Service a little disorganized as seems like waiters don’t have assigned tables so we had 4 people constantly asking us the same questions. But it was more amusing than an annoyance!
T. E.Then owner a lovely man. The sauce on Big D's Spicy wings wasnt nice. The lamb shank dinner was cold. But when came out hot it was gorgeous. Had apple tart with hazelnut ice cream. It was superb as well. Auzzie style bar / resturant.

J. L.Great atmosphere, always my go to for a pint. Tried the new orchard thieves blood orange and it’s great! The staff are very friendly, the owner is great and takes real bride in his staff and customers. The food can be hit or miss sometimes but it’s easily fixed and nothing is too much for the staff.
C. v. N.Loved this place. The owner is Australian and was very welcoming and friendly. He serves a variety of beers IPA cider and makes his own res ale. There was a music act from the USA and was very entertaining. Could habe stayed there all night and will definitely go there again the next time I am in Sligo.
N. R.Great little bar. Was looking for an Irish bar and stumbled into a little bit of Australia in the Irish boondocks. The owner, Dale is an Aussie from Tavgambalang, near Wodonga. He has apparently been in Sligo for about 30 years having been tricked by an Irish girl to stay 'for a while'. He has created a great pub with a lovely atmosphere and a typical Aussie Beer garden out the back.
Asking one of the locals how long he has been coming he responded "about five years" and he wouldn't drink anywhere else.
Well worth the visit "down under" if you're out Sligo way or want to sample a bit of Aussie tucker.
R. N.First pub of the day was The Swagman, a little bit of a walk from the train station, but eventually found it. Had a massive crowd in it which was impressive for the middle of the day but I guess the rain has people in with nothing else to do on a Saturday! Was hard enough to get a seat but did in the end. Bar man charged my phone which was gracious of him.
Bar was doing well with food, and had the rugby on the box. Not really my type of place, I am not a huge fan of bar/restaurant combos or at least places that dont separate the two crowds, the beer drinkers and the foodies.
A lot of options to drink from the usual to some interesting craft beer options. Apparently they have got over 30 craft beers on offer! Got an ale from local brewers The White Hag Brewery, on the recommendation of the bar man. Found it a bit tough to drink to be honest, but its always good to try something different.
Bar had a very interesting decor, traditional feel but also with a lot of Australian references, which was very interesting to look at, and overall it is a nice bar, just a bit too crowded and cramped for my liking, albeit service was efficient and quick enough which is always important!
I would like to visit this bar again away from the midday food crowd as I’m sure at night it can be a place to have some fun in. And I see they do have some live music and trad nights so I guess will have to be back to test that!
S. M.Had a 7 year old and grandparents with us. Very reasonable. Food and service was excellent and the outdoor area very good. The bathrooms need a revamp. No locks on the door and graffiti and dirty.

Local Craft beers (White Hag and Lough Gill breweries, Sligo) in addition to mainstream beers. Great staff, owner was very giving of his time to discuss Irish craft beers. T. D.I usually give a 5 star rating but I can only give 3. The pub has a great vibe and the staff are very friendly, the owner Dale is a top man. We went and ordered food it was just average, the burger was nice but the chips let the dish down. It was obvious that the chips were not cooked to order, they were almost cold when they were served. The bacon on the burger was too fatty. A piece of streaky bacon on the burger would have been a lot nicer and if it was served with fresh chips this dish would have been top class.

M. C.Cool cool cool I'd how I would describe the interior and atmosphere in this pub. The food is lovely, your in a pub but it doesn't feel like it when you eat there if that makes sense. Staff so helpful and kind I always get back there when I can.
p. b.Great spot for a unique beer on draught and good atmosphere. I have heard some fantastic live bands here. Always a few people around all day. There have a large beer garden for those sunny days. There.is a good selection of food at great value. I always pop in here for a drink when I'm in Sligo
M. O. S.Take your family and enjoy this place immediately, bar has a friendly, family orientated atmosphere, the food is of the highest quality and standard.
Kids menu is healthy and very reasonable priced. Portions are even satisfactory for an adult. The Staff are fantastic, very helpful inviting and friendly. I don't give 5 stars however in this case they deserve it, my 2 year old daughter loves the pizza and the waiting staff who keep her in stock with paper and crayons. Very relaxing place for a "Parent" to have a drink and lunch. Try the wings with chips.

Wife had a Gluten free Pizza and said it was beautiful, son said his Pizza was one of the best he's ever Had! (Good recommendation)
Service was excellent in a busy bar. Great selection of beers & wines available with a massive Whiskey selection also.
Overall price was very cheap and will be going back there again as I am on holidays in the area.

The service is great, the owner is top notch, and the beer selection is fantastic, never eaten a better seafood chowder either. Amazing place.

R. E.Found it by accident whilst walking around Sligo City. A bar that is as interesting as the Australian owner. It is a popular pub, with the young and of the older generation. The decor is rustic but it feels just right, homely. It serves meals and has a good selection of drink etc. A great place to sit and chat and take your time. If you leave the bar and have a hunger for a Chinese, the Mandarin is directly across the street through a large black door. Follow the hall to its end and through the glass door. You will not be disappointed.

Great idea to have complementary blackcurrant and mywadi with water for the hot weather. He loved the poker machines and won €60, whoo whoo.

My brother and I visited and ate here on both our nights in Sligo. Food is great, beer is brill and ghe staff are ace. I would visit. Sligo again just to go here. I said earlier it was the best bar i had found in Ireland, its probably best bar i have visited in the British Isles!
