Went in as a walk-in with my partner on a very busy Saturday evening. The guy that seated us was friendly and pleasant, as were all of the staff. Service was quick and efficient, food was fine but basic. Where this place falls down is the fact management allow smoking anywhere in the outside area, regardless of food being served. Where this may have been a “smoking area” prior to Covid, it’s unacceptable that we had to eat surrounded by people smoking. In fact I’m almost sure it’s illegal. Another thing is the bleach spray cleaner that’s used to clean the tables. The smell is overpowering so we had to leave. There are numerous sanitisers that are odourless which do the same job as the stuff they used.

We visited Gorey a few weeks ago and our Airbnb hostess Mary Jo recommended The Coach house to us and we weren't disappointed. The food was lovely although we couldn't finish our main course as the portions were so large. We met the proprietor on the first night and we welcomed us. On the second night he welcomed us back. Our waitress Orla was such a lovely person and chatted to us between courses. On our second night there Orla was off duty and came over to chat to us and asked us if we enjoyed our meal. She then processed to buy a round of drink for my husband and our 2 friends that were with us. She asked me if I would like a coffee as I had told her I was driving.

It's difficult to rate this. The food was lovely, the staff friendly however social distancing a major issue for us. It was our first time out since March. I was somewhat nervous about going out at first however was really pleased initially when we were seated. Unfortunately our experience changed to extremely unpleasant and worrying when another group were seated unbelievably close to us. It would have been OK if management didn't have seats positioned between the tables but they did. One person in our group ended up with another person from the other group sitting back to back as in there chairs were touching!!! No contact details recorded by staff. No masks worn by staff. We raised our concerns with management before we left. I feel management need to step up here. Show respect for their staff, their customers and all the other pubs/restaurants abiding by all public health regulations. This blatant disregard of public health regulations is risking everyone's health and people's livelihoods. Please management sort this out. You have lovely food, lovely staff. All you need now is to do your very important part of implementing regulations. Keep us all safe please.

The food was lovely and staff very friendly. I did not see any masks on staff , did not take name or contact information . stood over us to take orders which made us nervous. staff unable to social distances so maybe they should wear protective masks . Please stay safe.

Highly recommend the fabulous food and service. We regularly visit here with small children and we always feel so welcome. All Staff are so friendly. As restrictions are now in place they have it very well laid out and plenty of sanitising stations throughout the premises. Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent! Situated centrally in the town in a good location. It's got a good atmosphere but not overly busy. Service is very good. But the food was excellent. My wife got a "half roast chicken" and they weren't lying! I got a carbonara which was very tasty. You won't leave here hungry.

Food good, but had to move twice, first table beside toilet door, had to move seat each time someone used toilets. Not a good layout, too many tables in such a small space. Felt the waitress didn't understand why I needed to move...

We called in here after visiting the seal rescue centre in courtown. We are so glad we did. One Arabian chicken salad and one blackened cajun prawn salad. The presentation was amazing (we got a good day as the chef was taking photos too ) and both were absolutely delicious. Service uber friendly, and my toddler was astonished at her ice cream sundae at the end of her bangers and mash Well worth a visit

Love being in Gorey on the weekend so I can call in to The Coach House for a feed. Brilliant improvement since it was taken over by the same management that run the brilliant Christy's in Arklow. Definitely a contender for a top place to eat in Gorey.

Food has really improved since the last time I was here. The black pudding hamburger special was delicious! Staff were friendly and attentive without being over bearing. Prices were what you would expect nowadays. Not cheap, but not overly expensive either. Went in for a family food and was not disappointed. Would recommend.

A very nice decorated place, with allot of space for dinners/drinkers with nice staff and service :-) I went there for a drink with few friends, so, didn't try the food, but I will surely be back to try the food... to summarise... a nice place for a visit :-) visited again this morning for a coffee and the espresso was very good! :-) I went there 15 min before opening and was served with a smile :-) sometimes that what makes the difference when deciding to revisit a place :-) thank you June :-) one more thing to add.... the coffee has improved :-) a very welcoming place... worth a visit and.... the coffee is still good :-) very nice and special atmosphere during the festive season, made the visits even more enjoyable and the staff is superbly nice and welcoming... indeed s fun place to visit :-)

Where do I start? From the time we walked in until we left, the Coach Inn was superb. The food was excellent, came out in good time and was at a good price, the service was second to none and always done with a smile the atmosphere was what you would expect on a Saturday night, packed, noisy but not intimidating. Lots of large/ family groups dining as well as couples. We were so impressed my wife and I are going back on Tuesday. If you're in Gorey and.looking for a place to eat this is it! My wife the foodie said she would give it 1000 stars my daughter said she would give it a million stars, she's 8.
