Very tasty food! The food here was really great quality and so were the drinks! One tiny bit of criticism (or advice...) - the waiter, though really friendly and welcoming, didn't seem to know much about the menu items (which he apologised for). I understand that it's a very new menu though and there may be new staff, but it's good to make sure the staff know the menu well. I'd still highly recommend to anyone visiting Cork!

From start to finish what a great night. The food was fantastic, especially the Seafood Laksa. We did work our way through the cocktail list and I must say not one of them disappointed! Dan and the rest of the staff were amazing, made us feel so welcome and were great craic. Can't wait to go back!

Friendliest staff in Cork. Spent last night in Electric and can't rate the staff and the service highly enough. In particular Niamh and Ethan were really exceptional. Didn't catch the names of anyone else but they were also really great. The whole place gave off a great vibe and the food was delicious as well. Definitely try the baby chocolate cake if you're in there. Can't wait to get back again for a visit. The mix of Asian fusion dishes on the menu is a really fresh change from what you normally see on a bar menu.

Had a top class night sitting outside with my partner. The staff Dan, Carol & Andrea are the nicest and accommodating we’ve come across in a while. Nothing was a problem and know there products and services inside out. Drinks were on point and the sexy slides were a hit. Music was at a perfect level where there was a buzz but not overpowering the conversation and mingling. Will definitely be back.

We had dinner in Electric last night and were impressed by the Japanese food and feel to the place. Having eaten in Japan and in good Japanese restaurants abroad, we were glad to realise that the food at Electric was tasty and authentic (the Gyoza were 👌🏼)! Have already booked to go back!

Not very accomodating towards vegetarians. Won't alter dishes which hints to me that most dishes are pre made. Small portions with a large price tag .. at least the drinks were nice. Also took deposit on booking but was never mentioned during our time there or when it came to paying the bill.

We were staying in the area and just cycled back from Blarney when we spotted the Electric bar. We were looking for outside seating as it was a beautiful evening but it was really busy and no seating available. Dan came to our rescue, and offered us a sunny position inside the bar area which was perfect. We were going for the normal Guinness so we thought (being English) but Dan informed us that we should try the Beamish in Cork. Fabulous recommendation which led to us having a further pint. Dan was very attentive, kept making sure we were ok and couldn’t have been more welcoming. Having said that, all the staff were very friendly and smiley. Loved everything about this place along with great music. Thanks for making us feel so welcome. Best find yet!!

Fab table with vista. Excellent choices re menus. Table for 2 hours as rebooked for next sitting. Manager David so very nice and welcoming. Excellent team working there. We opted for 30 Euro menu. Starter & mains. Inclusive of soft drink, a beer or glass of wine. Fish cake delicious. Fish & chips with mushy peas, lemon. Very tasty. Light bites. Others opted for 6 oz steak, mushrooms, onions & chips. We had cocktails. Delicious well made & presented. We opted to share dessert. Menu. Creme brulee with strawberries. Arrived with rasberries. I opted to share ice cream 3 scoops served in a tuile basket. 3 scoops arrived quite melted no tuile cup. Blueberries and chopped berries. Not what it stated either on menu. Asked our server why. He said new pastry chef aged 17. Just out from college. So maybe learning. Lame excuse. We both tasted ice cream. Fish taste. Horrible. Sent it back. In general buzzy, busy spot. Booking definately advised. Fab ambience. Great clientele. Out door seating. Please if you do not have what is on the menu. Please advise your customer. So an option can be made to change your decision.

This is a nice bar. I haven't been in a while and the first thing I noticed is that the upholstery is in need of some TLC. The bar boasts a large open window at one end, which overlooks the River Lee. This is a great place to grab a moment and think over a coffee. The coffee however, didn't match the view unfortunately. It was lacklustre and devoid of character. The staff on the other hand, have always been great any time I've frequented this bar, and this occasion was no different. The bar is often really busy when the sun comes out as it boasts a table area that let's you watch the world go by over a beer. The bar is also a lively spot on the weekends at night.

Service was very poor to the point of absent. We had to chase waiting staff to order drinks. When waiting staff appeared to clear our table after our meal we were told the kitchen closed at ten so we couldn't order desert. It was 10.02 at this point and we had finished our main meals thirty minutes previous. Despite this, tables around us continued to be served food and deserts for over half an hour. Cocktails and food were very good its just a pity we couldn't find staff to order more.

Now this really is a nice bar with friendly and helpful staff. Looks very modern from the outside and a reasonable ambienmce when you go in, even on a rainy day. The staff were really helpful and nice. The bar is located just by the river and war memorial, so is a handy meeting place. Drinks are reasonably priced for the city centre and the place is kept clean.

Amazing food and amazing service. Electric had something for everyone in our big party. Amazing vegetarian options as well as a broad steak menu. Lovely location for a few cocktails in the bar downstairs after the meal aswell. The highlight of the entire evening for everyone was the desserts they were outstanding. Really nice spot with an amazing view on the river, especially when the sun is out. Get a table outside and enjoy! I went twice, first time for dinner and the food was amazing. But I had the chocolate brownie today and it was really too sweet and totally overcooked in the middle (couldn't cut it at all, had to go with my teeth...). Small bump on the road, the place is still totally worth the while.

Lovely bar, great cocktails and wonderful food. Came here for my graduation with my parents and was not disappointed! Even when there was a situation in the upstairs restaurant, the staff did all the could to accommodate us by moving us to a different table and they were very apologetic! I've been here for a few drinks with close pals and the atmosphere is always great! Lovely seats overlooking the river inside, and if the weather is good, you're in luck, sitting out with a drink on a clear dry day is something everyone should experience with their friends! Ireally wanted to give 4 1/2 just for the fact that service at the downstairs bar can be a bit hit and miss, but I do think that could have just been a very busy night!

Really enjoyed our meal here. I got the buttermilk chicken burger. Service was quick for how busy the bar was. I've eaten here before and had alot worse experience service wise, this day was better but could improve on this. For example, a waitress came to our table to take the orders, I started to say what I would like and she turned to the table behind her to chat with people she seemed to have met earlier in the day and left us wait. Thought it was a bit rude.

Lovely restaurant/bar. Food is always great, but can be a little more expensive than other places in Cork, but also not outrageous, however, it’s great for a special occasion or a treat! Staff are always lovely and there is also a great selection of cocktails. Desserts are also delicious, I love their crumbles, which change fruit depending on the season.

We enjoyed the early bird menu in the main restaurant 4-6:30pm, and everything was delicious and presented very well. I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. However, is no longer 1995 and vegan meals are available in many places.The avocado arancini was very good and the figs caponata too (a bit small this one but nicely cooked and tasty), the sticky rice (which wasn't sticky at all) with sweet potato and veggies was ok, not a great dish though, coconut was too strong and it sweetened the curry too much. The flatbread my wife had was small, dry and not crunchy as the veggies were on top of it. Dessert, a vegan chocolate tart which is available in other places in town, exactly the same so frozen or anyway pre-made. You can do better I'm sure, working the ingredients is key when it come to vegan fine dining and vegan cousin, for now you're just putting them together. 10 for the service, 10 for the venue, 6 for the meal.

My favorite restaurant in Cork. There is simply no other place to have proper fish in town, and the entire menu is to die for. Can be a bit busy during weekend times with the bar on the ground floor if you're into quiet dining, but it's incredibly worth it. I strongly recommend the fish bar, get some fantastic sea food and a nice wine, have a seat with a view on the river Lee, enjoy!

The Fish Bar used to be great for ordering several small plates of seafood and vegetables to share, and was reasonably priced for the very delicious food. Sadly they have changed the menu to run-of-the-mill dinners that are a little expensive for what you get, and too big/expensive to order a mix of plates for sharing. It's a real pity, we probably won't go there as often as we used. The staff are still lovely though.

A beautiful venue with a warm atmosphere and hospitable and kind staff. All the class of a modern, slick city bar while still holding onto the comparable cosiness of a local coffee spot. The boardwalk along the river is an amazing spot for bulmers in the sun, Guinness around October and hot whiskeys come winter. This bar and restaurant is an integral and favourite part of cork city, well run and a pleasure to frequent.

I was a little disapointed... not much fish on the lunch menu. I ordered mussles, which were out. Apparently they did not have the steak for lunch which is on the lunch menu. The lamb shank from the specials was good but could have used a little more salt. The poor bartender even doubted they had the gin I was about to order although advertised over the bar... Over all they seemed not well organised.

This place is just a good time! Whatever your plans are! You can just have a drink with your friends after work, you may have your hot date meet you there for a glass of wine or just a girls Sunday brunch! Everything works in Electric. The bites are nice, the atmosphere is relaxed. Sometimes they have live bands too!

Had dinner here this evening. Two starters of chowder with a champagne salmon and John dori for mains. The two chowders varied dramatically as regards the amount of seafood in each, with one far exceeding the other. Both very salty. The salmon mains was quite a substantial piece of fish which was well presented, but could have been warmer. The John dori was excellent but small. Would have expected more for 31 euro. The staff, from the security man that opened the door for us, to the manager and floor staff were excellent and made us feel welcome. Heineken 0 on draught is a plus.

Came in here for the first time on St Patrick's Day to watch the second half of the rugby. The place was packed, which was to be expected, but my boyfriend and I were blown away by the girl behind the bar with the cool fringe. She is probably the most efficient bar tender I've ever seen! She was practically taking care of the entire bar herself without any hassle!

However the service was very very good, could not do enough for us to get it right, the chef needs to learn to cook ordinary veg. Would I got back yes just for the steak, but my wife said I will be on my own. Total payment for 4 people including 8 drinks 4 x pints and 4 shorts with mixers was €194.90 with out service charge.
