Reviews of Roganstown Hotel & Country Club
Great stay with friends. Staff are exceptional - very professional and friendly. From reception to bar staff to restaurant staff all were excellent and very welcoming. We did have a very long wait for dinner but we were informed due to staff issues there would be a delay in kitchen and we were kindly offered drinks on the house while we were waiting.
The staff were exceptional. We were a party of 27 and each one of us felt totally pampered. We were celebrating my husbands retirement and we will definitely be back again to Roganstown to celebrate our next celebration there. Gwen, John, the Manager and our wonderful waitress were amazing. Thank you so much.
Facilities superb. Bar staff excellent, and food superb. The deluxe king room was amazing. I was a little disappointed when I got a phone call after I had checked out about the bill. I paid in full at reception but got a call saying that they were trying to process my bill ( which I had paid and have reciept) with a card I used to book online. But apart from that blip everything was excellent and will stay again
Didn't feel like cooking so popped in for a quick bite. The food was ok. Lovely atmosphere in the place and our server was top class. Worth a visit.
Booked dinner for 8, place was pretty full was offered a table only for it to be took. Was offered a table at the bar??.No need for tables at the bar what so ever. Young staff need more training and fitted uniform. Dinner well should be cooked to as ordered, and both at the same time. Manager was apologetic and done his best. Receptionist was absolutely lovely and explained the tattoo's with meaning. Was very grateful for the upgrade as it was a special occasion, room was absolutely amazing 👏had a great time there.
Beautiful setting for the hotel. The place is so close to City, yet you feel like you are somewhere in the country. Very nice and accommodating staff. Certainly worth visiting, even if you are not a golfer.
Visited tayto Park with my family on the day, had originally booked somewhere else but there leisure centre had to forcefully close. Found Roganstown on short notice for a great price. Lovely decor and the staff were amazing and very accomadating. The bar manager was happy to help when heating my daughters milk. Will definitely be returning for another stay
Had a lovely meal in the bar after a round of golf. Really good food, the mushroom soup was fabulous. Staff are very friendly, overall a great spot and I'll definitely be back.
My wife and I stayed for 2 nights and celebrated our wedding anniversary. Our accommodation was excellent and the food was great. All of the staff were fantastic and worked diligently throughout the day at reception, bar and dinning room. Hats off to John who turns his hand at everything and who takes great pride in his Guinness which I have to say is one of the best Guinness in Ireland. We played both golf courses on site which were in great condition with very quick greens. All in all a Great Package. Thanks
What a gem ⭐. We played golf on the fabulous Roganstown course and stayed the night. The team there was exceptional with special word of gratitude to John who was leading the team by the best example of customer care. The facilities were excellent- beautuful hair salon and spa, swimming pool and gym. We had a late checkout which to us really made a difference.
With current restrictions, the hotel did very well. Particularly the friendly people who worked there. I have the impression that the hotel is understaffed. The fish and chips I got was freshly cooked and piping hot. The other mains served was cool and sent back for reheating which was not fully successful.
The golf course is beautifully designed and maintained. We had an excellent round of golf with another couple who we met there.
Great golf courses, and good hotel. Liked the rooms which were comfortable if just a little dated but I prefer that to those that are modern cold & clinical.
What kinda spoilt it a little for me was service was a bit slow both for drinks and food, though staff were friendly and helpful, if perhaps a little over stretched. The cooked breakfast was ok because I felt the sausages and bacon could have had a bit more colour, however staff provided a full range of coffees and eggs if requested.
After staying for a short trip and visiting in skerries town outside of Dublin I had a break in / theft from of the rental car and all property stolen which was a shock. Upon arrival at the Hotel I believe Eva (Only been Working there a week as Well) a Lithuanian Hotel Worker did everything to help and make sure the stay at the Hotel was relaxing and for this reason you get a five star Roganstown Hotel Owners because your staff actually made sure I was ok after a really bad experience. I hope this review finds your employee. Good bar and breakfast and pool looked great but my swim suit stolen so.....
From check-in to check-out the staff could not have been more helpful. Every member of staff we met were very friendly and fun to deal with. The hotel is very clean, comfortable and homely, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable, and the food is beautiful. The golf courses are maintained beautifully and I'd highly recommend this hotel. It has quickly become a new favourite of mine to stay on business trips. A real home away from home.
Stayed for 3 nights booked through Pigsback. Hotel and reception were excellent however felt because we were on a deal that the main meal and cocktail were a big disappointment. Bar manager was complicit too.
Beautiful Hotel staff were very friendly.Weddung venue was fantastic Had a great time would gi back.
This place is an absolute treat! The course is superb with each hole well thought out and a joy to play. The hotel and spa is in great nick and the staff very welcoming. Def recommend!
Reception and staff were lovely Glad to see all covid rules in place Very disappointed in the meals Both dinner and breakfast . There was one member of staff at breakfast that was very rude boarding on racists The bedrooms were very comfortable The spa was just ok very disappointed steam room was out of order and not informed .The hotel probably needs a face lift
We had a wonderful break here with an Escapes.ie voucher. We had to rearrange our first planned trip and the staff couldn't be more helpful. We had a great room and quality of service was top notch from all staff. A great spot for anyone looking a relaxing break within easy shot of Dublin. We will most certainly be back.
This place is an absolute treat! The course is superb with each hole well thought out and a joy to play. The hotel and spa is in great nick and the staff very welcoming. Def recommend!
We stayed sat night 25 plus kids on a. Package deal,
Reseption girls very friendly even thought they. We're very busy they. We're so helpful and accomidating,
Every where was spotless, from. Lounge to pool to bedrooms,
Staff extremely kind and made the whole trip a Pleasant experience even.in these Strange times
Dinner was outstanding and breakfast. Was. Very. Nice. Too will. Defo. Be back. Again
Thank you to All the staff for such a nice evening
Had a lovely lunch & stay here for a family birthday. Food was delish and the room was clean, bright and airy. All of the staff were lovely and very helpful. Would defo go back 😊
Give it three star but room very outdated but at the same time lacks that old days charm to be acclaimed as a Boutique hotel so definitely room to be rated two starts while hotel could be pushed to three - but much work needed to bring it to charming status - spa was biggest disappointment and under any circumstances could not be recommended - rooms are small and dark and massage although was scheduled for 45 min was only 35 minutes as they claimed they need reset time however no other spa that I go they do it at expense of the client so improvement needs be there although could be just something of the local custom that Im not aware of. Restaurant had great soup and wings - amazing value for money too - portions were huge, however all went down with a steak - was supposed to be aged 10 years ribeye but was much dry - sauce saved it - with that in mind potential is there 😀 but considering the juicy price we paid for it, and we expected much more especially while many things closed due to Covid, jacuzzi and sauna and steam room all closed while many other hotels have them open already. so if I was owner I would try improve Facilities overall to make up the difference - so pushing it to three stars but closer to two in current condition of it.
Beautiful golf and country club. Lovely food and drinks 🍺. Great to see live is starting to get back to some type of normality.
Staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the main restaurant as we were not aware that a booking had to be made to eat in the bar. The food was very nice and our server Clara was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The bed rooms although clean are tired and need updating, it would not take much to improve them greatly, new carpet etc.
We took the spa offer which we were looking forward to until we had our stay. The bed was like a rock and we could constantly hear people walking up the corridor. The food was not worth the 40 minute wait which the chips still came out raw and the steak was extremely tuff. The spa was the highlight of the stay as it was top class. As a side note covid mustn’t be a big concern for the hotel as numerous staff members walked around either without a mask or wearing it below their face.
A very nice stay. Shame restaurant closed due to COVID but limited bar menu was good
Great location for Tayto Park and Dublin zoo. Staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful.
Although the rooms were so warm with no way to cool them down. We constantly had the window open and it still didn't cool down. Food and drinks seemed slightly high too.
Went on a pigsback deal. Country house, nice enough, food good. Felt sorry for staff, as it was busy and not enough staff on. Luke our server, he was so lovely, very mannerly, very helpful. Would we go back.....yes
The staff were exceptional on the reception desk. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night, and although we had to move rooms, the room was ready the next morning early so we could travel. The food at the bar was lovely, and staff were so polite and kind.Breakfast did not have to booked and it was a pleasure being served a delicious start every morning. The pool was fabulous and everything was so clean. I couldn't recommend the place more as we were so very welcomed. I chose the hotel as a friend was married here years previously but it is so near everything , we visited tayto park, dublin zoo malachite Castle portmarnock, howth, burrow beach and swords for dinner on out last evening. It was truly one of best holidays.
We went for lunch, had seafood chowder and desert. Soop was nice and staff were friendly, but my stomach was in pain after..
Good hotel facilities, great golf course and leisure club also
brought on pigsback, haven't been in years. The cocktail on arrival was ? some kind of punch, you had no choice. The chesfs super salad was awful and fish and chips was soaked in oil. The chips were nice. Top price 11e for glass of wine but 2/3star venue. Paid 159 with voucher, supposed to be a saving of 79-99 definitely not.worth 250e for 1 night for 2. Voucher also included main meal only, not even 2 course. Definitely better deals out there.
And this morning we got hair in the breakfast, egg shell and toast so pale it was not toast!
Excellent value for money and a really lovely place to stay. Staff were wonderful and food was great. We will definitely be back.
Friendly staff make you welcome and fantastic Golf Course ⛳
Very pleasant setting. Food okay/ bar menu. Nice, helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. Worth a visit. Narrow, twisty roads to get there. Stay alert !!
We had 3 nights here starting 12th July.
First impressions of outside area was that it needed a powerwash.
The waiter was very attentive .
It's a lovely location in a very built up Swords but the hotel would need to update the bedrooms.
Our mattress was squeaky and so uncomfortable
It was like lying on a hay bale.
The toilet had a smell so we kept spraying perfumes
And kept the window wide open.
Ok,because of covid the fridge was disconnected and the room not cleaned ,the hot tub was off etc but we were not told all this.
Certainly our room needs updated .
Rib eye steak dinners were great as was our brandy
Alexander s..Just please keep up to standards because we would not return to sleep in that bed.
Alexander's.
Very dissappointed in this hotel/country house. Definitely not a 4☆ hotel. Building very old and run down. Outdoor seating not great, space not utilised as it could be for the beautiful scenery around it. My husband and I really looked forward to eventually getting away with another couple but the place was a let down. The photographer who took the pics which are on the website was fantastic as the place is much smaller!!
I asked at the bar for a Bombay Saphire gin to be told "bombay gin can be found in Bombay", I laughed when I went to the outdoor area to see 2 great big Bombag Saphire Gin canopies. Told only one nice Gin glass in the whole hotel!
On a positive note the food was excellent 👌
The men enjoyed the golf.
a very challenging course kept immaculately, staff were very professional and courteous especially Ciaran and Joe, will be glad to play the course again, Jim O'Connell
Fantastic hotel staff are very friendly and helpful the ladie at reception 10⭐ such a warm welcome and we also had some banter highly recommend this hotel
Wonderfully welcoming and friendly hotel, most of the staff were amazing for our 'Special Day' celebrations, we really enjoyed our weekend. Thanks.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was great . Only disappointed there was no lift and I have two dodgy knees and had to use the stairs as our room was on the second floor and we had to carry the luggage up the stairs
Member in Roganstown for a year now. Brilliant course. Every member is extremely welcoming and happy to play with new partners on weekends. Hotel is in prestige condition.
Hosted my family’s annual Memorial golf open on August Bank Holiday weekend. And the club could not have been more supportive.
Unfortunately does not stand up to its stars, could do with a few licks of paint etc.
Spent 2 nights at hotel it was lovely & so relaxing staff are very helpful and polite especially the manager John looked after us very well ,will be goin again soon xxx
Beautiful place always very busy. We mostly go for the childs swimming classes.
Very friendly. Great food. Louise and Aggie on reception very friendly
My wife and I had some business in the area and chose Roganstown Hotel for its convenient location. We booked for two nights and can best describe our experience as perfect. We enjoyed a great room with top quality bed linen, a very generously sized bathroom and felt totally comfortable. We often find that otherwise good hotels fail in terms of quietness later in the evenings, this was definitely not our experience here, we slept like the proverbial logs. The WiFi gave good results all over the property and our breakfast was above average. Our most lasting impression was made by our interaction with all of the staff, who were not just helpful but were very friendly and made us feel welcome. All of this at a time when due to a worldwide health pandemic they could have been expected to be somewhat distracted, but that never affected the generally upbeat atmosphere that was evident all round us. We look forward to staying here again in the future .
I don't want to slate this hotel (the rooms are clean, staff are friendly, grounds are lovely), but I had to take points off for the dismal dinner we had, it was not to the standard I'd expect of a hotel (burnt steaks served with frozen chips!), and it was very expensive when we compared it to the wonderful lunch we'd had in a restaurant in Swords village. Also, there was a weird plastic sheet or something on the bed that was very loud when either of us moved & made an otherwise comfy bed very uncomfortable! Hotel's location is about 10 minutes drive outside Swords main street (€15 in a taxi). The room was inexpensive, 55pp B&B, breakfast was grand if a little uninspired! If I'd paid anymore than the 55 I'd be raging, but as it was it was good value. Just don't bother having dinner there!
Loved it. Was at wedding stayed night. Everything was lovely. Staff cant do enough. Bar food is amazing. Young lad serving drinks etc at wedding was a credit to family as he was just super. Only fault lighting and paintwork very dull. But everything including bedroom could not fault. Bed fab.
Nice pleasant stay, pool is handy size, steam and sauna we're closed so can't comment, food was good
We stayed here for 2 nights and the reason why we picked up this place was due to its close proximity from airport.
The property is really beautiful and gives you a nice vintage feel. Make sure you enjoy the golf course while you are there.
There were couple of incidents that unfortunately happened with us. So when we arrived the hotel which was at midnight we were told that the hotel was overbooked and three other families waiting there in the middle of the night for rooms, but the hotel arranged for us a premium room in another location which was good but we spent quiet sometime shuttling between the places.
Upon our return we again booked the hotel as we wanted to stay there and didn’t get a chance to when we arrived. At this time around we got the room but there were no bellboy service and there are no lifts too to the rooms so we had to literally carry our big suitcases and climb up the room.
When we entered the room ,we were impressed as the room size was bigger than the usual in UK and Ireland but the problem was that we received the towels which had shoe marks and bathrobe with some stains which was disgusting to be honest.
Overall experience the average.
Like many brides and grooms, amid all the covid madness and uncertainty the last few months, our wedding day has had more moving pieces than a chess board. Having had to postpone our big day twice with our original venue, we decided we still wanted to have a very small wedding ceremony and get married on our original date. We had 2 weeks to replan everything. We were so incredibly lucky Roganstown Hotel were available to host 19 of us and our guests in the Green room. We had the room and members bar area to ourselves so it was completely private. Norma and team made our day far more special than we could have hoped for. Food was amazing too and great selection of choice for everyone. Huge thanks and lots of love for Rach and Kev xx
Waiter in bar/restaurant area is fabulous! Very friendly and accommodating. Our flight landed at 8am and we couldn't check I'm until 3pm. Since there were no rooms available the hotel staff let us nap in the bar area. After not sleeping the entire flight from Boston, USA to Montreal, Canada to Dublin, Ireland our nap was greatly appreciated. The reason I marked down one star was because even at 3pm we weren't able to be checked in. We waited another 30 minutes. It was very upsetting after waiting so long. I will note check ins are not until 3pm, It was just frustrating watching several others check in while we waited several hours and then not even on time.
We didn't get a chance to use to the gym but the facility looks great! The pool looks great as well!
There is no air conditioning in the rooms. This is not a shock as we excepted that. My husband and I are warm blooded, Just ask for a fan!
Definitely needs a bit of an update. But a beautiful stay, wonderful staff. The breakfast was a whole experience in itself. The grounds are beautiful and its easily accessible to downtown dublin. The rooms don’t necessarily have alot of plug ins for the needs of the 21st century, but it is an really charming stay. Will definitely look to stay here again in the future
The hotel was located not that far from the Dublin Airport. The driver for the hotel, Gary, was very pleasant and helpful to everyone. He is a nice man. When I arrived at the hotel, the staff were very helpful, my room was lovely and clean, and the restaurant at the hotel that I had dinner at, had delicious food. The next morning, Wendy, from the front desk, was very kind and helped me with a question I had. Both Wendy and Gary are great employees at your hotel. I would definitely return for a stay at Roganstown Hotel & Country Club in the future and highly recommend it.
Had my wedding at Roganstown and I can't think of anywhere that could have made the day more perfect. The staff were amazing so friendly and helpful and the manager that day was even helping with my dress for the photos. The grounds are lovely and the staff even brought us out in golf carts to get some picturesque views around the golf course which was great fun. Food was excellent, they were promoted in serving. We have had the bar food in the past which was good too and good size portions. The hotel it's self was lovely and has a lovely old Georgian entrance and staircase which looks great in pictures. Can not recommend this place enough
Not as good as expected. Not as good as its pricing. We were forgotten about a few times. This was not just by the junior staff, as some of their excuses have been. Two deserts were not what was ordered and knowingly brought to the table with no apology. There were plenty of other little issues. With lots of good options for food in and around Swords we will not be coming here again.
Disappointing. Food just ok. Badky in need of a good clean and upgrade
We had a wonderful time, beautiful place to stay very warm and welcoming
Nice staff who are very helpful. But this hotel is very dated. It's not a 4 star, 3.5 max. Badly in need of modernising. Only reason I chose it was the spa and leisure center. But these also were very dated.
Nice overall. But don't expect luxury.
We just use the swimming pool, great facility. Changing rooms are spacious with plenty of lockers. Car park needs to be improved, no lines means people just park stupidly. The ground is too uneven, not suitable for toddlers.
Excellent venue for meeting, eat and stay over
I was a little disappointed with my stay here. I heard so much about Roganstown I wa very exciting going there. The hotel was beautifully decorated and some of the staff were friendly. Had lunch in the bar. The menu was very limited and when out food came out it was cold and burnt. It was sent back and betters ones came out. The room was fine. The bed was very lumpy and not to hotel comfort standard so I was a little disappointed. I would reconsider before staying here again but I have heard good thing so someone else may have a better experience.
Fantastic pint of Guinness , very comfortable seating and quirky old style lounge layout. I like the rustic feel. Fair prices for both food and drinks. Recommended
First time playing great course and tricky greens a gem
Wasn't that bad but the reception was... Alright but the employees were very nice I must say
The place is a beautiful old world House. A dreadful pitty about the food. I brought a friend for lunch on Wednesday both our main course and dessert were stone cold. To make matters worse my mash potatoes were sitting in a pool of gravy and the gentleman gave my vegetables to my friend. I was back here again in November '19 the food was much improved in fairness to them. Staff were very helpful.
Great golf and lovely bar and food
Easy to find, has parking, nice rooms with good showers. Best part about it is the hostess! Wonderful lady that helped us plan stops along our trip in Ireland. Great stay, highly recommended!
This was our last stay in Ireland.
When one arrives at this location, it is pretty apparent that it is primarily a Country Club that happens to have a hotel attached to it. Due to this, there is significant parking, but the parking for the golfers and the residents at the hotel is the same area. There is no signage for this, so one is left to wonder where to park, and eventually concede to parking in the main lot with the hope of not being parked in the wrong area. It is a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the hotel entrance, which is often bustling with people and vehicles parked in the way of the entrance. Upon entering there is a hallway that leads directly into the "bar" area, a tea room to the right, and the check-in just beyond that on the right. There is only one check-in desk, but there appear to be few people checking in, which makes the process quick.
The rooms here leave a lot to be desired. The bed it stiff, but not terrible. The bathroom is reasonable for what it needs to be. The room is noticeably small. However, all of this could be overlooked if the walls were not paper thin. One can, and will, hear everything going on the surrounding four or five rooms, and certainly everything that echoes down the hallways. This makes everything about these accommodations rather irritating, as it interferes with the overall enjoyment of one's private residence during the stay.
We ate at the restaurant when we first arrived. We sat for about 15 minutes before the manager had to force someone to come our way. (Thank goodness he did, as the waitresses were certainly not going to) Further, the food here is almost outrageously expensive. My wife had a bowl of soup, I had a bowl of soup and the Bang Bang dish, we ordered a cider and beer, and our bill was nearly 70 euros. This would be less of a problem if it was the best food we ever ate, but it was not even close. The soup is a home run and is given in a generous portion. Couple that with the brown bread they serve, and it makes a great meal by itself. The Bang Bang dish is where it went wrong. This is a nearly 20 euro dish that looks and tastes like a microwave meal. There is little to no flavor to the actual meal, just as much pepper / coriander / whatever spice they used to add heat with a bland sauce, bland pasta, bland vegetables, and bland prawns. If one must eat here, order soup and be on your way, or find a local establishment to frequent.
Checkout was a bit baffling as well. Every establishment we have ever stayed at - including the other three we had been to in Ireland - had a quick checkout process. Here, we seemingly checked out with one woman, until she was interrupted by her coworker, who then took over the process. When asked to sign for something my wife had to reach over the desk to use a pen, as I guess we were expected to have our own pen. Then the gentleman proceeded to do a thorough inspection of whatever printed out and was seemingly startled by the fact we hadn't left yet. At that point, he then told us we were good to go. This establishment seems confused, and really demonstrates that it is a Country Club first, a bar second, a restaurant third, and a hotel in dead last.
Overall: 3 / 5
Pros:
- Proximity to Dublin Airport
Cons:
- Attached "restaurant" is extremely pricey with mediocre food
- Staff is lacking in many ways, except the restaurant manager
- Rooms are small and mediocre at best
- Walls are paper thin
It needs a remodel, for sure. Our first room was pretty awful. Super 8 quality, honestly. The carpet was dirty and pulled up in places. I asked the front desk if they could move us and was given one of the very few rooms in the main house, which was a significant step up. Honestly, if you're going to stay here, pony up a little bit for a main house room. It's still cheaper than the other hotels by the airport and in a prettier spot.
We had an excellent lunch in the Restaurant to celebrate our Grand daughters Communion. It was an excellent experience, the food was first class and the service also. The Staff were great and attentive.Thank you for making Carla's day extra special. We will not hesitate to return again.Thank you John and Staff. From the Newman family.👍
We played in late August, the course was in great condition. Some really challenging par 3's and the 11th was one of the best holes I've played all year. Grounds keepers have done a great job. The course itself is long. The staff were also first rate going out of their way to make sure we were accommodated.
Staff very friendly & accommodating. Dinner in restaurant top quality & breakfast plentiful with fresh breads etc. Rooms very clean & spacious. Spa treatments were excellent & staff very professional. Lovely location. Would definitely go back again.
Lovely course great golf but be aware ladies. There ate no public toilets out on the Roganstown course. There's one at yhe back of the hotel car park near the 9th. Be careful crossing back over to the 10th because the golfers are driving up.
What's not to like?! Lovely place, really glamorous, quiet place. Nice staff, very personable and amazing facilities xx must treat my mum to a stay here xx loved it,food, drink, swimming yes, just perfect
Beautiful quiet place to stay. But has a few issues that need to be rectified or else staff need to know the correct facts.
Tried to organise the shuttle bus pick up service two days previous to our arrival to be told there wasn't one available. I said it was on the website that one is available at a cost of €5... The receptionist told me over the phone that when we arrived at the airport, that we would need to call the hotel and they would tell us where to meet the bus and that we couldn't organise one other than that even though all the flight arrival details had been given, very confusing between the website and speaking to the receptionist.
We arrived at 21.25 to be told by the receptionist that food was stopped being served at 21.30. (On the hotel website it states food available until 22.00)
Then when we ordered food from an outside source, we were told the kitchen was open until 22.00. Communication between the reception and kitchen might need to be a little better.
Lovely Hotel, room was cosy and quiet. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was gorgeous as was the breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
Fine dinning by Matt Fuller at Roganstown country club, A fantastic multitude of tasty little meals that pack a tons of flavour with each bite, didn't get a snap of the lamb but was perfectly cooked! Very impressed!
This is an amazing golf course. the people at reception were very friendly and courteous.
Had a great time at roganstown. The hotel is lovely, great bar, friendly staff, comfy rooms. And the golf course is a truly great golfing experience. A perfect place for a stay and play break. Will definitely be back.
My wedding venue. Beautiful hotel
The accommodations are good. The scenery is fantastic. John and Daniela made our short stay wonderful. It is because of them that my girlfriend and I rate Roganston Hotel five stars.
It was friendly and staff welcoming. I would recommend it to my friends and family.
Great staff, very accommodating food was lovely and good size rooms. Golf course looked well kept, but didn't go on it.
We arrived to a very friendly reception staff then went to our room it was spotless all the staff were so friendly couldnt have done enough for us
Nicely sized, comfortable rooms and quick and efficient check-in. Food in the bar was pretty decent and reasonably priced for this sort of venue. Only reason its not 5/5 is the changing rooms for the pool were a little grubby.
Fabulous hotel with excellent staff and Leo the manager went out of his way to help me with organising the Bride & Groom for photographs this was a fabulous gesture and really shows how good of a manager he is. Well done to all the team who look after this place and keep it looking so beautiful.
Enjoyed my time there with excellent staff and a very pleasant atmosphere
We stayed recently as a family and I have to say an excellent hotel to stay in. From the wonderful welcome from the reception , the hard working cleaning staff the service staff at the restaurant and the pool facilities all were excellent and a credit to the hotel.
Great golf and awesome dining experience!
I love the golf courses, and all the staff.
An utterly delightful place to stay for people who like a bit of peace. Country location but a shuttle service is available to Dublin. Everything reasonably priced plus free access to the pool and gym.
Couldn’t recommended Roganstown enough.Thank you for making my daughters communion day so special. Wendy, Ian and the crew thank you so much.
Great course in great condition, we got a great welcome on arrival from the teaching professional Joe Murray which added to the day, Joe is a credit to the club and the PGA
It's a simple clean hotel in a beautiful setting, close to the airport, offers airport shuttle, has great spa and swimming pool, golf course, and their bar food is delicious. Reasonably priced. We loved it!
First time playing here. Lovely parkland course. Great condition everywhere. Helpful staff in pro shop. Will defo return.
Great hotel ideal for exploring Dublin
Both myself and liz had our wedding on 22/6/18 in roganstown hotel and we'd like to say a special thanks to Caroline for all the hard work .the staff showed great professionalism and helped when requested allways with a smile.
We would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to anyone thats looking for that little somthing that makes your day realy special rather than just great.
We can't thank you enough fantastic hotel, THANKS again
Andy and liz.
The staff where very good ref covid19 the hotel was very clean only there for a overnight .played golf with the Cardiff inn well done to all pat rooney
Friendly staff and excellent food
Staff very helpful and friendly golf course very tough but beautiful maybe get a pint there the next time I visit.thank you for lovely day 🙂
Swords Open is very nice course it has really good greens and staff in reception very helpful
Basic looking hotel, we were just there for coffee. Bar was quite old looking n not in a historic way! All a little outdated. The waitress was pleasant, which makes up for a lot!
Well what an amazing experience- I booked my teenage aughter and 2 friends in for a nail treatment - the team in the spa could not have done more to make their experience something they will never forget- they are raving about it and telling all their friends and family about how well they were treated and the friendly professionalism of the team that made their day so special- I too will continue to recommend to all I know - thank you Helen and team- Bob
BRILLIANT stay, staff are doing a great job, friendly, professional and Covid safety in place. Food GORGEOUS, great value for money.
Great grounds nice location.....good breakfast....for 10 usd....get it included.....rent a car and don't worry about driving on the left side of the road....it is easy.
We left our passports in the safe and realised it at the airport....(i left them in the room safe but blamed my wife....lol) anyways....they sent their maintenance guy in like 20 minutes....wow.......saved our trip.....beds ok...need better pillows.....a/c works....will stay again for the price...lovely grounds....
Very good kitchen team, the owner is a lovely man and most of the staff are very friendly and courteous. The head chef is friendly and the sous chef is very talented and genuinely a nice man. I'd tell anyone to visit
Wonderful location, lovely comfortable seating in the bar and a really nice premises, squeaky clean. Food is good and staff exceptional. A favourite for leasurly lunches and afternoon tea.
Nice setting and excellent breakfast but the room was in a bit of disrepair and they had no luggage trolley or assistance. I was travelling with someone in a wheelchair and it was a real issue.
Beautiful room, nice bathroom. The food in the pub was good, breakfast was awesome. Was only there 1 night but it was spot on. Only issue is that it was a bit hard to find.
Elegant old world charm with beautiful grounds and outdoor dining. Ideal for all family events.
Lovely Hotel for a weekend break, staff were very friendly and helpful.
This place had live music and very friendly staff. It was clean but the bed was a little too firm for my taste. There is not any air conditioning in the rooms.
Had our Covid wedding of 25 guests here. Everything went really well and we had a great day.
beautiful hotel very rooms however small things matter such as a packet of complimentary biscuits in the bedrooms, courtesy car to take guests into town and a decent pint of Guinness wouldve given 5* but not quite there yet
Staff and service very good which is a rare thing in this country
Can't wait for it to open again. Lovely hotel, lovely food.
Clean and well maintained. Decent sized room and staff was very friendly. Would stay here again.
Roganstown is a hidden gem, the staff are lovely and the atmosphere is so friendly 😊 stayed overnight recently and everyone working there was just fantastic 🙌
its ok, if you like golf
Stunning country manor house, food is often inadequate, staff are mostly pleasant .
Very relaxing and convenient to the city but still retaining country feel.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Food quality is reasonable but quite disappointed about the breakfast. Slow to replenish and not a tremendous selection.
I've stayed here several times already I can highly recommend this hotel excellent food and courtious professional staff I have always throughly enjoyed my stays here and will return
Nice little spot, not too far from the city but far enough that you're away from the hustle and bustle, nestled away in a countryside setting
The hotel has a good view and a great pool
Very popular golf course.
Lovely golf course great staff very helpful 👍
Nice place stay alout just on the edge of Dublin great location for north of Dublin and the airport .easy to find and good for park . Seem to be a quite place for carparking and safe
Love it will be back again soon. Great staff and food. Rooms are lovely and we'll priced
Golf courses are immaculate buggies sanitised good 2mtr markings and plenty of hand sanitisers.
Nice hotel, its a pity they no longer have their low carbon green status, since they started using fossil gas again instead of woodchip
Staff are exceptional. V friendly and couldn't do enough for our large party. Very happy all round
Lovely small country hotel..Beautiful surroundings. Close proximity to Dublin Airport... If I played golf I'd play here.
Stayed one night prior to an impromptu flight. Rooms and facilities were good. Staff was friendly. Food was good. Guinness was great. Made my night. Thanks!
Here for wedding food average at best . Food rushed in. Staff were quiet rude at times (not floor staff) place looks great. Overall overpriced for average experience
Very friendly staff from the Pro shop right through the Hotel.
Excellent food well worth a visit for a game of golf great course
A tough golf course, but very enjoyable. 🏌️♂️
Great country hotel for golfers and leisure centre...grand old styled building in beautiful setting...good food friendly staff
Was at wedding parking facilities grand but came out and car destroyed in bird poo.have to say also not very impressed with dinner bit tasteless and very small portion no seconds offered.rolls out before soup then soup arrives no rolls ask for more didn't come out until late everyone had soup gone.as for bar prices in drink kept changing everytime you went to bar plus drink wasn't up to usual standard volka/gins certainly didn't taste like they should.
Great golf course very challenging. Good food and a great pint if Guinness...lovely hotel
Lovely Hotel and staff would book again
Good hotel but it is showing its age. However for a meeting place right next to the airport.. it suffices.
Beautiful hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The surrounding scenery is amazing
Loved every minute here. Beautiful place!
Wonderful room! Will stay again.
Beautiful grounds, air conditioning, and a very nice bar. Great place to stay if you Dont mind the drive out of dublin
Second stay with family . Bar food is superb and restaurant is also brill . Staff helpful and eager to please . Good facility's nice room s ask for 201!
Next trip is August looking forward to it two great golf courses on the doorstep.
Accommodations very nice but rooms are dated and wall to wall carpeting is coming up in places. Other than that very comfortable.
Great hotel but when asked for water due to the water issue in Dublin they wouldn't provide
Found golf tough. Full marks to golf and hospitality staff. Enjoyed food apres golf.
Comfortable rooms and plenty of parking. Limited food options most evenings, but there are good choices nearby.
Lovely staff and the food was great and golf course was perfect.
Well looked after by great staff. Dropped a star for an annoying buzzing noise in the room
Lovely staff and surroundings, refurbished rooms are really nice but overall, it could do with a refresh...

This is a beautiful hotel. But the bar service is a disaster for drinks.not enough qualified staff.
A very typical hotel and country club with a very nice resturant which is very casual and laid back.
Best hotel for the buck in and around Dublin airport. Excellent Irish breakfast
Nice place to stay if you're a Golfer or if using airport but eat elsewhere

It's an ok place. Old style. Just needed a good short night's sleep and got just that. Quiet place.
Room is clean. Bed comfortable.
Room lights are all very bright and could use dimmers.
Small stuff - Speakers for background music in bar/restaurant are terrible! Very crackly and just annoying. Ambiance would be great if this is fixed.
Not a deal breaker. Have stayed here a few times.
