Simon was great to deal with. He laid out a clear roadmap to my recovery and explained all the targets I needed to hit to progress back to sport. Exercises and rehab routine were delivered through a partner app with accompanying videos that made it very easy to track and complete. The staff/physios in LWF were always prompt in answering any queries by email or phone, whether it was to do with appointments or general questions on exercises. Would highly recommend

I attended LWF physiotherapy from July to December of 2021,( I had a number of issues, neck, back, shoulder, thumb….) Simon was amazing, his diagnosis and treatments spot on and his dry needling beyond my expectations ! Really, it has to be experienced to be believed and I was seriously sceptical before hand.

Meeting Laura, and finding LWF physiotherapy has changed my life. I came to Laura in my post partum, following a tough first birth and an emergency c section. On my first visit I was so vulnerable, and worried. But Laura and the team made me feel so comfortable, and motivated. Fast forward 8 months and I am a completely different person. So much more comfortable, and confident in my body and its capabilities. My concerns are fully addressed and I have an arsenal of exercises and techniques to support my continued improvement. Went to LWF with a shoulder and knee injury from triathlons. Was so impressed with the service provided over the last few months. After an initial thorough assessment a few contributing issues were identified. A comprehensive rehabilitation plan was devised and worked through over the months with support and training from the physios. I'm back running and swimming and couldn't be happier. I can't recommend LWF and in particular Jon Faulkner enough. The service was truely beyond my expectations.

LWF Physiotherapy have been truly amazing helping with my recovery. The women’s health physios, Laura and Anne Marie are superb and are extremely knowledgeable and competent. I always feel like I am in the best hands. They have coached me through extensive Clinical Pilates rehab and without them I would not be where I am today. For the past 4 months I have had weekly 121 Pilates classes at LWF Physio and I highly recommend them.
The studio is wonderfully equipped & beautifully presented so it’s a pleasure to be there.

I have just completed 5 months of treatment with Jon from LWF Physiotherapy in Maynooth. After more than 6 years suffering with muscle pain in my ribs that would cripple me for days when it flared and getting the odd treatment from a Physical Therapist during flare ups but never fully getting it sorted, I was recommended Jon! I could not recommend Jon and the team more highly. In my case I was post back-surgery so needed to be very particular about who I chose to be my physio for after care. For anyone reading this, the excellent reviews of LWF here are very accurate. Jon explained in detail what was actually done during my surgery and what issues have arisen afterwards that need to be addressed. I was getting my information from the internet up to that point so to say it was relief to speak with Jon was an understatement. I only wish I had this quality intervention earlier - I wouldn't have been so anxious in my initial recovery period. Also its worth adding that the setup in this clinic is top class and LWF have really embraced technology making engagement with the exercises etc. much easier (and more likely in my case). I was having pretty bad pelvic girdle pain in my pregnancy and booked an appointment with Anna Marie. She spent a long time giving me strengthening exercises and advising me on what to avoid doing with the hope that things would improve. I can say that a few weeks later after following all the advice and continuing with it I am now completely pain free. For anyone struggling with pelvic girdle pain in pregnancy I would advise going to see Anna Marie immediately. Incredible service!

I have attended LWF Physiotherapy on and off over the last 14months. Most recently while training for this years DC Marathon I developed a hamstring and calf injury which had me side-lined from training. I booked an appointment with Jon at LWF and after a few treatments my injury started to improve and I was able to get back training. Jon and Laura(I have been treated by both) have a wealth of experience and knowledge and I would highly recommend them. My diagnosis was extremely thorough and accurate and I have no doubt my recovery and return to running was primarily down to the treatment I received. I particularly like the Physio app the tracks and reminds me of my recovery/exercise program.

I attend LWF Mother and baby Pilates. This is a wonderful class for new moms, I cannot recommend Laura and her team enough.
Not only is it fantastic to be able to get out and attend a fantastic Pilates class with an excellent teacher but to be able to bring your baby along and attend to them when needed is fantastic.
Laura is just wonderful at explaining things in lay mans terms and teaching the correct way to perform all exercises. Building yourself back up after having a baby is difficult but with Laura helping and encouraging you to practice the right techniques for the right time in your recovery is priceless .
I hope to continue with Laura’s Pilate classes after we out grow the mother and baby classes.

I attended Jon recently with a recurring back injury that had flared up again. He was extremely thorough in trying to understand the root of the problem and also gave me great comfort in various exercises he asked me to complete that proved my back was stronger than I thought! He also understood the importance of me getting back to running and set out a programme for me to ensure that I could do that safely. Having attended Laura for physio pre- and post-natally and both Laura and Jon for injury treatment, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them both. They are highly professional and the level of care provided is excellent. I first attended Jon last September with back problems he referred me for an MRI which confirmed his opinion that I needed urgent back surgery, following my surgery in early October my consultant referred me back to Jon and with his help I am now back to full strength. The exercise program he gave me was very easy to follow and as he sends a different set daily it is never boring.

I attended LWF Physiotherapy for four sessions between April and June with an elbow issue. Jon was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He explained everything very clearly and gave me a practical, easy to follow exercise program which has made a vast improvement. The pain is almost completely gone and my arm is stronger. Laura's pilates classes are the best ones i have ever attended. There are also 2 other teachers and doesn't matter what class you attend, there is a consistency from class to class and all of them are very professional. All exercises are explained at different levels so you can do each exercise at the level that you feel more comfortable. The groups are small so the teacher can correct your posture (if you need it). I highly recommend this classes.

I would highly recommend Jon and LWF Physiotherapy. I have been attending Jon over the past 2 years and each time he has helped me recover quickly from injury, with minimal downtime but also getting to the root of the problem and finding out why injury may have happened. He sets out a strength and conditioning program so that the injury is less likely to reoccur.
Jon has so much knowledge of sprinting in particular, he is definitely my go to person.

I've attended two terms of Antenatal Pilates with Laura and can't recommend them highly enough. I've attend other antenatal classes previously...also run by physiotherapists but Laura's is by far the best. The exercises are varied and interesting and can adapted if you need it. Laura is also a wealth of knowledge about antenatal and post natal issues and shares this at the classes.
I feel far better prepared for labour & beyond after attending the Antenatal Pilates classes at lwf.

Both Jon and Laura have helped me through several sore issues with expertise. Setting goals and hands on physio and exercise programs have been very successful with treating my sore foot/ leg. More specifically they really listen to your symptoms and pain, to help design a program relevant to you, the day you show up. Listening is a rare skill in the medical profession at the moment.

Jon is an excellent physio who provided me with top class advice to rehabilitate after injuring my knee and avoid having key hole surgery. Not only is my knee fine now but with the strengthening exercise program all available on an app that I got a password to and additionally the bounding exercises in preparation for going back running I feel that it is less likely to reoccur now that my hip flexer and gluts are much stronger than before I started on the program. Verdict: Definetely worth my while going to LWF Physiotherapy!

I came to see Jon in the grim state of mind from lack of sleep and pain due to completely “frozen” neck and shoulder with horrible pain on top ☹
The first session lasted close to an hour, where Jon assessed my problem, explained why, how and what to do.
Treatment included manual adjustment like massage and dry needling and exercises to strengthen the muscle and advise how to avoid the same issue in the future.
The result was almost immediate, pain relief in the muscle and some movement in my neck and most importantly proper sleep in a week!
5 visits later and I am absolutely back to normal, Highly recommended.

Absolutely love Laura's approach to pre-natal fitness. I attended the pre-natal Pilates and for some 1 on 1 pre-natal physio. I thoroughly enjoyed the Pilates - you can push yourself in a safe environment and Laura ends each session with a no-nonsense chat about a pregnancy related topic. I found these chats brilliant - and they meant I was well informed by the time I started my ante-natal classes. I suffered a shoulder injury at work that caused damage to my AC joint. After resting up for a month I found my movement and strength to be extremely limited. I needed to get back to full health for work. With Jon's help I am back at 95% compared to my other shoulder. He explained my injury in plain English, was able to give me a timeline for recovery and an easy to follow phyiso plan. The use of a phone app kept me up to date with what exercises I had to do and when. Each phyiso session I could see the improvements I was making. Great service, highly recommended.

My name is Joseph Harding and I have been a patient of Jon’s since March 2010. I was born with spina bifida myelomeningocele and have had several very serious operations including neurosurgery and total reconstruction of my right foot. Owing to these operations I have remained out a wheelchair but have significant ongoing difficulties and developed severe chronic pain just before meeting Jon.
At that time I met Jon I had recently returned to work having missed 4 months with back pain, I was in 3 days per week but I was really struggling. No matter what I did I was in complete agony, it hurt to hug someone, I couldn’t tie my own shoelaces, and I had great difficulty sleeping. I used to look forward to getting what sleep I could because that was my only escape from the pain. I was grey with pain, I was rock bottom. I had been to a few physios in the clinic where Jon worked and they did their best but they weren’t really able for me. To be honest they had a terrified look when they saw me, they were afraid of me, in my opinion, because they just weren’t able for me.
I was going to the gym there once a week when one staff member left and Jon took over. The night I met Jon was when my life started to change. He knew right away what to do with me, and the first time I met him he got me doing a few simple exercises that got my mobility a bit better. It was a long road and I had some help in the Tallaght Pain Clinic and along with Jon’s help I greatly improved over the years. When I was discharged from the pain clinic they told me when they first met me they thought they were going to have to admit me to hospital. I am certain that without Jon’s help that’s what would have happened.
I have met an awful lot of excellent and sometimes eminent healthcare of
professionals in my lifetime, and I can honestly say that Jon is one of the best healthcare professionals I have ever encountered. Some have examined me physically and have been amazed at the progress I have made under Jon, whom I consider to be the only ‘forensic physiotherapist’ I have encountered. Moreover, particularly in the early days, Jon went above and beyond the call of duty to help me, where he’d often be with me until 9.45 pm at night after the clinic had closed.
Jon is an exceptionally gifted and talented physiotherapist who’s greatest weakness is also his greatest strength: he doesn’t realise how good he actually is. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that Jon is capable of working at the most elite levels in his profession, there is no organisation he is not capable of working for, and any place he works are very lucky to have him.
I just want to thank you Jon for everything you've done for me, you’ve really helped change my life. it is an honour working with and knowing you.
Jon is a credit to his profession and I highly recommend him to anybody.
