G. K.Amazing restaurant and staff! Myself and my friend visited Pimentos yesterday for my birthday without a booking and the staff fit us in no problem. Food was delicious and it came out in really big tapas portions. Our waitress was so nice and had brilliant customer service skills. Unfortunately I did not get her name. They even surprised me with a dessert, birthday candle and sang happy birthday. Will definitely be back.
d. h.Food was excellent, service not so much. Yes they were friendly and smiling but wouldn't clear empty plates from our table. At the end when we asked for our bill we were still left sitting there for 15 minutes and just got up and went to the bar to pay. I gave 4 stars for our 1st visit and now im removing 1.

Food ordered was good but service was slow and having to ask on a number of occassions for dishes and drinks ordered.
Noise level is bad and especially alot of noise coming from the service area.
One thing that struck me was when booking on occassions i was asked if I could bring cash as the card machine was not working but when there the card machine was working each time......what is going on there !!!

My biggest disappointment however was realising afterwards that we were not asked for COVID-19 passports nor were our details visibly recorded for contact tracing.
It was my first dining 'in' experience in Carlow since the pandemic & it was certainly lovely to be treated by my partner but I'd rather dine where infection prevention is taken seriously (even with vaccines).
Furthermore the hand sanitising system at the entrance was not working on arrival and when leaving.
We were given a booth that had partitions on 3 sides which was some benefit. Its hard for businesses right now (August 2021) but it doesn't do any favours to neglect these important health and safety measures.

M. O.1) the atmosphere is not as convivial as Mimosa in Carlow, arguably the no 1 tapas restaurant in town. It would help if they get rid of the very boxed in feeling in the cubicles .
2) the food is not bad but the quality is not on par with mimosa
3) selection is not exciting and the wine selection is not as well matched with the range of food
There are simples fixes to be made here to get them closer to competing with the best , we need them too

m. s.The tapas are very good and there is a good selection! I find that it is good if you have a big group and they are very accommodating! The vibe is very relaxed and intimate! The staff are very friendly and attentive. I would recommend the peach daiquiri it was one of the nicest daiquiri's I have ever tasted. Pimento would be a great place for a date night too!

A. S.Now now now... amazing but let me start from begining. I went there first time with my 7 y.o.daughter on Saturday evening with no booking! We walked in asked for table for 2 and the lady said they fully booked but then she realise of one cancellation and find us a table! Great first impression. The table staff were so helpful and explained how tapas food works like and what to expect. We ordered 4 dishes. All of them were very tasty and to be honest we were full after them. Lovely atmosphere around. Nice design in and outside the restaurant. Great place to meet with friends have a glass of wine and some food to share! Will be back for sure. And 100% recommend this place.

Pimento is one of my favourites so far. Great food and the cocktails are fantastic.

M. M.Really enjoyed a large get together here, which they were easily able to cater for 19+people. Good selection of food, set menu's could do with spicing up but that is personal choice. The only confusion I had was with the wine menu, it was rather pricey for middle of the road wine. The beer selection could do with adding some of the local craft beers, which are now globally recognised.

It's a good place for a large crowd, and they certainly give you enough food. There was a large drink selection and plenty of options for all manner of food requirements, vegetarians, celiacs and the like.

Ideal restaurant for a big group, 6 or more people is a different menu of tapas selections and it makes for a MASSIVE meal. Servers are on the ball despite it being an extremely busy restaurant. I ask a question after people have eaten and are out at 19:30, where are they going? what does he do? Why do the girls dress and put on make-up as if they were going to a wedding and then there is a desert in the streets in the town ???

Ottima esperienza, piatti molto buoni e sfiziosi, l'unica cosa negativa a mio parere è che hanno una birra alla spina che in Irlanda non concepisco... locale un po' troppo affollato di sabato sera, qui si mangia molto presto è meglio prenotare. Faccio una domanda dopo che la gente ha mangiato e che alle 19:30 è fuori, dove va? cosa fa?
