Perfection for the Unpretentious! Stopped here for lunch last Saturday on the way to buy lambs in Tobercurry. I knew from the start we were onto a winner! Positioned at the top of a triangle/square, the view of the street below was wonderful...I love these provincial towns; so easy to feel you are taking a little step back in time, leaving the rat race behind. As soon as we crossed the threshold we felt at home! The staff were lovely - professional but not detached. The menu was limited (I think!) to two starters, three mains and multiple fab desserts. I loved this because we didn't spend ages gagging and I would have been happy with anything that was on offer! I settled on the chicken vol-au-vents with chips and salad, and hubby had the roast beef which came with all the trimmings! My lunch was delicious (Hubby said his was too!) and a glass of House red (a very generously measured, delicious Malbec) was the cherry on the cake. Mains portions were just right and the price reflected this - €12.50 (excellent value!)! The wine was €5 (more excellent value!). We were so sorry to leave but we are definitely going back, as soon as we can, and I suppose I'll do the decent thing and drive on that occasion!

Nice restaurant with great staff. Simple comfort food, very well prepared and tasty. Just some improvement with presentation would be a 5 stars. The wind was recommended to us by the owner and was great. The best restaurant in Boyle town.
