A impressive restaurant set on the edge of a lake/river next to a private marina. The whole building looks as if it's been recently refurbished with very comfortable dining areas, each table separated by glazed screens which actually adds to the dining experience, providing private pod like areas that allow views to the water from each area. The staff were all very friendly and efficient, the choice on the menu was small but covered all likely tastes and everything we had was delicious. This is my second visit to this establishment and frankly I can't wait to come again soon.

I absolutely love the waterfront! I can't put the experience,quality and atmosphere of the restaurant in words or a small review but it's the best restaurant hands down that I've ever been in Ireland and we eat out alot.The food is so fresh,so elegant,so full of taste along with the lovely wines and pints you can get.Inside is always immaculate,the people who own it aswell as the servers are just fantastic and can always accept your requests.So lucky to have a restaurant only a minute away from the house.Definitely one to try folks and enjoy,I'm sure you will!😀

Excellent food and service. Outdoor covered dining with screens between tables giving a covid safe environment. Peaceful views over the lake with moored boats and swans. Altogether a most pleasant evening. Highly recommended.

A fantastic restaurant that does not let a good location compromise it's quality. We had the steak, fish and the children fish goujons. Even that was fresh and tasty. All dishes, main and starters, were carefully done and very very tasty, and service was immaculate. Only downside is that they were booked the day after so we had to wait a day before returning.

Fantastic staff and food. Very accommodating to people with allergies. When the chef was told I couldn't have the sauce that came with the meal, he sent the waiter back out with a list of alternatives that I could choose from. Not sure of the waiter's name but he didn't make my allergies feel like an inconvenience to him which is surprisingly rare but very much appreciated. The restaurant is taking lots of precautions including single use menus and spaced out tables, including glass/perspex screens between tables. Hand sanitizer was available on entry and a small bottle was left on the table alongside an A5 run down of the house rules (Masks to be worn while going to the bathrooms etc.)

Just dined here and the food was amazing. I had the Duck Salad and the Plaice(fish of the day) and they were cooked to perfection. I would heartily recommend anyone to eat here. And the view, despite the weather, just made the whole experience that bit better.

Lovely views over the water whilst enjoying delicious food. In a large group, ranging from children to seniors, every plate was left empty. We enjoyed a range across sea trout, beef cheek, pork neck fillet and more. Will definitely go back.

We had dinner at the Waterfront Restaurant on Sunday evening and it was an absolute delight. By 7pm the Sunday lunch options were sold out (I hear they're excellent, hence the popularity) so we ordered off the regular menu. Amongst our group we had the crab cake, scallops and chowder to start, followed by lamb, Dover sole, and fillet steak. All were delicious and highly recommended. We finished with a selection of desserts and the baked Alaska was the stand out. I imagine the Waterfront will be very busy in the summer with the marina users and beautiful water views!

Beautifully decorated restaurant which I'm sure will pull a good crowd once the summer cruising along the Shannon kicks in. It's on the marina so the views are lovely. I had the tasty scallops (and black pudding) starter which I'd definitely recommend. I also had the fillet steak cooked to perfection (medium rare, as requested) which came with some dauphinoise potatoes. It also comes with a small helping of asparagus, carrot and broccoli. Apparently the lamb is also to die for! The service was good. The wait staff kept the drinks flowing so we all had a fabulous night. They've got a nice gin and whiskey selection too. Will definitely be back!

This is a very good restaurant at Cootehall on the River Boyle, ideal for a stopover meal for those on a river cruise. There is an extensive menu to suit all tastes, including a children's menu. The river view is not bad either! However, one drawback is the lack of draft beer options.

You wont regret your dining experience here. Newly opened in late 2018, conveniently nestled between Boyle & Carrick on Shannon, in the picturesque village of Cootehall, worth travelling a distance. Seven in our group and everyone, without exception, complimented the food, service & atmosphere. Nice little bar there too, so even if you have to wait to be seated, it's enjoyable.

What a hidden gem !! Well, in fact you'll see it very well if you are on a Shannon cruise holiday. Very delicious food, very friendly staff, and the views are great too. Public mooring right in front of it. Absolutely recommend !

My husband and I went to the Waterfront restaurant last evening to celebrate my Birthday.Wow what a fabulous place this is.The view is spectacular.We were seated at a table for 2 overlooking the marina.The decor and furnishings are beautiful.The food and service was excellent.The young waiter was delightful and clearly enjoys his job.Will look forward to going back again when the evenings get longer and the nicer weather arrives.

Hadxa wonderful family celebration here ( party of 27). Every hot dish came out piping hot. Could not fault on the food. A bitbof a hiccup over drinks begore the meal not geing paid for by those who ordered ( some of whom may not h ave been oart of our party) but given everything was otherwise perfect, didn't make a big deal of it.
