L. K.Beautiful setting overlooking the river. This was our second time there in two weeks. Place is very well set up and staff are efficient (if heedless)and friendly.
We ordered 2 pasta dishes which were on the menu as having tiger prawns and other fish. We were disappointed as the fish was scarce and not a sign of a prawn. We were asked twice if everything was ok and mentioned the missing prawns both times to a non response. Not a big deal that they ran out of prawns but we should have been told. We got 2 large plates of overpriced pasta. Dessert was nice.

A. S.I visited this place after the killaloe cruise in afternoon. The reviews of this place is really great which took me here in the 1st place. We ordered a chicken pizza and Thai green curry. The good was Okish for the Indian taste buds, the staff was very friendly. The pizaa had a lot of cashew nuts which was new for me, but they were roasted and crunchy. The Thai green curry was the usual.

T. C.We decided to head into Flanagans after a walk around the town. It was kind of busy, but there was a lot of seating which is great and were showing the rugby match. It took us a while to get menus and when we ordered our drinks didn't come with our food so service was a little slow, found the older waitress to be abrupt and forgetful. Prices are Dublin bar prices which was really disappointing. The bar man was sound though when we went to pay, told us things to do around the area and was so friendly! It's a nice area and most of the staff are nice, the food was okay with high prices.

B.Very opportunist of the restaurant supervisor to slap on a €2 charge for a 20 cent mask, which could have been avoided if she had the decency to tell me that I could have got to my table without going through the restaurant. This lack of respect for a costumer only sprang to mind when my local Chinese restaurant, The Royal Court, gave me an identical mask, free of charge, on a recent visit.

M. K.I have eating here 3 times the food is very good.. it's best to go when it is quite for the best experience. I was there once when it was busy. The food was slow to come the staff took very long to take our orders. It seem chaotic at times with staff running around none of them looked like they were enjoying there day and stressed out which dampened the experience.. when I was there at quiter times it was the complete opposite and I would defenetly return again for a meal again.

But the service that we received was terrible. We arrive before the dinner rush purposely. Toward the end of the meal we asked for our check as it started to get busy. We waited 15 minutes, and had to ask again. After 30 more minutes we asked again for the check. The table next to us had arrived, recieved their food and ate. The restaurant was busy at this point. I've been a waitress at a busy restaurant in the past, and from my point of view waiting 40 min (after the plates in front of us were taken away) to get our check is unreasonable.

K. K.Service from the waiter was fantastic but the food was sadly not. The vegetarian pizza was swimming on the plate with the juice from the toppings. The chips were still frozen in the middle and the portions were quiet small, not reflecting the price. Only ate 2 slices of pizza and brought the rest back up and there was no offer of a discount when paying. It was such a pity as the bar itself is fabulous and with beautiful views across the river!
Won't be going back there unless it's just for drinks!

The menu has a wide selection, offering something for everybody and the restaurant is large and open so you don't feel cramped while dining. Beautiful view of the river as well. The customer service at this establishment the absolute best I have come across. The people at Flanagan's truly care about you & your experience and will do anything to keep you satisfied. Highly recommend dining here for an experience that will make your day!

Visited for meal and drinks for 2 on lovely summers evening . One of the best views from restaurant anywhere and outdoor marquee type dining also - weather permitting.
Happy with meal and service and price not bad -
mains € 15 to € 20 and up to € 25 for steak.
Place was packed when we were there after a sunny Sunday.. a few tourists and many Irish holidaymakers along with an obvious good local trade also. Place has really improved in service and quality and is very well maintained. Young staff also makes a difference. I was happy after my visit.
Overall ..... Recommended particularly for food.
Just remember.... hospitality in Ireland .... while improving in quality and service ..... is becoming very costly to avail of and I observed groups and families while i was there and bills were considerable....
so value for money..... if u have several mouths to feed... is a relative thing....

W.Came here on way to mountshannon and food, service etc was so good we decided to return passing through on our way room... food was fantastic to the point that the 3 boys ate it all which is an unusual occurrence for us... from greeting and the door, to ordering everything was super... good was out of this word and waitress very pleasant. So happy we came and found this gem, would highly recommend if you wish to have amazing food in a warm environment. Will definitely be back if we are down this area gin... P.S the view from the restaurant window is amazing

A number of the party were vegetarians and there was plenty of selection on the menu (though watch out for the options that include fish!). The vegetarian pasta and pizza are both very good offerings (good portion size; excellent quality; good wholesome food) - would highly recommend to others.
Chowder and smoked salmon offerings were also well received. Fish tasted very fresh...
There was also a good selection of options for children including some healthy options.
Good selection of drinks available from the bar. Guinness and Orchard Thieves were well received and good quality.

S. M.the weather was just perfect and it's a great spot for relaxing with the view of the bridge, river Shannon and the valley. The food is ok, we had chicken wings and burgers, but it's one of the best places to have Guinness. My cousin had her kids and they are happy to run around on the grass in front of the river.
