Fantastic food, brilliant venue for a wedding

Lunch menu turned out to be just the same as bar food. Everything with chips. Pasta was too salty. Other half ended up with burger.
Disappointed. Thought going at lunch time to a hotel we'd get a good lunch.

Although just open again after the major lockdown, because of Covid-19 virus, there are shall we say teething problems in the restaurant area . The service was slow and bar service nowhere near a four star hotel rating which this establishment supposedly has. I was not staying at the hotel just for an evening meal which was a redeeming factor,in my visit. The quality of the food served was very very good and thoroughly enjoyed. The staff are quite friendly under a difficult start. I wish them for the season and might check in again sometime soon.😉😀👍.

Lovely hotel Showers were hard to turn on, wake up call never came because apparently they have a volume button on it. Restaurant was one of the best we had on our trip. Personnel was very friendly. Lovely view from our room

Lunch was very nice and people were cheerful, will visit again.

Excellent value for money all round.
So nice to see a family oriented business that is reasonably priced for everything on show.
A family day out that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and one that is fully for the kids.
Hopefully we can get back next year.

My family and I have stayed in this hotel for a number of years now, usually for 2 - 3 nights during the summer and we love staying there, its lovely and bright and modern and good value for a main course in the bar with a good variety to choose from, the staff are all very nice and helpful and friendly and we were pleasantly surprised this year just about 2 weeks ago now the bedrooms on the 2nd. floor have been refurbished and the decor and colour of furniture is beautiful.

Great bar and professional services. Great Sunday lunch, reservations a must, book early. Fantastic sea view from front bedroom. All newly renovated. Bridal suites 5☆. Great venue for weddings and dinner dancing. Plenty of bedrooms for the occasion. Professional service.

Beds were poorly dressed receptionist was very rude and the coke is over priced €3 for a tiny bottle of coke?! An absolute joke window's don't open wide enough and the rooms are boiling it is a nice hotel but it can improve a small bit Paul is class tho

Lovely hotel. Restaurant and Bar. Gorgeous view from my room over to the Ocean. But I have to say after a week of travelling Ireland, staying at various other hotels plus meeting many locals and seeing how friendly the Irish are (apart from the very nice barman @Majestic) the rest of the staff there were not very friendly or happy. Perhaps a smile and a nice greeting wouldnt go astray :) I felt we were more of an inconvenience than welcomed. Even on a bus tour we are individuals not a herd of sheep. Good morning to you.

Amazing place to stay in. We stayed the week with two kid's and very child friendly. Staff, cleaners extremely nice people. Beautiful food and a fantastic room we stayed in. Looking forward to our next stay in this hotel.

Rooms good. Shower a bit iffy when someone else showering at the same time. Staff in reception excellent. Food in the dining room poor. I had pork as a main course and it was definitely reheated

Construction is going on in March during the daylight hours so anyone needing to sleep during the day will find this annoying. Otherwise this is a quaint place to visit and can be enjoyable to many. Good views from some of the rooms too!

The room was very nice the staff was good breakfast excellent the only problem we had was that the bed was very hard and we didn't have a good sleep all week because of this and the shower kept going hot and cold and wasn't very strong flow

Had lunch in the Majestic and the food was excellent. The manager Colm was in charge of the service and it was 5 star. The service crew were very well trained. The view out to Tramore Bay was amazing and the decor of the room was very nicely done.Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Very quiet and inexpensive hotel, at least out of season. Our late arrival did not discourage the bellman from serving us Guinness and local beers! And at breakfast you will inevitably find the formula that suits you. As far as I'm concerned, I recommend the full Irish.

(Translated) Hotelito facing the sea, good location, clean, attentive staff, comfortable room. It is a 4 star something old but well renovated. The pressure of the shower is scarce. The decoration is classic Irish. Perfect for a break.

Hotelito frente al mar, buena ubicación, limpio, personal atento, habitación cómoda. Es un 4 estrellas algo viejito pero bien renovado. La presión de la ducha es escasa. La decoración es clasica irlandesa. Perfecto para una escapada.

The rooms are nice, comfortable and clean however, this review has no way to rate the food and the accommodations together.
If I could’ve rated the food separately I would have give in 1-2 Stars max.
The food was marginal at best. My wife and I both had the Seafood Pies. There was hardly any seafood in it, literally perhaps 1 Tbsp of seafood, along with tons of mashed potatoes. This should’ve been called mashed potato pie, not seafood pie. It was served “scalding” hot and we had to wait a while to even eat it.
I moved all the cheese and potatoes away to look for the seafood and there was a very small piece of salmon and a very small piece of whiting. Not sure but I might have seen a small sliver of crab claw too but it was not worth mentioning. We ate the small bit of seafood in the dish along with the melted cheese and left most of the mashed potatoes untouched.
We then waited for desert which was a small portion of meringue, a small petite-4 sized chocolate brownie and a small dry piece of cake. I left most each desert on the plate practically untouched.
The hotel is nice, the restaurant food however was not up to par.

The Majestic just has everything you need in a hotel without the frills. Staff are great. The location is ideal. Our room looked out over the sea and had a balcony from which an amazing sunrise. I couldnt get the shower, so had the use - it in no way detracted from the overall experience. The breakfast is just good a most hotels. There was ample free parking directly across from the hotel.
M. H.
Ate Sunday lunch in the bar and it was delicious!!! Plenty of fresh food. Bar menu was better than most places and they also have a carvery running if you prefer
Staff were helpful and waiting time minimal
A. L.
We had such an amazing time here. Our room was gorgeous and had the best view. the staff were friendly and kind especially Alice who was so lovely! The breakfast was delicious and so filling. Altogether a lovely place to stay. We enjoyed being near the water and having a relaxing stay.

Stayed one night with family. A nice hotel located in close proximity to the beach and all other attractions including restaurants. Breakfast was included in the stay which was the highlight of the stay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.
M. A.
Just across the ocean, it brings you to olden times. Well-renovated, spacious rooms and friendly staff.
The food was very good.

Couldn't recommend this hotel enough room was absolutely fabulous staff were so friendly and welcoming could not have done enough myself and 2 daughters went down as a surprise for my daughters 9th Birthday the ladies at reception got to witness the shock on my girls face when she realised we were checking in it was priceless they were so good and thoughtful that when we arrived back from the amusement they had a note and plate of goodies left in the room it really was the cherry on the cake to end such a good day 😀 🥰 thank you so much we will definitely be back x
F. M.
I stayed here for one night while on tour of Ireland. Rooms were spotless, roomy, lovely toiletries. The view from the room of the sea, fabulous. Breakfast was awesome huge variety of hot and cold food. Staff very professional, accommodating, friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended

Good location, right in the centre of Tramore, rooms are ok a bit dated for a 4 star but comfortable and serviced every day, only real grip was a group that were leaving early made more racket when they were leaving their rooms, doors banging and full blown loud conversations at 7am on a bank holiday Monday, not to going to say what nationality they were but the were loud! Breakfast was standard fry/cereal and to be fair they kept the food topped up so there was always plenty overall its nice place.to go for a night or two only
S. D.
This is a really beautiful hotel about 15 minutes walk from a bunch of bars. The hotel is located in tramore which is generally a very mellow town not a whole lot to do from what I can tell but the hotel is really beautiful inside . The staff is extra helpful always with a smile on her face and the breakfast is good . they could add some whole fruits and sweet pastries. The room was comfortable but kind of noisy, had to put earplugs in.
T. D.
Visited hotel for 2 night stay with family. Very clean and rooms very comfortable. Nice sea view. Lovely breakfast. Nice choice of food in bar and very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely seating area for morning coffee or afternoon tea.
M. C.
Nicest place I ever stayed. Staff very so welcoming. Beautiful meal and georgous room..would highly recommend.

Best hotel for a wedding and day after celebrations! Mark and Laura made it all so easy for us, we can't recommend them highly enough. It was all perfect. Excellent food, best beef quality we ever ate and all our guests were absolutely amazed, including the farmers! Thank you to all the majestic family 💖
j. f.
Great family run hotel. One of the kids got I’ll while we were there and we had to leave a day early. The lady at reception was great and refunded the night that we were not staying. This was above and beyond as far as I am concerned because they could very well have charged the full rate. Will definitely be going back.👌
c. f.
We had it booked for a confirmation a cake was ment to be there it was not. Service in restaurant was terrible we were told to sit in lobby to wait for a table when it was practically empty. The roast beef looked lovely but was inedible all fat, we had to keep asking for the kids burger to be bought out. Tha bill of 169e was not worth it what so ever. Staff in restaurant not very pleasant and the man on the desk was useless and not nice to deal with. Won't be going back would rather stay where staff are nice, and not supplying what they offered!
V. K.
We had our wedding in August at the Majestic hotel and we were so pleased with everything that they provided for us. The service from them was excellent, the food was beautiful and everyone said the staff couldn't of been more attentive to them. Mark and his staff done at wonderful job on making our day so special. And I'd highly recommend them for anybodys special event.
M. M.
Nice location, 5 minute walk to the beach, with a great view from the room. Bar was very cosy and the food was good. Staff all excellent
C. L.
There are multiple reasons that our stay was great but there are two main reasons I feel this way. One is that I have celiac disease and we had a set menu to choose from for dinner that did not include gluten free dishes, the chef made me a special dish that was gluten free. It was delicious, even my non celiac husband enjoyed a few bites of it. The other reason is that my son accidentally left an item behind that was very important to him. They found it and Ann sent it back to us, all the way to the USA. They did so much to go above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing! Wonderful customer service!!
S. C.
The majestic is a lovely hotel, although we didn't stay here we ate here most nights out of the week, the staff are very nice but unfortunately there is not enough of them, we waited a long time for our food, the food was very nice but I feel like the menu needs to be looked at and changed a bit. I would go back again as it's a nice spot for dinner and a couple of quiet drinks with the family, the only spot we would drink in in tramore.
b.
Didnt stay here but went for tea and sandwiches. Staff are really nice. Service was quick. Food was lovely. Nice place for food and drinks.
T. H.
Came for the O'Malley reunion and everything was top notch. Food was great, every staff member was friendly and seemed happy to be there. Also had a great view.
P. M.
Lovely hotel. Good food .The only gripe was that when our room was serviced on Sunday , the maid refused to make bed.?
K. O.
I love the hotel, rooms and location. Some of the staff are nice but one in particular isn’t he looks like one of the main managers he is rude to his own staff and I feel sorry for them as some of them are helpful and friendly but this man named mark is not. I hope he changes his ways.
a. m.
Stayed here a few weeks ago on first impression the hotel lobby is really lovely pity the rest of hotel wasn't as nice tbh we booked a double standard room which was a mistake it was really out dated the room smelt old ,you could barely move in bathroom couldn't close door if you were sat on toilet also the room was directly over the heating for hotel which kept us awake most of the night when there was music blaring out and people shouting in the hall way at 3 in the morning ,breakfast was OK except the rashers looked like they'd been there for a few weeks so over cooked
Reception staff were friendly on booking in I probably would stay there again just book a better room I suppose you get what you pay for I just expected something better, and I don't think its a 4 star hotel tbh
M. P.
We went here for a large family holiday, with everyone from old to young. The hotel staff were friendly and so helpful.
K. K.
Comfortable place to stay in a good location. Employees were courteous and gave excellent service.
T. N.
Excellent service and food.
Beds are very squeaky and uncomfortable.
J. T.
Family friendly and safe for kids, excellent food and professional service. Accommodation excellent rooms with fantastic views of the seafront. Professional management through out. 5 Star.👏
P. W.
Only stayed for 1 night , location great for beach and walking, our hot water wasn't working in the morning, when we went down to desk they said nothing wrong with it, but when we were checking out I was told they said there was a problem and it had been fixed, breakfast is buffet and good variety,
A. G.
A perfect short stay.. hotel clean and perfect location. Nice food and friendly staff
R. G.
I stayed here in 2015 we were doing a grand tour of the UK I quite liked it
M. H.
We didn't stay in hotel but had a lovely few drinks there
m. b.
Lovely friendly attentive staff, right in the heart of the village beach on your door step so much to do when see
N. S.
Great hotel in Tramore. Nice dinner and a pint
B. M.
Food was excellent and staff were lovely
G. B.
Beautiful location, very atmospheric interior, clean, tidy, great cuisine and good service. Very nice outdoor patio. The entrance steps are a bit troublesome, especially for older people with luggage, but the hotel staff is also helpful in this matter. I recommend walking along the beach and the promenade. A well-stocked "Aldi" nearby. One of the nicer hotels I had the opportunity to visit in Ireland.
E. G.
Very nice hotel not far from the beach. If you like ice bathing, then this is just the thing for you. There's not much going on in the town itself and there's nothing to see. If you want to pass the time, you can go to the amusement park by the beach, take a walk on the beach or simply treat yourself to a few Guinness or an Irish Red Ale in the very nice hotel bar.
G. R.
Best and cleanest bathroom on the trip and then the mixer tap on the sink was forgotten
Rooms small but iron and hairdryer available
C. V.
Too small bathroom/toilet
Difficult to get the water temperature right. Toilet flush malfunctions.
Average breakfast
M. C.
The place is very nice. We only came in to eat. The food in general was good. I ordered fish and it was undercooked. But they solved it soon. Good service.
L. A.
It's a superb hotel, the room with a sea view, you can have a hearty Irish breakfast, with eggs, 🍳 beans, sausage on the terrace. You can celebrate a birthday there.
The room is spacious. The bathroom with the bathtub. At dinner there is a local dish, such as Irish pork with cider sauce, served with seasonal vegetables🥦🥔🥕. A huge pavlova, but without the red fruits 😂Very good, 😋fish, also vegetarian 🍛 pasta. The sea is very close, you can swim or walk. 15.8° C for water in July.🌊 I recommend.
J. P. E.
Cozy hotel, magnificent sea views, full breakfast and very attentive and pleasant staff
Á. d. J. R.
Little hotel facing the sea, good location, clean, attentive staff, comfortable room. It is a 4-star somewhat old but well renovated. The shower pressure is poor. The decoration is classic Irish. Perfect for a getaway.
f.
It's a shame for this hotel which doesn't seem that bad....you realize it at night and in the morning when you can't turn a blind eye in bed and outside in the corridor it seems like bears are passing by...you can hear everything too the smallest noises. never again
