Reviews of Kasbah Wine Bar
It's located on the top of the iconic pub Tigh Naechtains, it has a good selection of wines and excellent food, it's a bit pricey but you pay for the service, location and quality.
Enjoyed the cute setting above street level lots of nooks to tuck into, including by the fire place. Wine, beers, and bites. Friendly service, creative small menu.
Have been here a good few times and I'm always happy leaving. Great for small groups to share a few different dishes and try out the menu or for a quick casual bite. The polenta chips are fantastic. Nice little selection of good whiskeys on offer too which is always appreciated.
Can't wait to go back. Food was delicious, great location, cozy atmosphere, super friendly staff.
We had an absolutely lovely time here. The staff were very friendly, we felt right at home despite being from the US. The drinks and charcuterie were excellent. Both of my sisters mentioned that the Pinot Grigio they had was the best they had ever had. I had an old fashioned, and it was very well-balanced. High recommend, however, call ahead if you have a larger party as it’s not too large of a place.
I’m still dreaming about the food I ate here. It was sublime! Tasty tapas, fantastic wine, friendly staff and great for people watching if you sit outside. Highly recommend a visit.
Small and intimate , and in a great location. Cocktails are amazing . Will definitely be returning. We didn't eat here but wish we had as everyone's food looked amazing as it arrived.
Wow, this place is great! Lovely and chill, great service, great selection of wines, and beers too. Like finding a cool secret bar above the hurly burly of a street filled with pubs and restaurants.
Great little over looking street below. Had delicious cheese board crab claws and Spanish styled roasted peppers. Lovely wine also and very nice staff.
A lovely wine bar, with fabulous rainy day views of shop street. The staff are just as friendly as sister bar Neachtains. The wine list is extensive with a range for all budgets.
Great food and ambience.
Super wine, delicious cheese boards and lovely views of Quay Street and the Latin Quarter. The staff are lovely too!
Seriously impressive delicious food. No samey boring menu here. Far better than Ottolenghi without the hype!
Love this place. Food is amazing and service is superb. The polenta chips are a must have.
FABULOUS 👍👍🍷🍷

cosy place, nice staff
Liked the Mulled wine..
If you want to try tasty food this is the place. Real good stews, fresh oysters, amazing ''croquetas'' and a wide range of beers and wines. Amazing staff as well.
(I fell in love with the three different kind of bread they make)
Great little venue!
Delicious brunch!
Lovely friendly place
Love this place
(Translated) Nice selection of European wines, with a menu of dishes in small portions. The dishes were very elaborate "bistronomie" type. Spring halloumi rolls with yogurt sauce as a starter, raw salmon marinated in beetroot juice and gin as a main course, vegan chocolate fondant and poached pear for dessert. A delight.
The staff are friendly and the setting intimate.
Count at least 35 euros per person.

Well located in the lively heart of Galway, I was tempted by the modest facade of this restaurant. Once upstairs, you are handed a dish menu that is concise to say the least (one page). The experience seemed to get off to a bad start.
But don't let the lack of artifice in this introduction put you off. The cuisine is breathtaking. Each dish is designed to create a subtle and bold combination such as sweet tacos or lemon beetroot.
And the accompaniment is not left out since the servers will be able to recommend beers exclusively created for the establishment.
I highly recommend it!
A nice restaurant on Shop Street. Food and appetizers were very good. I would recommend
