Average. We ordered from their Christmas menu. Our starters and desserts were well presented and tasty (hard to get wrong). Our entrees were average for pub restaurant food (I had duck, my partner had sea bass). My red cabbage was very greasy and tasted like beef. It was served with beef au jus too. The sea bass cooked perfectly but served over veg that was swimming in about 15mm of butter. Service was good. Will not return.

Gorgeous meal, really good quality and good value for money. huge choice on menu, nice staff _ quick, helpful and courteous.. we were outdoors . some of the awnings leaking a little. this outdoor area needs overhaul and heater etc but that doesn't take from the great quality of service.

Lovely food and a great service. We went with chicken wings for a starter and a steak for a main. The wings were one of the best ones we had in Cork. Super juicy, tender and full of flavour. The spice on them was just right. The steaks were very perfectly cooked to order. Definitely a place to be back.

I was at The Brook Inn on Saturday for lunch and it was excellent, the food was delicious with plenty to choose from on the menu and the staff were very friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for good reasonably priced food then it’s definitely worth a visit!

A fantastic experience was had by all. We organised a table for 10 including one child. The customer service was the best we've experienced in a long time. Nothing was a bother or too much trouble. My mum asked for prawns and a side salad as a main dish. The chef accommodated and produced the most succulent flavoursome dish so much so I think we all wish we had ordered the same. On a personal note I would highly recommend the leopards leap Cabernet Sauvignon red wine which accompanied the fantastic steak and lamb.

We booked for 5.30 pm on the 31st of Dec, so I was expecting that it would be busy. But it was really quiet. After ordering, I got soup that was really lovely. I was eating the last of my bread and soup when my plates and bowls were taken. Next, I ordered steak medium rear. It came out well done, although it was OK, it wasn't what I had ordered. Lastly, I had the pavlova... this really was a JOKE..... IT WAS A MERINGUE from lidl !!! With cream and strawberries. I'm not one for complaining, but for God's sake ......

The food was lovely the staff did their best under immense pressure it was very busy on the day. It is a great place for nice food. I would reccomend people to get the 3 course meal because the dinner is not very big. Besides the dinners being small in quantity they stopped showing the menu. It would be great if they could bring back the menu on paper. Especially during peak hours because we know restaurants can be noisy which makes hearing staff members difficult to hear when they tell about the menu. Other than that the Brook was a great place for family dinner or couples. The place is very clean. There is 3 or 4 pretty female staff working here. Incase some silly guys on a road trip looking to chance there arm with a lady.

Third or fourth time there. As per usual, got the wings - highly recommend. Also as a Gluten Intolerant person I found staff highly helpful regards the queries I had. So far have had the Lamb, Fillet Steak and this time the SeaBass ... all delicious. Couldn't pick a favourite!!! Lovely place, great food, helpful polite staff.

Went for lunch today. Absolutely beautiful food. Mashed potatoes were to die for as was the salmon. More veg would have been welcome. Also think a little more re vegetarians on a Sunday. All that was available when asked for was pasta. Lovely but choice would be great

Hi all , I have just had a meal from the brook inn and felt I should review it while it's fresh in my mind , I did not like this place at all , I loved it , the food here is amazing , my partner is from cork and I am from co limerick , this was my third visit here and the best so far , from the beginning to the end you are made feel very welcome by the staff , all so pleasnt and professional , we had the ham hock teraine and the crispy rosti potato cake to start , two totally different dishes , but both very good , the potato cake was fluffy , flamorsim and so perfectly crispy , the teraine was so delicate , light, and infused with explosive ingredients , we both went for the 10oz steak for mains and omg , they did not disappoint , both cooked to perfection , accompanied with mushrooms,onions, triple cooked chips , celeriac puree and a choice of garlic butter or peppercorn sauce , both steaks we're like butter , so tender and full of flavor , to finish we had the old reliables , a selection of ice creams and my favorite , a good old trifle , I always figured that the trifle you had at home was the best , but I have to admit it has serious competition , people Will say it's only a trifle , but not everyone can make it , as full as I was , I was not leaving this behind , it was the first time I had strawberries in it and they were lovely , so my complements to front house and big thanks to the chef , well done sir or madam , brilliant job , so folks if you are ever coming from the direction of limerick Dublin Tipperary or even a part of cork , check it out , it's the brook inn near glanmire , it will not disappoint and you will want to come back again.

Had lunch after 2 in the Brook Inn and happy to say everything we had was still as fresh and moist as what early lunchs were. It's probably a euro or two more than some Places but God was it worth it. The dishes we choose were bursting with flavours and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this peaceful setting to anyone without hesitation.

Nice venue very Christmassy, waiting staff spent most of their time walking around chatting and staring beyond customers trying to get their attention. Food was a mixed bag. Goats cheese starter was tasty, monkfish was very oily, chicken salad was a bit of a shake and bake effort. Possett dessert was very nice. Overall pretty average. I would stick to less complicated dishes for a main course e.g. burger or fish and chips.

Beautifully appointed bar/ restaurant with an excellent menu, great food and good service. It is 6 miles east of Cork city centre near the village of Riverstown. Staff are very friendly, nice wine menu too. If you are local, easy to walk to and avoid the local Gardaí after a few glasses of vino, or even more.
