As far as McDonald's go, this was a pretty good one. Very well organized. They have a system current ly where you must show proof of vaccination, after this they direct you to your table where you have a number. You then use the self-order machine and don't even have to wait! They bring it to you! Really organized and food was normal standard.

Very disoriented when I entered the premises but one young man in particular was extremely helpful and showed me how to use the kiosk, didn’t catch a name, I believe his name badge said Enda. He was also very friendly, he engaged in friendly conversation (something you don’t see often in retail these days) and he really contributed to the warm, friendly environment. Will definitely be back!

By far the nicest staff I’ve ever come across. The young people that work here are so friendly and genuinely nice. The service is fast and they work efficiently. These young people have worked through a pandemic and have done so with a smile on their faces and a friendly word. They deserve recognition for their fantastic attitudes.

Take care of you. Good wholesome McDonald's food. Staff know there stuff. Manager man is sound. Saw him out at Lough Lannagh at 7 in the morning picking up mcdonald's branded litter that bold boys and girls had thrown there. Good on him! Although I would like them to stop the whole "no right turn" oppression regime.

Breakfast in macdonalds is an absolute treat, love it, you will have to wait a bit since covid-19 has slowed service down, but it's a great start to the day, staff are friendly and helpful, food is excellent and staff are friendly this makes for a very pleasant experience. Their worth every star given.

Very popular fast food outlet in the County's main town. Gets very busy, very crowded, especially at the weekends and after sports matches. Despite the rush, orders are well dealt with, both at the drive through and instore. Late opening hours until 1am Saturday and Sunday. Access to free WiFi, high chairs, separate male and female toilets. The one disabled toilet doubles as a baby changing room. Parking around this medium outlet can fill quickly as do the inside Ikea style tables, but seats can still be found. I like that cards are accepted for payment, including Contactless. Standard of food is what you'd expect from any McDonalds worldwide as is the level of hygiene. Floor staff are kept busy cleaning tables, floors and toilets, due to the heavy footfall. I don't like the wall inserted condiments area. Products fall all over the place, when you struggle to fish out salt, sugar, napkins, etc. The milk sachets for hot drinks are a nightmare to open and at least 5 are needed to colour the tea! I do like the mix of table sizes, ranging from the small round coffee tables with comfortable padded seats, to the supersized family benched table. That can seat a couple of families quite well.

Love the way chips are made ..cool staff ..seems just under too much rush sometimes ... Can't deliver warm enough food when it gets a little busy. Devil in a details . When staff are pushed by the amounts not equal possibly to serve people's in time . .details are missed. If staff is not alloud to put even one fork and one tissue per meal which would seem normal For this I give Four stars instead of Five.

Like most of McDonald's restaurants, food is coming on time with the same quality. I feel good and even is not the healthiest food sometimes I enjoy it. It's a reasonable place, with parking and seats inside, the mcdrive works well also. Staff are ok, tables are always clean.

Fast and efficient, but food quality left a lot to be desired. We ordered large fries×2, cheese burger with gluten free bun. I was told they do not stock gluten free buns..this in a country that has one of the highest rates of celiac disease and gluten intolerance in the world, so I ordered the cheese burger without a bun plus salad dressing. When the food arrived, we were dismayed to find that that the fries were overly greasy and no salad with the burger. I thought to myself that this is way below the standard for a company like Mac Donald's but did not complain due to the infrequency of my visits.

I'd give 5 stars but I got a chocolate milkshake that tasted more like coco powder than a chocolate milkshake and I was really looking forward to it, not enough ice cream in it. My daughter 8 didn't like the taste either. This McDonald's is well run, lovely staff.

Normally a 5 star review. But since the renovation there is a lot less places for a family to sit together individually. The introduction of the new touchscreen ordering system has caused a big backlog at the enterance and seems baffling to some customers. Its very very hard to get seats when it's busy. Still great food though!!

Same as every other Mac Donald's so not much to say there. Seating can be a major issue during busier periods and at times I feel you are pushed into your order before you have time to look at the menu, but that's in all Mac Donald's these days. Drive thru is always great and the car park is a nice size for its location.

Experience was positive, New ordering system using the Machine to select your meal was efficient but one may miss the human interaction, however the option to go and order at the counter is also available. The new system allows your meal to be prepared & you can see your order progress stages on the service screen similar to Argos system. From the customer point of view if you take the Argos analogy you could imagine the next step is a robot serving you food. I'm sure that's further in the future as for McDonalds in Castlbar the owners are very much interested in their customers as they interact with all customer & encourage their staff also to meet customer expectations.

It's a mac d's ... what can you say. One thing that sets it apart is the owner, always friendly and personable. One of the reasons we keep going back. Tight ship and run well even for the mac D's model. If I had one criticism the free Wi-Fi requires sign up, a pet peeve.

The owner of the McDonald's loves his McDonald's. It's clean. Super clean. Everyone smiles like it's the 1950s. That being said, it was a terrible big Mac, terrible. It was dry, and the craftmanship was sloppy, it was lobsided.
