C. F.Took a very long time to come. I asked for arbiatta and I got pizza, I didn't realise there was a pizza by that name but given there was both pizza and pasta it would have been nice if they confirmed if I was ordering pizza rather than assume it. The bruschetta was nothing like I expected for a bruschetta which I tend to expect is tomatoes, garlic, basil, olive oil on bread.
On a positive note the delivery girl did ask to rectify the pasta arbiatta. I didn't take up the offer as I do eat pizza and I didn't want to end up eating 90-120 minutes after ordering.
Pizza was very good to be fair.
Mixed experience. Given the price, which is not cheap, I would expect better. Having said that if I need a pizza again sometime I might give the restaurant another try, but would expect faster service next time.

Z. S.We went to Caffè 500 yesterday for my birthday dinner and the food was so amazing that my boyfriend ordered the second portion for himself! It has never happened before to him, haha. The place has a beautiful decor, you basically feel like you're in a cosy restaurant in the heart of Italy.
Service is also great, the lady serving us was super nice and ready to walk an extra mile to make the customers happy.
I would recommend the place for a 100%!
We live in Arklow, but definitely will be back soon!

Pizza was good, lasagna was ok, garlic bread was very garlicky, cheesecake was ok.
I suggest ordering pizza rather than pasta.
Tonight I waited more than 10 minutes longer than they told me when I ordered.

This place is so beautiful with the decor it's really hard to fault them for this one you really have to see it to enjoy it. All wooden with a real homely feel to it.
I did feel the premises was a little crapped and didn't have much flow, like when I walked in I'm standing beside someone who is eating...(like nearly in their face)
The food;
Wow what can I say this food is very nice I'd give it 7/10 not bad at all. The price is slightly too high and that's not consistent with the portion size. It's too little for the amount your paying I. My opinion. When I eat pasta I expect to feel somewhat full or content. I was still hungry.(I'm not a big man 5'11" 80kg)

m. g.Pasta was excellent. Pizza was slightly burnt and disappointing in taste. Spicy sausage was tough and chewy. Customer service was lacking unfortunately. No one asked us if we wanted more wine at all and we were only approached when they came to take plates away. On the plus side, the place is lovely and makes for a wonderful little restaurant if a few slight changes are addressed.

M.Incredible food and service from this beautiful little restaurant. During Covid19 they do takeaway with free delivery in Carlow. And the food arriving to your home is just as good as when they serve it in the restaurant. The food quality is not compromised at all as a delivery. It is just amazing. We got Pizza 500, Garlic bread (perfectly cooked bases and fresh ingredients) we got carbonara which is fantastic & the nutella on Focaccia bread. You will not be disappointed. You get so much food for the price & you will feel very full & satisfied. I love this place. It's the first place I'm going to when it opens back up fully again.

Indeed the best I've had in Ireland. Crusty and light , no soggy bits.i got sausages and verdure strascinate from the specials and was happy with that.the place is tiny but though busy there's not waiting for the food , basic good home cooking at reasonable prices.

The pizzas are a favourite for my children with fresh toppings on a nice flaking crust. The staff is wonderfully nice and helpful. They are willing to make some.chamges to assist the dining party. P. E.If you wanna feel what to be in Italy is like, go to Caffé 500, as here they won’t fail you, here food is something which brings up emotions, memories, it’s really a sensorial experience. Pasta dishes are so good that it’s really difficult not to go for a second portion. Try their ravioli, the pasta layer is thin and perfectly balanced with the filling, not to mention the sauce. I literally cleaned up my plate.
Pizzas are made with a dough which is so light that you will digest them really easily. The dough itself is rich in taste and the toppings are various but also perfectly aligned to the best Italian standard. Try for example the truffle one, so tasteful! And don’t forget their starters, one for all their board with salumi and cheeses. In a nutshell: amazing, as the high quality of the staples used is so clear. The staff is kind and nice, you’ll breath the truest Italian atmosphere. Gianluca is a wonderful host. And go with their Prosecco or let yourself be guided in choosing a good beer. You will see that quality here is a must and that these guys do really know how to bring you to Italy still remaining in Ireland!

I gave them a 4 because the cheesecake did not taste like cheesecake at all , it tasted lactofil , more whip cream texture than cheesecake
But their MAINCOURSE IS GREAT !

La nourriture y est délicieuse, des ingrédients de qualité cuisinés parfaitement. La cuisson dans un vrai four à bois fait toute une différence sur le goût.
