Me and my fiance just got take away food and drinks from this restaurant. The thai green curry and the butter milk chicken burger with mac and cheese were amazing !. We got take away pints of Guinness and they were so creamy and delicious. The staff were so friendly and full of smiles. I could not fault anything. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

We were well looked after by a lovely couple outside their restaurant called ‘The Stairs’ on the Crescent in Boyle. There were plenty of steaks on the menu but then the daytime menu was brought out with mains for €12.50. Three of us had 2 courses and two drinks each. The total bill was €68. The beef roulade was a dream come true. The portions were large. When the big deserts come out all the patrons go oooh.
Open since November these guys welcome all with effortless charm and chat. It’s a great place for the craic even on a Thursday night. The locals are as chatty as COVID allows. The lovely Kerry who acted in Moone Boy starring Chris O’Dowd, told us why the passing traffic was stopped. There’s a movie being made in Boyle at the moment.
When it was time to go , Adrian McKenna from
McKenna’s taxis was our lift and guide back to our cruiser at Lough Key €8. 🤩🤩🤩

We stopped off in Boyle on a recent trip through the West of Ireland with my family for some dinner. We were recommended by some friendly locals to try the Stairs restaurant. Awesome food and lovely people the owners were.
Ended up having a few pints of Guinness too, which meant the wife had to take over the driving afterwards :)
Lovely town and lovely people. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Had a lovely evening at The Stairs Gastro Pub with my friends. We were eight and everyone thought their food was tasty and enjoyed the local pub atmosphere. Jim, the manager and the waitress are both really nice people and had us well looked after. I ordered a vol au vent as a starter wich I recommend. I had a little taste of the cod and the chicken kieve all were delicious. But when I ordered the chocolate brownie with its scoop of honey coumb ice cream, omg !!! My friend recon it was the best desert he ever had!!!
Thank you for a lovely evening with you and to all reading this review, do visit The Stairs Gastro Pub, you won't be disappointed :) ✌️

Nice atmosphere and excellent, carefully prepared food, specially the lamb 3 ways...
And I am french, so I am sharp in good cooking!
Moreover, the boss is very professional and charming: he even offered to drive us back to the hotel, as it was raining.

I passed through Boyle with my partner on a weekend trip. We decided to give this place a go for food, the food was delicious and we both agreed the homemade cheesecake was the nicest we had ever had.
What was disappointing was that for lunchtime hours the place was dead. I hope it picks up in the evenings because it would be a shame to see it’s doors close.

Lovely atmosphere, great food and a warm accommodating welcome as we hadn't reserved a table they seated us at the bar. The food was well presented, tasty and filling and the place is spotless. Kim and Jim behind the bar are both lovely and ya can have the craic with them. Great value for.money.

Lovely food in a nice pub. The owner Jim is a gentleman and even gave us a lift back to our boat after the meal. Thanks again Jim!
