H. S.Fantastic to have this on our doorstep. Lovely Restaurant and I'm slow to be critical as it is well respected locally but recently I ordered a Steak rare and came medium +. I didn't send it back and I didn't bring it to their attention but it was still a great steak, just not what I ordered. When you are local it's harder to do that. The staff that night were excellent but probably learning and I wasn't going to be the so called expert. Side effect of my job that I eat out a few times a week so I'm probably more critical than most and after two years of been out of action it's like starting again and if you have read this far and you should if you make decisions based on reviews then if you are near Ballinlough or just passing then make sure you book here for dinner. I've eaten here many times and not to mention take aways during lockdown and always worth it. Highly recommended.

Food is gorgeous and locally sourced , reasonably priced for quality offered, very courteous and professional service and really cosy , comfortable dining rooms, lounge and bar areas. Covid precautions adhered to but not in any way intrusive on customers. Great to see the Stone House up and raring to move on . Well done guys.👏🥂

The staff are so welcoming and clearly passionate about the food production and service provided. Cosy tables by an open fire with the finest of food & service! What's not to love?

The food was so tasty. We had starters, mains and dessert and it was all delicious. There was a nice space between courses and we never felt rushed. Such a relaxed meal that we could enjoy.
We finished off with a cocktail🍹and it was no problem for the staff to accommodate us by making a cocktail not on their list.
Would highly recommend 👌the food, the staff, the setting, it was all perfect and we will definitely be back.

B. O.Another top class takeaway Sunday lunch from our favourite restaurant. We are so lucky to have you in Ballinlough. Before I even mention the food I have to compliment the service by Ray, Mags & Saoirse. It is simply flawless. The extra care and attention they have paid during Covid for us has been mind blowing and our treasured takeaway meals have kept us looking forward through some very trying weeks.
The food is simply exquisite my favourite is the smoky barbecue chicken wings, the wonderful stir fries and the ribs. The desserts and cocktails are truly dreamy. Thank you to all in the Old Stonehouse Restaurant who have continued to excel through the most difficult past year, we can’t wait to be back at the fire and spending an evening with you.
