C. C.Had a spa weekend away in the Villa Rose. It was perfect from the get go. Very relaxing. The staff from front of house to the back were brilliant and very attentive. We had an issue with the room on the first night (heating issue, out of the staffs control, so I'll not deduct a star) and the manager sorted it straight away, no fuss, hassle free. The spa was fantastic and very clean, the staff were so welcoming. The breakfast was delicious as was our dinner and plenty of cocktails to choose from :)
M. R.Two nights at the Villa Rose Hotel was like being away for a week. A great relaxing atmosphere, the staff where very friendly and helpful. Our room was bright and airy with plenty of space, the bathroom was spotless and modern. The bed was very comfortable with lots of lovely pillows. The dinning room is fun to be in because of the fun shapes and changes of colour and texture. Great choice of breakfasts, cooked to perfection and waiting staff we're very helpful and happy.
The spa is a must visit during your stay.

M.Feel sad couldnt give a higher rating,Room was beautiful and bed was A1,,had a good nights sleep.The resturaunt wasnt overly busy to justify the poor table service,even though we had been instructed our table sitting was 6.30 sharp,the starter was lovely ,the main course was a disaster on a plate ,I did complain and they did offer to serve more food ,however I declined on that and was informed the main course would be deducted from the bill,to go down to the desk for checkout and realise it hadnt been deducted ,so had to go through the whole story again ,and felt they were not believing me,our 2main courses were literally untouched,and felt disheartened to get the third degree by the two receptionists and then the manager,who then was apologetic,I have worked in hospitality ,and would hate to think that I would not give 100 percent to my clientele,beautiful hotel and I have stayed there several times and never before could I have complained .

T.Recently stayed here for an overnight trip , the experience was phenomenal , the staff are outstanding from reception to the bar, incredibly friendly and attentive , with an extreme attention to detail. One lady in the bar I think her name was Caoimhe went above and beyond had a personal approach from the first drink when I asked for a glass of ice , every drink after came with that glass of ice. As our hospitality industry emerges from Covid -19 it is hotels like the Villa Rose that will stand head and shoulder above others. The staff are an absolute credit to this Hotel. Will def be go to hotel when up watching Harps

Was pleased to have iron and board in room . unfortunately iron wasn't working reported it to reception on Sunday and when I left on Wednesday nothing had been done to fix it. How was I suppose to get ladies to dance with me in unironed shirts . Disappointing.☹️🙄😆💃
V. H.There was 4 of us in a room which was very compact . Our toilet once flushed you couldn’t flush it for another 2 hours Shower was either really hot or cold. Table was booked for 8 pm we were shown are table at 9 and eating our main course at 10, far too late. Food was excellent and so was spa

S.Very delightful afternoon tea which beautiful scones, tray bakes, cheese cake and a variety of sandwiches plus smoked salmon on wheaten bread and little eclairs balls. Water, tea and coffee we are all very full. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

M. M.Went here for a spa day for a friend's birthday and had the pick and mix selection. Hands down the best massage and facial I have ever gotten. I wish I could remember the ladies name to thank her. The interior is just beautiful too. A really relaxing fun day.
D. D.Staff are great, location is good. To give fair criticism, the nachos in the Wee Bar are terrible. It was matchday & the TV in the wee Bar is wee in the extreme and damaged. Not overly important but the sound is out of sync on all the TV channels in the rooms. Bathroom door in our room doesn't close.

When we left we had a flat tyre and the spare was stuck the staff went out of their way to help they even got a local mechanic to help me out couldn’t be more helpful

A. L.We had dinner Valentine's night in Fara's restaurant. We were a little apprehensive as it was very busy but we were seated at a table that gave us enough privacy but with the experience of a warm, busy atmosphere. The menu was amazing with a mouthwatering amuse-bouche and sorbet from the chef between courses. The waitress was spot on with her wine advice to go with the lamb ( which was cooked beautifully) and the dessert's were varied but irresistible. After paying, we were offered a glass of Prosecco on departure to bring to relax in the lounge. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable evening with great food, great wine and excellent service!

The downside is;
No carpets in the bedrooms. ...an accident waiting to happen especially for older people. My 99 year old father was afraid of falling or slipping on the bare floorboards.
There is no outlook at the hotel. ...seems like commercial buildings surrounding the hotel.
We sat outside the front of the hotel....no garden.
It's ideal for a base to travel to and from.

p. P.Great hotel for exploring Donegal, the only complaint was the room we where allocated 325 out side the window was two air condition units supplying cold air to the kitchen but the noise was terrible, right up until 10.30pm and then it was back on 6.40am.
Spoke to the manager she was very sympathetic and would pass on are complaint.
A. F.Incredible service and the most kind caring staff I have ever come across. We had an awful journey getting to Ireland which started with delayed flights that resulted in no car, a £200 and 2hr taxi ride. We woke up tired from our hotel (not villa rose) to get to a wedding held here, we were given tea and staff were so helpful in how we cpukd get bavk after the weekend, they sat an showed us bus routes and best priced taxis etc. The next day we arrived in the morning to see if the restaurant was open but when it wasn't we were happy to get a cup of tea to which the lady who recognised us from yesterday asked if we had had breakfast, when she found out no she went and made us toast. I have never been so 5ouched by how much staff cared especially for people who aren't "full guests".

i. 8.Went for a wedding. Good food was given but when you pay 140 euro for basically a single bed for 2 adults is insulting. Then to have your breakfast included to then find out that the only vegan options for my partner was toast and jam. Will not be back for another night over again.
