sipping your beer outside.

Super little hotel, friendly staff. Had a sick kiddo with me and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Lovely clean rooms and delicious hot breakfast.

It was an OK room, but I found it odd I had no window. Since I was on the top floor I did have a skylight that it appeared I could open & close. Though I didn't feel like messing with the linkage sitting in the corner. I do have to thank the guy at reception for warning me about rip off taxi drivers charging more than the flat 25€ fee to the airport. Though I also didn't like that the person at reception the day before told me about a shuttle I could schedule ... that didn't exist.

Staff were very friendly and the place was clean, although it was a bit dated. Great location, especially for the price. Our room was above the bar and it was very loud on Saturday night but not so bad during the week. Music ends at 2:30.

Top location, only about 15 minutes walk to the city center. Plenty of bars, pubs and supermarkets nearby. There is a bar downstairs in the hotel itself. Staff very friendly, we had a problem in the bathroom on the day before last, we were given another room without any objection. The rooms are clean. If I come back to Dublin I will book here again!

Excellent accommodation 20 minutes walk from the center and temple bar. From the hotel you can reach the UDC in 45 minutes on foot. Behind the hotel there is stop 757 to go to the airport. Convenient and clean. Not exactly cheap.

Stopped in on a whim for a bite to eat and a drink and loved it! Server was super friendly and helpful, food was great, drinks were great, and the decor is super cool. We will probably stop in again while we are still in the area!

Sadly only was able to go here for a drink so can speak only on atmosphere, which was fantastic. The place was recently renovated, but looks authentic. The drinks were fine. The live music was awesome too ( not too loud , which could be an issue for some parties since sometimes it’s impossible to talk). Will be back for food

If you are from the US and looking for a place to watch American football, this is it ! We went in because my boyfriend is a huge Lions fan ...actually met people who lived in the same state as us traveling and looking g for the game too . The food and the staff were amazing. Highly recommend.

Great location and only half an hour walk from the centre of Dublin. Busses are very regular and stop just outside. The river runs along side the hotel, perfect for nice walks. Room was Extremely clean and comes toiletries/coffee/tea. The only downside was lack of air conditioning and that's the only reason I am dropping a star. Room can get hot so you may have to leave a window open. Weekends can get noisey but this is to be expected with the rooms being on top of the bar. The bar is very nice with very reasonable priced drinks

A very warm welcome! Well located despite a busy street. The place is simple but still reasonable for the price. Simple but functional room. There you will find drinks for late arrivals.

The restaurant is very nice and affordable. 11.5 euros, and you first choose your main dish and add several types of vegetables and a good little sauce, all accompanied by a good Guiness of course.
