Reviews of The Carraig
First time up here and in this bar. Great pint of Guinness and friendly staff. Great place to watch a match lots of TV's in prime positions..Will be back again for sure.
So why did I just give here three stars? A number of factors influenced my decision:
1. We were meeting there as a group and decided that due to COVID it would be better to meet out in their beer garden. There was no coverage or shelter and thus no heating. Later in the evening it began to rain so that made things worse.
2. One lounge girl in particular, while happy to take tips was the sort of person who probably would be better not dealing with the public.
3. The cleaning rota on the wall in the men's toilet didn't have a single time slot filled in but to be fair the toilets were clean. Why bother having the rota on the wall if you aren't using it? The hand dryer air is so cold that it would give you frostbite!
Later in the evening a few of the less hardy of the group moved inside, leaving the rest of the outside in the December elements. We managed to get seats and finished off the evening in warmth and comfort.
One year on and I'm glad to say the lounge girl was replaced with a much more pleasant person.
This pub is a 15 minute walk outside greystones. Nice atmosphere. Pleasant garden at back. Cosy on a winters day. Guinness is very good here. Staff very nice.
Grand local spot. Lovely pints and friendly staff.
Cosy bar, good spot for a match, TVs well spread out around the bar so you always get a view
Very friendly and homely type atmosphere in this suburban location. That applies to the management and regulars alike.
Nice pint. Friendly staff. Pizzas now available from Pizza Slice at the back of the premises. They are very good and reasonably priced.
Great for watching the match. In these covid times good table service and very clean.
A proper Irish pub even has a snug. Great staff and great pints
Nice quiet local pub with friendly staff and a decent beer garden out the back. They don't do food but they have sport on if you are interested in that and plenty of space out of the way of the television if you just want to talk or have a quiet drink.
The only 'Real' bar in the Greystones, good for sports and random banter with the locals. Unpretentious, and serves a good pint (also bottled Guinness etc for real traditionalists)
15min Walk from Greystones Village to this little 'Gem'. A REAL pub . Killincarraigh Village host this quaint setting. Really friendly welcoming Owner/staff. Lovely beer garden to rear. If you want away from 'Ghastropubs' this could well be for you. Well worth a visit

**🍻 The Carrigg in Kilincarrig: Where Legends Brew 🍻**
Nestled amidst the quiet of Kilincarrig, this mythical pub emerges like a forgotten treasure chest. Its timeworn door, etched with tales of yore, beckons wanderers and dreamers alike. Step inside, and you'll be swept away by an intoxicating blend of history, magic, and camaraderie.
**The Atmosphere:**
Imagine a symphony of laughter, clinking tankards, and haunting ballads. The air hums with secrets whispered by ancient stones. The hearth crackles, casting shadows on the faces of patrons—pirates, poets, and lost souls. The walls, adorned with memories, harbor the echoes of countless toasts.
**The Libations:**
The Carraig's brewmaster, a sorcerer in disguise, concocts elixirs that defy reason. Sip the "Mist of Lugnaquilla," a potion that transports you to Arthurian realms. Or perhaps the "Whispering whiskey," which reveals forgotten truths. And when the moon waxes full, and the Carrick Curse flows with brews that bind hearts and fates.
**The Enigma:**
Legend has it that the pub's cornerstone was laid by a banshee, her wails etching magic into the stones. The mirror behind the bar reflects not your visage but your soul's deepest desires. Beware the hidden door—the one that leads to Avalon or oblivion, depending on your courage.
**The Carraig's Oath:**
"Here, all are equal—kings and beggars, poets and pickpockets. Raise your glass to the moon, for she knows our secrets. And when the storm howls, remember: The Carraig shelters not just bodies but dreams."
So, fellow wanderer, step into the Carraig in Kilincarrig. Let its whispers weave your destiny, and may your heart find solace in its ancient embrace. 🌙🔮
