D. S.A lovely warm welcome and delicious food with excellent service as usual at the Hanged Man's last weekend. A drink is offered in the spacious bar before you are brought to your table. Glad to see all protocols being followed and every effort being made to keep customers and staff safe and well in these challenging times. Picturesque, quiet rural location beside the canal.

M.Best welcome I've had in any pub or restaurant in a long time, the staff, food & service was outstanding, without doubt a hidden gem... not many places you'd get a chalk board pulled up beside your table and given a full run down of the specials by an absolute gentleman who I can only presume runs & owns the place. Seafood chowder & fillet steaks were top notch.

D. L.My Wife and I joined another couple for dinner last night in The Hanged Mans, near Milltown, Newbridge, Kildare. The menu was extensive with many specials also available. The restaurant is family-run. Pat, the owner, has a great reputation for providing quality food and ambience, and our expectations were fully met. Two of us had fillet steaks, my Wife had duck ("the best ever") and the fourth member had cod. All of us were delighted with the food, drink, attentive service and lively atmosphere. There was free live entertainment in the adjoining pub and a great night was had by all. We will definitely return.
G. N. B.I haven't been in years and it's as good today as it always has been. The host Pat is amazing. He takes the time to meet and greet all diners and gives a run through each of the specials. I find it to get the perfect rare steak all to often its on the medium side but I was not disappointed tonight, rare to perfection and a beautiful cut of Roquefort fillet. My family had the duck, salmon special and burger one and all enjoyed their meal
F. v. d. W.We had our work's Christmas dinner here (in January!) I can see why it is so popular. The food was excellent and the service was quick and efficient. It has a nice family friendly vibe. We had a jolly good evening.
D. C.One of the best meals to have in Ireland! I had one of the specials, a slow cooked brisket which was absolutely superb! With some lovely potatoes and stir fry on the side I left well fed and happy! To finish it all off, the dessert was divine!

M.The food there is delicious and made to such a high quality. The staff are lovely friendly and helpful and really try to make your meal as enjoyable as possible. The restaurant area is beautiful and cozy. There are a few vegetarian options but these contain cheese. My one problem is there's no vegan options but otherwise my experience was amazing.

A really top class bar- restaurant and the early bird has to be the best value around if you're on a budget. This place is well worth a visit, but book in advance as it can get very busy.

m. m.I can honestly say that the experience was absolutely faultless. From the warm welcome you get the moment you step into the place to the moment you leave. The food was fantastic, the staff couldn't do enough for you and the place itself was so cosy you'd feel like you'd been going there years. We landed today (Sun) at 5:30pm, 2 adults, 1 teenager and a 5 year old. It cost e100 and was worth every cent. I have no doubt they will see us again.

P. Ó. C.Visited this pub & restaurant recently as part of a sad occasion but also the celebration of the life of 93 years of a very good friend who has departed this life. One could pass this premises by quite easily as it sits on the edge of a bridge in the village of Milltown on the Curragh. What a surprise. Being there after a funeral the atmosphere was self made but the staff were excellent and the food was top class. I would like to visit there again in different circumstances.

D. C.A great place 10 minutes drive from Newbridge where you can eat really great food and service is also very fine here. The bar looks nothing like what to expect on the inside, as the place is much bigger and more varied, while the menu includes a selection of excellent steaks and fish which they will cook to your liking.

r. k.Homely and cosy venue with good grub and one one to one service. The owner went through the menu with us himself and left us to have some drinks while we waited on our table. Would have loved if there was some live music, but they only have music once a month, which is a shame. All in all, well worth driving 5 minutes out of Newbridge for. Its a place my parents go regularly and I would recommend to my friends for other social gatherings. Theres even space downstairs suitable for birthday parties and work nights out for example. A hidden gem :)

I had soup for a starter and my wife wasent having any but they still brought out a lovely mug half full of soup ,nice one,
We had beef for the main course and was delicious and a nice desert too so all in all very enjoyable and will be back and the staff were very pleasent also.
