Lovely local shop, serving delicious ice cream and so much more. Great picnic spot just outside the store. Beautiful views all around.

What a find in the Vale of Avoca. Walked into this quaint shop with my niece this afternoon drawn in by the smell of coffee aroma whilst out walking through the village. What a delight to be served by a very jolly man. The smell of food coming through the shop made my mouth water and as a result ended up having the best fish and chips I have had in several years. Wonderful and friendly service and I will be back sooner rather than later!

I honestly didn't expect a lot, but boy, was I surprised! They should charge for the aroma! We were outside, and assumed it was coming from Fitzgerald's pub, the iconic local Irish watering hole from the series Ballykissangel (which was filmed on location in Avoca, near Wicklow). Fitzgerald's doesn't actually serve food. The wonderful aromas were coming from an adjunct behind Hendley's General Store (also famous from the series and directly across the street from Fitzgerald's). The cafe wasn't part of the series, but the food was terrific and the staff wonderfully charming. The curry looked and smelled amazing, but we had burgers. They were happy to make mine a special order and gave us excellent directions to our next stop. DEFINITELY worth it. Check out the beautiful church atop the hill where they have regular services, and the bridge, which were regularly used in the series.

We had traditional fish & chips. It was great. Never expected such good quality in this small snack bar. Stuff was very friendly. We will be back in every case once we should come back to Avoca. This is how fish and chips should look like and taste.

Great little shop in Avoca. They have a little bit of everything. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Also stopped by the fish and chip shop for some lunch. Best food in town. The calamari was the best we had in Ireland. The staff there was friendly as well. Places like this make traveling a pleasure. I can promise you one thing I'm coming back for more when I visit Ireland again.
