The Roundy is one of Cork's famous pubs.This place is an icon in Cork City. The bar has a great atmosphere and the staff are very attentive! It is a uniquely shaped building with curved windows and leather couches that hug the curved interior wall that lend themselves to the "Roundy's" name. Its a great bar to have a drink with friends, be it for a quiet night or a place to start your night out. The music is played at the right level as it’s not overwhelmingly loud to the point where you can’t have a good conversation and hangout. There is a wide outdoor seating area to enjoy the outside during dry and warmer days and there is two level to the bar with plenty of room indoors. The bar has an upstairs area which offers live music. One time, I was at the Roundy with 3 friends and the bar man suggested to us to go upstairs and grab a table before the Jazz Festival started. It really made our nigth being able to sit down and instead of walking from pub to pub. We were there too early for that to start, and couldn’t get in, so I can’t comment on that aspect of the venue The bar can be a bit overcrowded at times but I highly recommend stoping by and checking this unique.

This place is an icon in the city of Cork. It closed for a bit during the pandemic but It is open now and it has a wide outdoor space if you prefer sitting outside during dry and warmer days. I usually go for a break with friends in the weekend. It may be a bit overcrowded sometimes, in the weekends

Inside and out The Roundy is a hip, easy going pub. While their pint selection is lacking, they make up for it in atmosphere and service.

The Roundy is a uniquely shaped building with awesome window views of what’s going on out in the wild and crazy streets of Cork (OK, I kid - it’s really not that wild and crazy in Cork - but the views from street level are great). Not only is it a good place to enjoy a pint, but it’s also a good location for a cup of coffee and chilling with friends during the day (or late into the evening). It really seems more like a comfortable lounge than a bar. Nice leather couches circle the walls with plenty of table space to hang out and converse with groups. Cool Mo-Town style music from the 60’s is piped in over the speakers, but it’s not overwhelmingly loud as to where you can’t have a good conversation and hangout. They have an upstairs area that offers live music or comedy on a rotating basis. We were there too early for that to start, and couldn’t get in, so I can’t comment on that aspect of the venue. Five stars for this place if we didn’t have to walk through the crowd of smokers on the sidewalk patio before entering the front door. Minus half a star for that, so this is actually a 4.5 star joint. Love it, and really enjoyed it! If I had to describe this place in one word, it would be "CHILL".

A bit away from the city centre but worth the trip. Who knew the importance of butter to this nation. Decent displays with short initial video. Plenty of artefacts, with notes and informative wallboards. Perhaps not for the under 16's.

Great spot for a night out. Great atmosphere and the staff are sound. Music downstairs is great and there's a club upstairs that has bands and Djs. Drinks aren't too expensive and service is very fast. Would definitely recommend it for a few pints on your night out.

Metropolitan bar with an international crowd set in the middle of Cork city. My home away from home. Delicious pints of Beamish and Murphy's to be had onsite. Love people watching and evedropping on the 5 plus languages spoken at this mixing spot. Great sushii place across the street. Who says Porter and sushi don't mix? Not me...

Because of COVID-19 restrictions No seating inside of bars! So only reason I gave it 3 star instead of 4 star! Was have to sit outside in October weather which was windy and Cold! Good staff kept tables and chairs clean and Sanitized. Masks on Masks off! Normally would be nice place to meet someone have a Social drink. Wide range of Alcoholic beverages and Hot and cold drinks too! Heated outdoor seating areas but only 15 people max! Wish this Virus would Disappear!

Few weeks ago I visited Cork with my husband. We were really hyped because we heard that you can play board games in this bar,. but excitement faded away when we found out how this is once or twice a week thing, on Saturday/Sunday and we were there for a few days in the middle of the week.. So for all of you who are headed there without previous preparation, if you want to play some board games, go there during the weekend.

Saw some fun comedy shows. Shame about the small crowd giving trans-phobic scenarios to the improv group (and a bigger shame the group said "OK" and went with it) but I never imagined Cork city would be the most progressive town in Europe.

You can't get much for a fiver these days. A pint...Ok. A halfway decent burger...Sure. An entire night of comedy? Seriously? They aren't kidding.. well, they are. But the "all you can laugh at for a fiver" part is true. For the last few years the Snatch Comedy Improv troop had been one of Corks worst kept secrets, nurturing the best local comedy talent and showcasing their skills. Some of them have gone on to become legends in their own lunchtimes...stealing the scene in TV shows. For Cork's answer to Whose Line is it Anyway, seize the day and check out Snatch Comedy Improv at the Roundy on Tuesday at 9pm

Fantastic place to have a coffee or a beer in the heart of Cork. It is one of those that opens late every day of the week (until 11:00 p.m. on weekdays) and has a wonderful little terrace with heaters. Typical place where you want to stop. If you are Spanish you will be able to discover to your surprise that flags from... northern Spain hang from the façade! Galicia, Asturias... the owner is a lover of our Cantabrian coast.
