I am a tenant since August 2021, and I have been having a great experience with Powell Property. Before moving to my apartment, the administrative process was very fast and clear. I appreciate that they care about providing all necessary information / documentation prior to the moving date, so everything is clear for both sides. If you have all documents required for them, signing a contract with Powell Property is very fast, and they do respond to any question you may have (and I had a lot to ask...). Furthermore, since I moved in, I had reported a couple of minor issues that needed to be fixed (shower door and leaking tap). There again, the process is very fast. Each time I was reporting an issue through the dedicated form, the maintenance team would follow up with me via email very quickly and shortly after, I would get a call from the contractor Sean. Every time I had interacted with them or Sean, all of them were very nice and always responded to my concerns. Fixing the issues themselves took a bit longer than planned (not because of them, but the issues themselves or our schedules mismatching due to holidays, for example) but it is fixed, so I am happy. I am always able to reach out to them if I have anything worrying me concerning the property, and I always get a clear response. I think they do a great job working between tenants and landlords. Before, I had private landlords, so from my experience, it is way more reassuring to deal with this agency, as processes are clear, and it's relieving a lot of stress. Thank you Powell Property for your continuous help :) . Please thank again Sean for being super nice and flexible each time I needed his help!

I am not leaving this review to Powell, but specifically to Philip. Philip was kind, respectful and professional since I first rented my appartment with him, back when Homefinders had not been merged with Powell yet. When the merge happened I was worried that I would have to start dealing with a much bigger "faceless" agency , but fortunately Philip is still there. Dealing with house issues or contract changes can be stressful, and recently I had an issue regarding maintenance (and another emplyee of the agency) that really frustrated me. Philip could not solve the issue as it is not in his scope, but as usual he returned my call , listened to the problem and showed that he understood. Sometimes tenants can feel like they're being dismissed and not being heard or taken seriosly. I have felt that a few times, specially being a foreigner, and it is good to know that Philip is someone who I can actually communicate with.

We had an unfortunate situation few days after moving in (there was a leak that left us without water and electricity for a bit). Even though it was an evening of a bank holiday, surprisingly, after few phone calls, it was fixed quickly and professionally. There's also an amazing website to report all the issues which is very easy to navigate and use.

This summer, my girlfriend and I rented an apartment in Cork from Powell Properties. Here's my experience: Good points: • They responded quickly to emails and phone calls, usually within 24 hours. • They were quick to send repairmen round whenever something was broken. • They were a pleasure to deal with whenever I had to go into the office to solve a problem. Bad points: • They said they would send us back the deposit within two weeks after we had moved out, but they didn't. I had to start badgering them to return it. When they eventually did return the deposit, it was nine weeks after we had moved out. However, the woman I spoke to on the phone seemed concerned and I think there had been a genuine mix-up. I don't think they were keeping the deposit intentionally. • The building we moved had apparently been unoccupied for the last few years. Therefore, we had a few problems when we moved in. The boiler wasn't working, the gas meters outside were rusted and leaking, and we couldn't have internet because no lines were installed. To be fair though, these kinds of thing probably don't happen often; it was only because the building had been unoccupied for so long. • They accidentally overcharged me on the first month's rent. Luckily, I spotted it and brought it to their attention. All in all, the good points outweighed the bad points and I would deal with them again.
