Nice old style pub in Killarney. Seems quite small on entering, but plenty more room out the back with spacious couches. There is a seated outdoor area also, equipped with heaters. The Guinness here was excellent and the family/staff behind the bar were lovely. Would highly recommend a visit.

Always a great pint in a friendly atmosphere, a must visit when I am in Killarney! One of the few remaining true family run bars that exist anywhere, a rare hidden gem.

Jack C's Bar is a great little pub in the middle of Killarney's main tourist street. When my wife and I entered, we immediately found ourselves welcomed. We were there twice. Only twice because we noticed it too late. It's no problem getting into conversation with the innkeepers and other guests. To loosen things up, the innkeeper showed off his little dog Ginny (or Jeannie?) with a few tricks. He gave us some treats that we were supposed to give to the dog little by little. The atmosphere was very pleasant and familiar, even if conversation with some old bar patrons was a little more difficult due to our lack of Irish English skills. My Guinness and my wife's Smithwicks Red Ale were well tapped and cheap by Irish standards. Next time we come to Killarney this public house will be our local pub. July 2019.
