s. z.Been to many Indian restaurants however this one is truly commendable. Tried the South Indian specials on a Sunday and it was indeed mouth watering with an authentic taste.This is what I call AUTHENTIC TASTE. A must try if you want authentic Indian taste and if you love spicy food. Thanks to Chef (added photo with him)
A. A.We had our daughter’s birthday celebration here. It was a saturday and they were kind enough to slot us in for the afternoon, the food was absolutely brilliant. Very few places retain the essence of traditional Indian cuisine, Spice India is definitely one of them. Rolls and Jay sure know how to treat their guests, will be back soon!

S.A restaurant which serves best Indian food with gold standard hospitality and service ...we tried goan fish curry 🐟, Chicken biriyani 🍗, prawns roast 🦐 and tapioca biryani as well...all the dishes were super fresh and piping hot!!! Thanks spice India for a wonderful experience!!! Will be coming back for sure!!! Keep it up..

F. V.Our need was to have a quick dinner on our trip to Dublin, so we entered Spice India. Very clean and nice place, has a very wide menu. We went for a couple of selections and we weren't let down.
D. P.It's nice, but it's expensive. We paid €45.75 for one butter chicken, one korma chicken and a kids' meal. No drinks or desserts. And it took 1h 20m even though we were only eating one course at 5pm on a Sunday.
I asked if there was an early bird menu and the sever said, "it's the same but you can order a starter". I don't even understand this...
J. B.We ordered lamb biryani and meat samosas for takeaway. Excellent service over the telephone. Very friendly and helpful. The food arrived timeously and we were able to pay the delivery driver with a card. The food was delicious. Will definitely be ordering from Spice India in Athlone again. Highly recommend.
N. B.Visited Spice India in August for Onam as they had told us they were doing sadya. The food was extremely delicious and reminded my family and I of a typical home cooked sadya. Service was also great.
Definitely recommend visiting Spice India for quality food and give the Onam sadya a go next year!

V. Z.Would give fewer stars if it was only for service, but the food was very good and meal deals. The service was very slow, even that restaurant was not busy, and it was very cold inside that we had to sit with our jackets on, so ruined everything. Otherwise would give it 5 stars.

Food presentation is excellent and all staffs are very friendly. They will describe about the spices, ingredients & flavors of the Indian Foods. We had a Superb Experience.

The guy on the phone is the same guy who played Elvis in the musical in Athlone. He's not only super nice but also threw in a few extras to our order which was super nice of him! The food, just amazing! I never had such nice onion bajis and the prawn curry, to die for! I will be back and am already looking forward to my next order, delicious, fresh and the service is outstanding! Highly recommend!

K.First time to buy food from this restaurant, We ordered the House special mixed grill and rice , and chicken Madras with Nan, the food was delicious and the ordering experience was the best, did exactly what they said , delivered on time, so a big thanks to you guys for the beautiful food on paddy’s day ...like Arnold says “ I’ll be back” :-)
T. J.I ordered house special biriyani, meat platter, butter chicken, and kebab dishes for a group of 11 people. All of them enjoyed the dishes very well. We were a group of 7 adults and 4children. We are sure to come back again. Thank you Darren, Ciara and the spice India team.
J. G.So first thing first. Food is awesome here. So far tried very few but they really know about Indian cuisines.
To every Indian, ever heard of masala tea + garam garam pakode(absolutely fresh and hot pakodas) in Athlone. Spice India is the answer. Not only they took masala tea order outside the menu, they made it so well that that the tea itself made this review 5* for them.
Staff is very nice and when we asked for outside menu items they politely and happily accepted 2 out of 3 requests.
Apologies for not posting pics as I forgot to take them. Will try to post them next time for sure.
My recommendation - one must visit this place once to truly appreciate their effort and food.
Update:
Visited again (don't remember the count now). Super awesome Chicken Kolhapuri (obviously not for faint hearted), Masala Tea(yes, again) with pakoda, Chana Masala with Garlic Naan. No words to describe the taste and service. 5*

Coupled with massive pieces of chicken, some which were hard and difficult to eat, not sure I'd bother again. Where on Earth is the creamy balti recipe from?
