Car broke down and we managed to get a room with for four within a matter of minutes to accommodate us! Staff were so kind and understanding and included breakfast and spacious room and bathroom were all delightful. Very thankful for their hospitality!!

I stayed there for two nights. The first night of was fine: the room was clean and the heater worked okay. Yet, the second night was bummer. The ceiling started leaking at the middle of night, which made much disturbing noice. Later it triggered the fire alarm in early morning. But the host was kind in general.

Excellent food for an Inn. Exceeded expectations on all accounts: Great service and super friendly plus delicious food. Goats cheese and Walnut salad, soup and wings were all really good and a perfect replenishment for a short break during a longer trip. Ps: Good facilities too ;-)

My favourite pub in Ireland. Home away from home. All food amazing but the soup and burgers are by far the best in the world. Stayed in the courtyard apartments for a month. Very classy accommodation. The owners and the staff are exceptional.

I stayed in this place for 1 night with 4 of my children as I was dropping 5th to Gaeltacht. When we arrived I was met by the owner who was very welcoming and told me our room was ready. I also asked about parking and he directed me around the back to loads of parking and a back entrance in. we were shown to our room and was as described a set of bunk beds a single bed and two singles joined together making a double. the room was very clean. modern had tv and tea/coffee facilities. the bathroom was very clean with towels for everyone soap and shower gel provided. it was nice and quiet. breakfast was good lots of variety and served in bar area. the staff were very helpful and nice. A perfect spot for a night or 2 and if u have 4/5 kids very well catered. would stay here again😃😃😃

Room basic but clean, very good bar food and breakfast good but comes out on piping hot plates which is good for adults but my 2 children kept burning themselves. Room we had was right next to smoking area and with the bar being very busy one of the 2 nights we stayed it probably would have been better to have our room further away. The owners and staff were friendly.

I was in with part of a group of 14 today , what can I say , relaxed atmosphere, spotless , bright , fresh & clean . Modern but traditional decor . The owners welcomed all the group ans accomidated all of our requests . The food was very special as it tasted fresh & was beautifully presented . To top it all off the Connacht Inn have the Green Bean brand as there coffee provider . This is a fantastic place that puts Castlebar back on the map .

Stayed here in July 2017 ...great atmosphere .very central for shopping and touring west coast of Ireland. The owners of the inn where very nice and hospitable.the food was excellent and we would go back again .

I think the bar maids name was Vikki. Was quiet when I ventured in but had great Craic with her. Would go back just for the chats with her. Other than that, excellent decor and a lovely pub

Called in there for a pint before the mayo v Armagh match, the old man behind the bar was the most incompetent barman I have ever come across, totally ignorant and sullen. The bar wasn't over busy, I left without being served, I,m never going back

Had the pleasure of staying in the connaught over the weekend. Greated on entry showed entries in/out carpark loads of space. The rooms tidy cosy and warm. Staff were brilliant ciolon great lad very attentive. Breakfast was very tasty wee got a lunch snack was excellent. Great drink just an all round nice place relaxed until we left. Definately make a return soon. Bang on folks great people great service.
