M. C.Myself & my daughter spent two nights of mid term break here. What a beautiful autumnal break in stunning woodland surroundings. We ate delicious organic food, we went for a trail ride, did woodwork, arts & crafts. We walked through the enchanted forest. We relaxed & read books. Esther & her team have created a gem in the west of Ireland here. We will visit again.
E. P.Our adult riding holiday at Slieve Aughty Centre and food at the Organic Kitchen and accommodation at the eco lodge/cabin was an excellent week at a special place with friendly staff and gentle horses.
The horses are calm and forgiving of beginners. The different instructors on different days focused their teaching on different areas so every day we were learning new things (including riding without a saddle, and horseback archery).
Despite the weather forecast for early October being rain rain rain, most of the time it was only light rain and didn't last long.
I. C.Slieve Aughty is a fabulous hotel. We had a hen party of 10 here, and were so well taken care of by Esther and her team. The food is gorgeous and fresh, the enchanted forest is a beautiful walk, and the although we didn't partake in the horse riding, we had a walk around the stables.
The rooms are clean, well decorated, and very comfortable!
V. S.Went there for my office Christmas party. The place was average, nothing much to do. although the Santa programme that they organised was good for kids..
c.Omg what an amazing place..pure heaven . We had a fantastic lunch yesterday..beautiful fresh food and a lovely list of choices..this is one of the nicest places on earth and a must visit for all..surrounded by woods and enchanting echo houses and huts. There's ponies galore and it's every child real life most favourite storybook setting.i can't praise it enough. The staff are priceless and there's so much to see. The gardens, wild flowers,fire side pizza nights on Friday,craft making,pony rides,oink the pig and so so much more .I can't wait to go back. A gem in the county of galway.

Paradise for Horses and Horsmanship enthusiast. When vist go straight to reception desk or bar and book trot fot kids and horseriding tuition for you and or hite horse and ride through scenic forest route. Nothing better in Ireland. The best riding experience ever!
S. M.Beautiful location with lots of natural surroundings to explore. Great pizza. Adjust your pace when u get here to experience it....u may need.to chill and relax to get there .. Camping facilities were very lovely. Kids had an absolute ball

N. G.We enjoyed a visit to Slieve Aughty Centre over our Christmas holidays. Four of us went for a pony trek through the forest with a very good guide. The horses were well looked after and very suitable for inexperienced riders.
Three of us followed behind and appreciated the same route. All the tracks were accessible. Some of the route was on very quiet public roads.
Nice coffee and hot chocolate in the Three Towers Restaurant afterwards. Always good after an outing.

Was seriously depressed on our return home and just wanted to go back there immediately. Can't wait to go back next year. Can't wait! It's a paradise for kids and parents. Horse rides and lessons, archery, fairy trail, stunning walks, take a donkey for a picnic or a walk, nice playground. Safe for kids to run around. Stunning views. Beautiful campers kitchen, oven hob, sink, fridge, showers and toilets. Amazing restaurant. Make sure to at least book a breakfast there. It's an experience on its own. LOVE THE PLACE ❤️

S. M.Great place to go with kids. We celebrated my brother's birthday in a chilled out, safe socially distanced environment. We had the freshest pizzas cooked under our eyes, fresh air, saw some animals and played in the playground there.

M. L.We have just come back from this amazing place. Everything there is delightful: eco form for everything, contact with nature, peace, trust, smile, horses, dogs, food, forests, smell, pizza, playroom, playground, piggy, houses woven into the area, garden, window in the room to yoga, people, happiness. Children are fully satisfied, never bored and we were relaxed, because they were safe and happy. You come back to such places and cry when you have to leave. Thank you that we could be a part of this amazing adventure, we will come back for sure :)

A. K.Beautiful rural resort had the feeling we where in a different country.
We stayed in the mini lodge which was very cosy. We went full board breakfast was different than our normal but so delicious and healthy porridge, fresh bread, ham, avocado, tomato and pancakes or eggs. We got a picnic lunch to bring out with us and could not finish it we got so much. Dinner there was no option but it was beautiful with fresh salads my kids disnt like the option so they got a homemade pizza from the fire pit.
All staff are friendly and work very very hard it's a family buisness and you feel a bit like your in your granny's kitchen with Esther serving you up good foods. Sharon in the bar was very friendly we chilled out with a bottle of wine while kids floated around with ease. The horse riding was brilliant for the kids and they could constantly go to the stables to see the horses which they did.
Overall it's an escape from the norm kind of like a retreat feeling the sound of silence just makes you relax.
10 minute drive from Loughrea which is a brilliant lake if you want to swim or do watersports very safe with life guard on duty .
M. F.Was there with a group of about 25 Sunday evening had a great evening outside pizza oven brilliant freshly made pizzas with a good selection of toppings . Setting is beautiful would really recommend for families with young children or a quiet weekend away great walking routes through the forest .

K. &. E. B.Loved it. Stunning views, friendly staff. We rocked up in our camper, realising our mistake when we spoke to the receptionist on the phone en route. Turned up anyway.
They don't usually take camper vans but still have us a warm welcome, showed us where to park, gave us a tour of their site, etc. There's a small playground for kids, campfire, tent camping, toilet and showers for campers as well as a campers kitchen. There is also an on site organic restaurant, which we didn't get to sample this time. Kids and hubby went horse riding the following morning in the nearby forest. Idyllic.
A. v. R.I've been to Slieve Aughty Centre for three weeks. I was on a working holiday and had the most amazing time ever! It was the first time I travelled all by myself, and I was so happy to be welcomed so nicely! The people are very friendly, and I felt at home within a day. The horses are very well trained, there were sensitive and very responsive, I really enjoyed riding them! There are a lot of different horses, for beginners but also a little more challenging ones. The riding lessons and cross-country lessons I had were wonderful! I learned more than I expected and Marie, who gave the lessons, was always in a good mood and it was so nice to have worked with here. Also, the other staff were very kind, everyone tried to make it work. It was really teamwork, I liked working there for sure! Also the forest is beautiful, it is big too! You can go for a day tour and haven't seen it all. However, you won't get lost, it is easy to find your way. The perfect location!
A. P.This is a beautiful place, a little unusual in the sense of a modern exterior and an eclectic interior. The food is amazing and I loved the fact that breakfast, lunch and dinner are included and there is a time for each of them with a lovely buffet selection of fresh and delicious food, the best carrot cake ever but also the best salad dressing and more stars to the food show. G.Went there the 3rd year in row and what can I say: IT WAS LOVELY AGAIN!!! The cottage was just about right for our family of 6! Had all you need with a great basket of fruits for welcome! Didn't need the kitchen because we had full board but it was nice, having a refrigerator especially during that unusual sunny weather. Full board was delicious. Lots of food comes from their own garden. The rest is organic. Couldn't believe that all of my kids ate it and loved it! We adopted some of it for our home 😉! If you need more than coffee, water and tea there's a list of trust for lots of other drinks. Horses fit every family member, were kind and well educated. We tried cross country the first time and got addicted! Marie is the best teacher you can imagine ... always in a good mood, still teaching hard enough to improve and always a smile in her face! Very special are the pizza nights where you can make your own pizza in a stone stove outside. Also available are a few music instruments ... just perfect for a little music session ... board and card games ... and books ... fun to read them in Dutch 😂! Our son took part in the english lesson available. They practiced lots of conversations. At the end he was able to make his wishes clear to everyone! It's a good place to meet people from all over the world ... even though it's a bit crowded in the summer time! Nothing is left behind ... We were just missing the english speaking table 😉!!! We will definitely come back 👍!

H. M. B.I love the hotel. It is a beautiful design, and there's plenty to do; with organic food available. It's also great value for money. Only been a few times, but I loved it and so did my son. Would highly recommend for a break from society and to just relax and get some you time.

P. M.We went for a children's party. We were initially disappointed at the activities and ponies that had been included in the package. We discussed it with the staff and firmly believe it was a genuine misunderstanding at time of booking. What was incredibly impressive was the way the team turned it around and went above and beyond to more than resolve the situation. This I found to be very impressive.
Apart from that, it is a very very impressive facility... It includes accomodation (which I did not see) but also a really nice restaurant, various horse and pony areas, outdoor playground, etc.
Overall would very highly recommend
