Nice pub, traditional, good selection of drinks and decent food. Not expensive either.

I went with a big group and everyone agreed the food is excellent. Even when I asked for the roast of the day, without the roast, they let me replace it with falafel and gave a big portion. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We went to Palmerstown House after a month's memory Mass. We were welcomed by wonderful friendly staff. They had prepared soup and the tastiest sandwiches I have ever had followed by tea and apple tart. The whole experience was lovely and I would highly recommend this place.

My bf had the tower burger and said it was very good. He also had the chicken wings, but wasn’t impressed. I had the bruschetta and the bread wasn’t toasted. The vegetable soup was the only vegetarian option as main, and it wasn’t that great either. It’s a nice place to sit down and have a few pints, but not the best place to eat. We went on a Sunday and they looked understaffed.

We really enjoyed the food there. Staff was very kind. There is also a menu for kids which includes an ice cream and the drink. One of my children tried the chicken and curry dish. He liked a lot. This was 7.50. They usually offer a soup of the day. We tried leek and potatoes and we thought it was delicious! The soup was nicely served together with bread and butter. The soups were 4.50 each. There were pies, which depending on the day change, but we were really stuff after eating all that food. If we go back to Palmerston, we will definitely have lunch there again.

What a lovely pub, great drinks, (good creamy pint of Guinness) great food, spotless clean loos and lovely atmosphere. The staff were very pleasant and efficient too. The function room is a great little spot for holding all types of party's and the resident DJ is excellent. All in all, a great experience. Would definitely recommend.

First Tuesday evening open after Covid. We got a table for two without needing to book. There is a one way system in and out, all regulations adhered to. The staff wore face guards and everything was clean. Our order was taken and delivered promptly to the table. The food was good pub fare. Miso chilli salmon with veg and crispy chicken burger. Nice return meal. The staff were attentive and friendly and we were able to pay up and leave without hanging around waiting. Only minus was the understandable lack of atmosphere . Maybe soon.

We stopped in, after getting into town, looking for a close bite and a pint. The service from Brenda, Meghan and team was amazing. My parents both got the stone cooked steaks. WOW. So impressive. We were here last Sunday. A large family group of mixed ages for a birthday celebration. We were so well looked after. The service and attention was great. The food was gorgeous. We came here on a sunday evening.It took 20 mins for someone to take our order, after they took an order from a table in after us.one of our party asked for wings and chips as a main course..15 minutes later the wings came out, she said to the server sorry I ordered these as a main course and he interrupted her and said oh yes the rest of the food is coming..but 20 minutes later after she had eaten her wings and no chips our food came out. No communication at all and 4 different people served us.

Generally great but the service can be a bit slow at times. Maybe the team aren't keeping an eye on what tables need menus, need to have orders taken etc. There's lots of different seating areas, some of which are quiet and not immediately visible, so can be overlooked also sometimes.

This is a truly traditional Irish restaurant that has character and soul that you don’t find in the heart of the city. The food here is amazing..., or should I say AWESOME!!!! the service is traditional Irish so you do need to make yourself knows and ask for a waiter as they walk by. You will stuff your belly in this place. Early bird special, get there before half 6 on the week day or get in on a the Sunday roast. CHEESECAKE

COULD NOT FAULT IN ANY WAY. Had the most fresh and filling Sunday Roast on New Years Day. Staff were efficient and friendly and unsurprisingly the place was jammed packed. Would most certainly return there again and recommend to anyone wishing a decent size fresh meal as opposed to the usual half overpriced portions that are found in many pubs and restaurants now. I enjoy my food and this filled me up unable to eat a dessert. Keep up the good work guys.
