K. C.Lovely food, would recommend the steak. The view is amazing - looking out over the ocean - whether you're sitting inside or out. Parking could be a bit awkward for bigger cars but there's plenty of space for smaller cars. Despite the crowds, it doesn't feel cramped inside, though they are usually busy so booking a table in advance is best. Staff are friendly and try to be helpful whenever possible. Not cheap but definitely affordable. A great place for a sunny lunch or a warm evening dinner. There's also a small beach at the base of the hill if you feel like wetting your toes while your food digests.
d. k.Great setting, service on point. Spacious inside out with enough place for everyone. Wide range on the menu, with affordable prices, portions big enough. Food was served nicely and tasted really fresh and good. Must visit if in vicinity, if not for the food at least for the view.
Edit: this guy who is complaining with 1 star review is daft clearly. My experience: My family (4 of us) walked in from the beach in the most busy time of the day 16.30h. When asked for reservations I replied that we didn't know it's gonna be that busy (sunny day) and the would just like to eat and go. We were seated as there were enough tables. It's just stupid to reserve a table online when you can call the establishment.

I had fish & chips but it wasn’t anything special, chips below average, fish maybe too dry... but that was an exception, the rest of the meals was excelent! Starters oh my and deserts dreaming... My colleague with his sirloin steak was super happy... Murphy’s beer is very well served here...

Attention to detail by staff is not great, the outdoor area tends to get quite littered by diners due to the breeze, which a few minutes cleaning up would solve, but staff tend to ignore it. Our cutlery was soiled and they replaced it when asked but there was no apology. Service is pretty good and the food was tasty. We didn't feel rushed even though the place was busy. It

C.Location, location, location.... great views, popular spot, friendly service and atmosphere....unfortunately for me personally the food didnt quite match the location. Starter : scotch egg in curry sauce, tasty but lukewarm, main : stuffed pork wrapped in bacon with baby pots and roasted beetroot, very dry and completely overcooked, dessert : bread and butter pudding, not even warm enough to melt the ice-cream that came with it. My wife and kids enjoyed theirs...that's the main thing ! 😁

The social distancing and hygiene protection measures were really well organised and we felt very safe.

The regular menu is well balanced with a good variety of traditional fare, and the specials are all tempting. The chowder was easily one of the best I've had. The lamb shank was cooked perfectly as well. The staff were wonderful, friendly and made our afternoon a pleasure. Can't wait to go back.

The kids had a main course from the kids menu, plenty of choice and large enough for older kids. The chocolate brownie was amazing. Booking recommended as it was very busy.

D. T.The view here is pretty difficult to beat. Ideal place for a date or even just to stop in for soup or a dessert. Food is top notch especially the desserts. I've come here a few dozen times and I've not had a bad experience. If you are sitting outside you can ask for a blanket if it's a bit cold which is a nice touch. Prices are reasonable enough for what you get too. Definitely call ahead and reserve if you can as this place is busy!

K. K.First time here and was blown away by the view, relaxing atmosphere and setting. It puts it ahead of any restaurant in Kinsale for this reason. I don't think there's a restaurant anywhere could match it on location alone.
Bit disappointed with staff member who took us to our table as the first thing we were told was they needed the table at 6:30pm when we were sitting down at 4pm for soup........didn't quite get the point of telling us that and it set a different tone to the one we had been feeling up to that point.
All in all we were well looked after and enjoyed our visit.

S. H.I have visited this establishment on countless occasions and the vistas alone are a convincing reason to dine here.
However, last year I would have given this restaurant an easy 5 star but due to recent price hikes, food which I would have once called exquisite is only adequate for such prices. I will come back here again without a doubt and I hope that the service and food standard had responded to said new prices.

R. S.Lovely restaurant with extraordinary views of the coastline. They actually go out of their way to make sure you have an enjoyable meal and time there. Strictly a mixed menu but catering for all people with varying dietary requirements be it gluten free, pescetarian or vegan. They also boast an amazing death by chocolate cake that I would personally go back for. Well done guys and keep up the great work!

Food is seasonal with the chowder being a stalwart. Its a starter but very generous with plenty of fish meat in it and what I can only imagine half the cream in Cork. I followed that up with pork belly. Again be warned that the portion is generous. The best word to describe it is a 'slab.' I ate every bit that came with a seasonal sauce. Fantastic
