Had breakfast here. It was OK but the bacon was overcooked and the coffee was very slow coming out (had to ask for it). Coffee was also not very hot and a small cup. The bread for the toast was lovely.

Very friendly and efficient staff. 🥰 I had their bacon & cheese burger - which didn’t wow me as it was a little dry - while my partner had their steak (which came spotless and in the way she loves: very well done). I might go back again only to give a try to their steak! 😋

The waiter that was dealing with us was completely clueless didn’t know anything about the menu, I wanted gravy to go with my chicken but he told me I couldn’t and I asked why not, He had to get another member of staff to ask me what I wanted. He never took our drink order. The service was slow and took forever to get our meal. When we eventually got our food it was cold. For the price I paid I would expect better service and better quality for the price that I was paying. It wasn’t my first time coming here so I expected so much better.

For breakfast, I go for the Eggs Royale and warm beef salad for lunch or dinner. Those two are my go-to meals any time I visit Amicus. Quality of service somewhat depends on who checks you in and who serves your order. Overall Amicus is high up on the list.

Not sure if you should take in consideration my review. The day we decided to go there, was Jazz Festival Weekend meaning that the place was very crowded. We didn't have a reservation and they agreed to fix a table for us. The restaurant is nice and cozy, waiters are polite and helpful. Food came very late and it was tasteless and burned which i would like to believe that was because of the over crowded situation.

Amicus were very decent to donate a voucher to the UCC Cancer Society for their fundraiser raffle, and we were the lucky ones to win that prize. We had a fabulous dinner for 2 with wine included. The staff and manageress were very helpful and courteous, and we enjoyed our experience very much. 5 stars for their generosity and the staff

Good friendly restaurant in the city centre.5 minute wait for a table on a busy Saturday afternoon.Food is good,chicken wings cleaned to the bone,pizza finito.Beef burger & pulled pork burger both delicious.Upstairs toilet can be a slog for some but you burn off some of the gained calories.Very good staff working here! Latest visit on a very busy Christmas evening not so good.Fries lukewarm,wrong pizza to what was ordered.The person who selected eating here hours earlier was not a happy camper. Latest visit is during COVID19 & things have changed.Wear a mask entering,exiting & going to toilets.Pay your bill at your table & use sanitiser entering.Tables more spaced out to keep distance from fellow diners & tables sanitized before you sit.Details taken while you wait which was not long.All staff wear face shield/masks.The food & service is pretty good,the chicken wings got a lot of praise "they have the best sauce",high praise from the young fella who knows his wings!

Amicus was one of the top 5 restaurants I visited during my stay throughout Ireland. They had ginger beer (which is a favorite of mine) and it tasted great. Dessert was light. I wish the ice cream servings were a bit more generous. Definitely enjoyed the sweet potatoes fries (or chips as they were called). The steak had potential, but I decided to order medium well instead of medium. Next time I will be sure to try it medium. The staff were friendly and gave us a little history about the town.

Hot damn! Came in with a friend as it looked real fancy outside and the were shocked to see the menu. Such a reasonable price ranging from 7s to 15 max. My friend got the Almighty Flat Bread and a Heineken for only 13.10 and they gave us free chips too. And then I had the Steak sandwich added with peppercorn sauce. That was the perfect dish. So well cooked for medium rare, seasoned well with skin on fries. Dishes in the photos. Servers were lovely aswell considering the covid. Very well cleaned and managed with social distancing. Price 5 Ambience 5 Food 5 Staff cleanliness 5 So happy with it. Definitely back again for sure.

Food was nice but service wasn't very attentive. They now have vegan/vegetarian menu with some lovely options. I had vegan fajita, which was beautifully served, quite tasty but a bit too oily for me. Unfortunately, the service was not very good. I actually received a wrong order but end up keeping it to avoid the fuss. It was very difficult to get the server's attention after the initial order and we spend a long while trying to order some extras.

Good restaurant in the centre of cork very busy when we arrived at 5pm but got a table with no issues. Staff very pleasant and and food arrived within 20mins of ordering I had the almighty flatbread which was tasty and the beef brisket was cooked well. The fajitas come in a stack and also very good food was not that expensive before 6pm we where 50euro for the four of us eating.

We have been at Amicus a few times. We will come here to either celebrate or to have a romantic evening. Amicus has had outdoor seating for sometime. The restaurant itself is good for food and a drink. The atmosphere on the street is lively: buskers and other shows. They are wheelchair accessible. My wife loves it here, I think it's just okay. The staff are nice and I like the decor and layout. The atmosphere is relaxed and it's a nice place to be. The soup both of us had was lovely to be fair but there's nothing special about the starters and mains I've had here either. It's worth a mention that it isn't cheap either. Now it's not expensive but when a burger is €12 there's nothing wrong there you think, but "add an extra patty for €5" seems a bit off. I wouldn't be ordering it anyway but it jumped out at meas poor value....or the steak sandwich sounds nice and reasonable as well but, "add pepper sauce for €1.50" sounds wrong as well. Even if it was just a buck you'd say yeah whatever but I felt like it just didn't sit right with me and stood out as a very odd menu.

I was here on a morning last week with my family for Breakfast.Food was good but staff where not welcoming.The man at the front desk was not a bit pleasant.It was as if he did not want us there.No smile.A bit up himself I would say.Other staff where okay. Did not feel welcome and will not eat there again.It was not busy so that can't be an excuse.We have eaten out in different places and staff are lovely and welcoming.The staff here could do with a bit of training.Also got our tea and coffee straight away so it was cold by the time we got our breakfast around half hour later.

I went here for the first time on Sunday with my sister. We were instantly seated and given a sheet with a qr code on it. However, neither me or my sister knew how to use this until a really helpful waitress showed us how to. My sister had to scan the sheet with her camera until the menu came up on her phone. I think it would be much easier for Amicus to just give customers a menu. Some people might not have a phone or their phone could’ve died and also alot of older people I know would not know what to do. The food was surprisingly cheap and really tasty.

Amicus is a bit expensive for the quality of food that they serve, I ordered a beef lasagna with chips. The chips was bland and overcooked and the lasagna was reheated in the microwave and as a result the lasagna was extremely hot in the middle. The food was average as best. I wouldn't recommend amicus as there is better options around cork city centre.

I've been twice recently. First time, Sunday early afternoon, dropped in for brunch. Lovely food, but the service was a bit off. Table not clean when we sat down, 3 different servers over the course of the meal, needed to remind about drinks order, no-one to be seen for about 10 minute after we got our food so we couldn't ask for extra water. Second time around was a group meal, & similar, but poorer service experience. Despite the advance booking for a set menu, we were given the a la cartes when we arrived & confusion ensued when we raised it. First waiter was somewhat rude...seemed he didn't want to be there. Service was done over people's heads & stretching across people without any warning or apologies. Again, the food was good & the group were quite relaxed, so we enjoyed ourselves, but I'm not sure I'd go back in a hurry...I'd probably try a few other places first.

Great service, we arrived with a double buggy for ours twin girls, not the easiest thing to park in a restaurant, and the staff found a place for us where we would be confortable, those little things are greatly appreciated. The menu had something for everybody and everything we tried was delicious! Reasonably priced will definitely recommend it.

Came a bit late for lunch. Waiting times for the food were a bit long so dont come here famished. I ordered the Meat Board and although it was flavorful, the meat seemed dry in texture like a board indeed. The roasted vegies though was excellent.

It was ok. I find amicus sort of underwhelming. Few years back it was the BEST place to eat in cork I don't think this anymore. The food is good and quite reasonably priced if you're not local you won't be disappointed but after going here for so many occasions for over a decade I'm a bit bored of it now.

. The bread and dips board and warm beef salad (which is near 5 star in my opinion), and the well behaved child friendly atmosphere keeps us coming back trying some new things. However we have been frequenting less and less as the quality of the food had diminished since the recent renovation. The seafood chowder has been removed from the menu and the "pizza" is akin to some tomato pasata and massive amount of cheese on top of a floured (gluten free perhapse?) tortilla.
