There are not enough stars here for this place, it is just perfect, best steak I have ever had , (and I worked as a chef for 18 years !!), we have never felt so happy and content after a meal . A true gem , go there , you won't be disappointed. Online booking necessary , also the covid safety protocols are the best I've encountered yet . All round excellence 👏👏👏

What a lovely experience. We were served by Louise who was so accommodating and friendly. Helped us navigate the menu because choosing what to have was difficult. The Sunday lunch menu has a variety of options all of which sounded delicious. 2 courses are around €27.50 and 3 for €35. The roast dinner portion is for someone with a big appetite so go hungry! I opted for the cauliflower soup and salmon for mains. The taste factor was 10/10. I can't wait to return for the evening service!

Really tasty food...beautiful prawn cocktail, soup, seafood and steaks all cooked to perfection... Great service and really friendly staff. I changed my booking and staff were so accomodating. A gorgeous country restaurant in a wonderful setting. Really impressed with their covid protocols too. We will be back again and again.

First time we went to the Kilshanny House Restaurant and the food was just great...honestly couldn't fault a thing...delicious food perfectly cooked with great sauce's, the dessert was also to die for so hopefully this standard continues. Service fast too with lovely staff. Thanks for a great meal.

This is a good, cozy place to get a pint. A little bit off the beaten path, we hit it up after checking out the Cliffs of Moher. No food when we we there. But if you're feeling social you could probably buy a round for the locals and make some new friends.

Mary was very welcoming to us when we showed up, famished, after surfing all afternoon. She kindly whipped us up some delicious seafood chowder and homemade brown bread despite lunch being over. Really, the chowder was the best we had on our trip. We couldn't resist the blackberry and apple crumble with custard, and thankfully we didn't, it was fantastic! There was also a lovely friendly dog, Coco who greeted us in the car park

We arranged a family dinner in Kilshanny House for after our wedding rehearsal. It was a fabulous evening and our group could not have been more well looked after. Mary is an absolute gem - it was a pleasure to meet you Mary and thank you for hosting us :-) The food was delicious and there were no problems catering for everyone in our group! Great coffee, scones, jam. We got a flat and Mary gave us the royal treatment even though she had not yet opened for the day. Even got us a mechanic. Food was delicious (great scones and jam!), she was incredibly warm and welcoming. I will go back to Ireland to go back there again.

Mary is so passionate about excellence in food, that she has only just launched her lovingly created seafood chowder. The heavenly texture and taste is to die for. Definitely the best seafood chowder I have tasted.

The most wonderful meal I've had in a long time. Kilshanny house is an absolute must see if you are near the cliffs of moher or the Burren. The restaurant/pub is absolutely beautiful inside with so much charm. Mary one of the owners makes the food herself and made us the most delicious meal. You could tell she puts so much heart into every meal she makes. We happened to go there on Sunday for one of their singing circles which was such an interesting experience that would only happen in Ireland! I would recommend Kilshanny house to anyone looking for a cozy atmosphere, delicious food and great company :)

The Kilshanny House is a quaint slice of heaven on a long journey across the Irish countryside. Despite being closed, Mary and Aidan took in a family of five and opened much more than just their kitchen. From Aidan’s sweet home baked bread to Mary’s delicious breakfast, warmth and hospitality flows through the house, emanating from the two of them. Whether you enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee, or an ice cold Guiness, Kilshanny House should be a stop along your journey. You’d be sad if you missed it.

Mary was a friendly and lovely host. A quiet pub with delicious homemade soup with local produce that warmed us up after the boat ride back from the Aran Island. Recommend for anyone looking for a pub less frequented by literally buses of tourists. Will be back again!
