Nice bar but doesn't cater very well for a gluten free diet unfortunately. The menu was not marked with allergen information and the servers didn't know what the options were. They did ask the kitchen for me but the options were very minimal.

Went for lunch, it was OK. One of the staff was over the top about covid id as also wanted photo Id!! He would want to improve his own hygiene as hid jeans were rotten dirty. Was cold inside had to keep coat on. I use to really like this pub on my visits to Malahide....

Got one of the most expensive White Russians I think I have ever gotten and the flavor was off. But besides that, they had some really nice people working there. More of a modern interior with a very cool exposed keg cooler in the back. Every table was full on a Saturday night but the wait was not too long.

While the food was quite bland and overcooked (I had vegan lasagna wish some mushy unidentifiable veg and nice fresh salad), I really really appreciate that there are multiple vegan options (probably should go for burrito next time) in such traditional Irish pub! Separate options clearly marked on the menu, a blackboard outside indicating that they have vegan options - good effort!

The outside betrays the true size of Fowlers once you get inside. The front inside of the pub resembles what you'd expect out of most pubs, but the back is easily one of the most modern looking in Ireland. There is also a very large smoking area to the rear, which is bright, spacious and pleasant. Easily could spend a night there. Price of a pint is very reasonable as well and it attracts a mix of both young and old depending on what part of the pub you want to enjoy.

Great spot. Gets pretty busy but there's lots of little areas making this large pub seem cosy. While I'm not a smoker, the smoking areas are away from the main drinking area and are fantastic in summer (on the roof). Can be difficult to get served on weekends because lots of people still think it's fine to park their group at the bar but that's not a problem specific to this bar.

I've been coming to this bar for 35 years( since I was 15) previously known as smiths, its lost some of its charm and has been refurbished and modernised.As its located in Malahide, you probably have to keep up with the other bars in order to attract the younger crowd and survive as a business. No longer is Mrs smith patrolling the bar, in order to catch the youngsters snogging and under age drinking, she would then swiftly evict and barr you from the premises. Fowlers now seems to be devoid of atmosphere and intimacy, perhaps due to its expanse and lack of clientele to fill the spaces. Now to the important stuff. They probably serve the best pint of Guinness in Malahide, its delicious and one or two is never enough. The food also seems to be very good and tastes great, although to be fair, when I've had a few pints of Guinness, most food tastes pretty good. The bar staff here are very friendly, professional and affable. Some of the staff are still here from Mrs Smiths days. Long may it continue.

While not as well known as the established Gibneys, and not as "Old style Irish", Fowlers actually is a great place for a weekend. With more seating area, less crowded, and far better food, Fowlers is a great place to pass an evening.

One of my favourite pubs for a few quiet pints but sadly the atmosphere goes very quickly in the pub. Disappointed to see they stopped serving Hop House but all in all well worth a visit to start the night

We went to an elevated part of Fowlers and had comfy seats. I personally was not hungry but wanted a coffee. I then chose a cheese toasty. Waited a good while. Finally came as two pieces of toasted bread cold with some cheese non melted inside. I was very disappointed. However my colleague had some soup which she said was really good. I feel in this day and age if you can't do a simple thing like a toasty properly you need to have some cooking lessons. Very disappointed.

The bar on the left hand side is the spot to be for any sort of atmosphere - the other side could be any enormo-bar in Dublin. Good pint of Guinness, nice staff and the whole place is well maintained.

Really was looking forward to eating here as we have had drinks here but no food and honestly it wasn't great the fish was greasy chips like warm pizza the same and to charge €1 for an extra topping which was onion or lack of onion should I say there was only 7 pieces of onion was a but of a disgrace we were also left short sweet potato fries and when we mentioned this we were assured we would get them straight away 25 minutes later after we finished eating and asked for the bill they arrived so we didn't have them as we had finished not a great experience but drinks wise nice pint

Fowlers has a great selection of beers, including the Heineken limited edition beer H41. The atmosphere is excellent and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend Fowlers for a good night out with friends.
