We were traveling from Galway to Donegal jumping on and off the Wild Atlantic way and heard of a small pub just outside Sligo town that had great pizza, we are Irish and have just come home after living in New York City and Brooklyn for the last 18 years, I know good pizza I have tried everything from Lombardis to table 87 over there. We looked up google maps and figured out that it was nearly exactly half way from where we were traveling to. When we arrived we were greeted by Hugh himself dressed half bartender half chef, really great personality. We sat outside and had two pizzas prepared by his Egyptian pizza chef, we could also see a lot of click and collect pizzas flying out and it was only 4.30 on a Saturday. I have to say they were the best pizza’s we have had outside of New York, I don’t write reviews but felt compelled to for this, it’s hard to find really good pizza, well worth the trip. His mother was was there as well a natural host and the locals including the cat, dog, two horses with two new foals and a Shetland pony for Hugh’s young son were just fantastic, a really really great local place to go, make the effort to check it out, thank you all

Fantastic friendly welcome. Hugh could not do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble. He even went to the local shop to ensure we had crisps with our drinks. The food was fantastic. Small but excellent menu on Friday and Saturday. Would highly recommend the chicken curry and their home made pizza. Will definitely be back.

Lovely little pub serving yummy food. Really good choice of dishes available. We ate here both nights of our holiday as as the food was so good. The service was second to none. Thanks to Hugh and all the staff for everything!

Myself and my husband had a gorgeous meal on Friday night at Morans Bar in Ballintogher - a lovely family-run bar/restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious (Haddock and Chips), a creamy pint of Guinness, a good selection of gins and the service was great. Would highly recommend this restaurant, they have a small menu and the food is freshly cooked. Many thanks for the great hospitality Hugh and Emer.

Cosy, clean pub, nice ambiance, friendly staff. Open fire. They now serve food on Fri and Sat. The Crested Ten here is lovely, I don't know how or why, but it tastes better than elsewhere. Good whiskey selection. Overall, recommended.

I visited Moran's Bar &Restaurant last Friday. I have to say the staff were so friendly behind bar.The food was excellent &the service was very fast.The waitress was very friendly asking was everything thing ok with a pleasant smile. The chef also came to say hello. Beautiful place to go. The meal from start to finish was excellent. The Bar has its own style with some unique things in it.l would highly recommend Moran's Bar &Restaurant to go &visit. Top marks 😉will definitely be back again.

We had a delicious dinner at Moran's Bar recently: wonderful chicken and chickpea curry, the tenderest steak I can remember tasting, and a very special dessert named after Grover, the Irish terrier -- We really had a great time, with good company and terrific food.

I visited Moran's Bar for a meal with family while on a visit to Sligo last weekend. We had heard that this was a nice Gastro bar & we certainly were not disappointed... This is a lovely traditional Irish bar. The food was excellent & all the staff we interacted with were extremely professional & friendly... I can highly recommend this Gastro bar.
