J. S.Arriving in Ireland from Toronto, we were en route to our destination, totally exhausted, and randomly went to the nearest restaurant. What a pleasant surprise! Steak was excellent, kids menu was a hit, and they even had great vegan options for me.
C. M.We had a fabulous meal in The Moorings on Friday night last. It was a set menu, but with plenty of choice on all the courses, with added specials. We had the braised beef and seabass and both were lovely. The desserts were exceptional. The staff were fantastic, friendly, welcoming and very attentive. Covid guidelines all adhered to with plenty of space, and the premises was warm & comfortable. The highest of top marks. We'll be back, very soon.
A. G.Lovely food, lovely location , great service, staff really nice. Only issue is ventilation, if going on warm day be aware as room got very hot and staff unable to open doors due to current recommendations.
J. G.This was 4* Food with 5* Service. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Myself and the wife both had the goats cheese starter which was slightly disappointing but the mains (duck leg for me and hake for herself) were delicious and the desserts were heavenly. This is an ideal place for families where young children are welcomed and colouring materials are provided. Will definitely be eating here again.

W. R.Hidden Gem . Without question one of the best meals of my life. Chef is a genius . Staff were excellent with the kids and the attention to detail. Every course was as high standard as the last and you get the impression everything was thought out in advance. I will be back here for as long as they keep the level they are at now . Keep up the good work guys, Great Restaurants are hard to find. A++
E. F.7 of us visited The Moorings last night and what an amazing evening we had. We enjoyed drinks in the cozy bar with some of the locals and moved into the dining room for our meal. The menu offered plenty of choice of high quality food at reasonable prices. The rabbit terrine and venison sausage is not to be missed! Staff are very friendly and welcoming and service is to a high standard.

S.Myself and my family have had dinner there many times and we have never been disappointed, the food and service is always top class, bar and restaurant is cosy and relaxed and is in a beautiful setting just past Knockvicar village post office. Be sure if you are looking to eat here you book it well in advance as its usually booked out, again which is another good sign of a great restaurant. I highly recommend The Moorings. Update..
