Excellent Italian restaurant, where you eat very well. The dishes are very well arranged, the place is very cozy and the employees are very attentive. Absolutely recommend!

Al Muretto, one of a kind. We immediately noticed that the restaurant complies with the current Covid regulations and health measures respecting the social security distance between the tables and wearing masks. This is the real Italian restaurant, a little pearl of Castlebar, known by many and renowned by all. We tried a little bit of everything, from appetizers to desserts to coffee. Excellent quality, fantastic presentation of the dishes on the table, congratulations to everyone, thanks for being there guys !!!

The food was nice. It's good atmosphere there too. We use do go there with friends from time to time. The taste of dishes was a bit less tasteful as usual but I won't complain. The Staff is very nice and friendly. Keep up good work.

Got garlic cream wings, carbonara, prawn ravioli, tiramisu, and the pancake/ice cream desert and each dish was outstanding! The pancake/ice cream desert was basically an enchilada made from crepes, ice cream, and caramel/chocolate sauce and it might be the best thing I’ve ever eaten!

Had a fabulous meal there on sat night. Staff are very professional and helpful. When we got there they had put us on a table up the front but felt it would be to cramped I asked if we could be moved to which there was no problem. The only downside was there was a very large group of people who were very loud and it spoilt the atmosphere think they though they were the only ones dining. But will still go again as food is excellent

Partner & I just ate here tonight. Prices are very reasonable. Penne Pollo Broccoli is delicious. Partner had the Pepperoni pizza. Side of roast potatoes. Cheesecake and White Mousse desserts were amazing!!! Only thing is that when seated, we kind of got forgotten about to get our main & dessert order taken. Lot of trying to get somebody's attention went on so that we could order. Coffee order I had to chase up after aswell.

We were only staying in Co Mayo for 2 nights and after our first visit here, we had to go back the following evening aswell 😍 the food is wonderful: fresh, very tasty, very well cooked & authentic. The genuine hospitality was wonderful and also I have difficulty eating out because I have an allergy to sugar and the waiter could not have been more helpful, recommending choices and checking the ingredients for me with the chef and all without any fuss all. I felt so welcomed there and I had no anxiety about any sugar ingredients in sauces etc. We will definitely go back if we're eating out anywhere near Castlebar! Fabulous dining experience 😀

Quite simply the best pizza in Castlebar. The service is excellent. It has nice ambience and it feels like a little piece of Italy. Ideal for smaller groups or office lunches. There is good options on the menu. Desserts never disappoint either. Good value, a little more expensive in the evening.

It has long been the opinion of the United nations that the best Italian food to be had in the world is in Ireland . And it has long been heald by the most learned of men that the best Italian restaurants in Ireland are in the country of Mayo. And it is argued strongly by the most intelligent of women in all of Ireland and accepted by all that the best Italian restaurants in Mayo are located in the town of Castlebar. It is the opinion of this reviewer that Al Muretto is by far the best Italian restaurant in the Castlebar area and by extension the world. Located close to the constituency office of the former leader of the 26 counties state, he who lead us out of recession and attempted to charge the Irish people for water the cheek of him, AL Muretto is a friendly family place where they offer to put pepper on your food, explain the menu and help you put your jacket on your back. As someone who has a minor disability with their arm the latter was very much appreciated. AL Muretto score highly on the small and the big points. How the food is presented, the ambience, the taste, the smells, the sence of time becoming non existent as a first time visitor walks away feeling like an old friend.

The pizzas are just OK and expensive (€16 for 4 cheeses). The room is noisy and lacks charm. You have to pay for tap water: €1! When paying by credit card, the digital keyboard screen asked us whether or not we wanted to leave a tip: unacceptable!!

I have to admit, I don't like to eat Italian food very often because I think pasta is too heavy in your stomach afterwards. So, I generally get pizzas in them and I had a really good one here after a good Dubs win against Mayo. They have a wide choice in the menu and the staff also take care of you as they were very helpful in explaining what kind of food they have.
