Ate outside on Sunday lunchtime, plenty of space. Waiting staff were so friendly and cheerful, really nice for my kids too. Food was delicious and very generous portions. Had the spicy wings and chips the chips were fresh home made the wings gorgeous. Kids loved their sausage and chips too. Nice view of the canal beside us too on a sunny day.

Lovely Christmas eve meal. Generous, tasty portions from pleasant staff. Caesar salad, nacho starters were so good, my partner really enjoyed his steak. The chicken wings could be a little more crispy but were tasty none the less. Looking forward to going back when they are allowed to open again.

Last summer I went with friends a couple of times because we loved the food and the service was fantastic. We couldn't have complimented it enough. BUT... Today I ordered a take out from there with my friend and O God never again will order take out from them. Not sure what happened but the standards just dropped significantly. We ordereed a beef burger and a chicken burger. My friend specifically asked for tomatoes and onions removed. When the delivery arrived there was a note on the packaging which is chicken and which is beef burger but when we opened the boxes they were mixed up. The ingredients were literally fu*ked into the bun. We also ordered Blue cheese dips and whatever we received were definitely not it. The fries were not cooked properly. We felt so sick after eating them. Honestly I am not sure what happened to the place because the food was usually lovely there but after today we are not ordering from there again.

Have eaten in once and takeaway a fair bit during the whole covid thing. Have always been really impressed by the food here. Firstly when eating in...service was fantastic. Nice restaurant and really friendly staff. Very attentive and child friendly. Very clean too. Food is fantastic. Great choices from starters to desert. Cannot recommend this place enough. Support local!!!!

I was there with family and friends Saturday evening and guys it's the best turkey and ham I've ever out in a restaurant. Service and staff were excellent and so good to see John and Adam, both excellent at what they do. Well done guys!

Popped to Athy today for a drive in our new motorhome, ordered our food from The Emigrants Bar, the girl on the phone who took my order was super helpful, she couldn't have been more polite, food was absolutely delicious, we had 2 different flavours of delicious chicken wings, chips & emigrant nachos, all was piping hot & full of flavour , will definitely be back

Excellent food. Beef was wonderful . So tender, Melt in your mouth. Great choice of beers and wines. Excellent staff..very busy but we where seated and served quickly. Friendly and very efficient. We where checked on to make sure everything was okay. Then left in peace to enjoy our meal. But there was never a time staff where not available to look after us.. Very reasonable priced too Highly recommend. Look forward to returning

It was early n we had booked our table tg.. staff n service was good. I just asked our server to pass a tip.to the chef. That chicken supreme ( not theyre name for it) while i couldnt fault it. If you're looking for a nice bar for a quite pint this is the place, and if its for a few while watching whatever game is on you'll find it here too. Lovely staff especially the more than accomadating barman, great atmosphere and a most importantly a cracking pint ( Guinness of course )
